Welcome to Heal Yourself, Change Your Life. My name is Brandy Gillmore, and after recovering from my own life changing injury, it's become my mission to share with others the same discoveries I made. that changed my health and my entire life. Our minds are truly incredible. The placebo is proof of this.

Each week I will take this simple awareness to a whole new level. I will even coach live callers to free themselves of physical pain using only their mind. And then I'll provide you with a combination of practical and spiritual insights that you can use to master your mind and body. Your emotions and your energy to help you heal your health, yourself and your life.

Let's begin.

Hello, and welcome to this week's quick IQ episode, where we talk about insights and questions. And today I want to talk about psychedelics or ketamine or ayahuasca, you know, different types of drugs or. Ceremonies and journeys, you know, medicine journeys, different things like that. I want to really highlight some important things about this topic.

Now I do have to say people throughout the years have asked my opinion and I have steered clear of this topic entirely because I haven't wanted to endorse it and also. I haven't wanted to speak poorly about it, you know, I don't like to speak poorly about things. So I try to just focus on what does work and not speak negatively about anything that doesn't.

And also be careful about what I really endorse or promote because I really have to believe in it. And so I do want to talk about this topic because I think there are some really important things that we need to look at on this topic sooner rather than later. And part of the reason this comes up at this point is because is just because recently I've heard some people blaming Matthew Perry about his ketamine and, you know, he died from having way too much ketamine in his system and also, you know, health issues and being in the hot tub and just all of these things.

But I've heard some people saying that it's his fault, et cetera, et cetera. And of course he did have too much in his bloodstream. But I want to unpack this even more. And again, there are some really important insights on this entire topic that I think everybody really needs to pay attention to. And so that's the reason we're going to unpack this.

And by the way, I do want to say, we're going to talk about a few more details as far as Matthew Perry, and I am not An expert in his situation. So I just want to say that right up front, you know, of course I have worked with several celebrities. He was not one of them, but I want to look at and examine his situation just for a quick moment, because it's profound when you stop and think about it.

You know, Matthew Perry had a. Long struggle with drug addiction. Of course, that's well known. And of course, if you read up on the news on what unfolded, basically the story is, is that, you know, he got injured in, I believe it was a jet ski accident, and from that he started taking Vicodin, and then he got addicted to pain medication, and And it kind of just continued to spiral from there.

Now, when we stop and think about it for a moment, part of what we really need to look at is instead of blaming him, what we want to do is first and foremost, realize that his subconscious mind was programmed to believe that the way for him to feel good, to feel better. Was from a pill or a bottle or a substance and that was very much Programmed into him and that was very much shaping his entire life as we all know if you're familiar with his story You know that he had quite a long battle with Drug use and pill use and all of these things now part of the thing we really need to wake up to To the awareness is this, is that when we look at the bigger picture, if we think about, you know, cocaine, if we think about the history of cocaine, that was used in the medical field.

You know, even Sigmund Freud had promoted cocaine as being a safe to use tonic for, was it for sexual impotence and depression? And if you think about, cocaine started there, or even if we think about meth, meth has had its place throughout the medical system. So we look at methamphetamines, we look at cocaine, we look at acid, we look at Vicodin.

My point being is this, is that when you stop and look at it, I mean, the awareness that Cocaine was used for depression by Sigmund Freud. We as a culture have a habit of selling people on a substance. That is a tonic that is supposed to help. And then when people get addicted to substances, we make them wrong.

We blame them. So people who are, you know, now addicted to things like Oxycontin and dying from it, or all of these different medications, and then we look down on them. Now, thankfully, because I was on medications, thankfully, I never got addicted, which was really great and I'm super grateful for. And I also can have so much compassion for all of these people.

And if you ask me, if I've had people that have come into classes with health issues or different things like that, who have been somewhat, if I guess you would call it addicted to, ayahuasca, so much so. that I've talked to people who have literally, their body has gotten to a point where they're rejecting ayahuasca, and so then they start taking it as suppositories.

And so, my point being, is that we have a long history of taking drugs, such as, you know, going back to even, if we think about cocaine, That it's great cure for depression. It's great cure for sexual impotence and all of these things. I mean, if you think about cocaine was so safe. It was even in Coca Cola, you know, the, the soft drink.

Now, of course, to be clear, I'm not saying cocaine is safe, but I'm saying that was the mind set. That was the mindset. And then we go into a pattern where then people get addicted. Why? Because they then get it linked up in their subconscious mind that the pill is going to help them. The substance, that they need the substance, that's the answer.

And then what happens is then they get addicted, and then we make them wrong as a culture, and we look down on them, we judge them, we call them drug addicts. So, I want to invite you to really come to the present moment, present day, and if somebody tells you that there is a substance that is a hundred percent safe, and it is really great for your mindset, or depression, or whatever it is, think about it.

Just think about it. I'm, again, as I mentioned in the very beginning, I don't want to say one way or another, you know, I don't know your situation and as always with any type of medication or treatment, talk to your doctor, all of that. So I'm not trying to give you medical advice here or diagnose you. I'm just saying that in the big picture, we need to be aware.

And personally in my own life, I am glad that I learned how to use my mind to really heal myself. I addressed what was really going on. I learned how to reprogram my mind and that was pivotal. It changed my health, my life, even of course, the way my mind works. The fact that I got this gift or this ability to, you know, feel what people are feeling or get to know them.

Universal information, whatever you want to call it. I mean, it just changed my life, my health, my happiness, what I'm manifesting. And of course, ultimately, that's what I would love for everybody to do, you know, for you to be able to do, is to master your mind, to be able to heal yourself, change your life.

That That is the goal, and, you know, and I would say that, of course, that took me working with the mind in a different way, and that's of course why we can look at, you know, results under thermography, or even past episodes where I coach people to use their own mind to release their own pain. And even do that under medical equipment where you can see it is because obviously, you know, working with the mind in a different way was really key.

And I would say that, you know, for each different thing going on, the more that we understand the mind and the more that you understand your own mind, the more empowered you are because our minds are truly incredible. And, you know, even what I go into on these episodes, it is still just. Scratching the surface because if you think about when I work with a volunteer it is really a first session You know, it's when I'm meeting people for the very first time And so a lot of times what I try to do is, you know, of course pour into them The changes that they need to make and we can go even deeper in the mind of reprogramming the mind.

I mean, there's just so much more. I mean, I have an entire video course for four weeks, four week video course that helps you to really understand how to rewire your mind and what the mind is doing. And so point being is just. Even in these sessions, in these episodes, they're, they're powerful. They're insightful.

You take, you know, I mean, every single episode, that's what I love. Every episode, every volunteer that I work with on the volunteer episodes, there's different insights or awarenesses or epiphanies that can give you more clarity and There is so much to the mind. There is more to the mind that to me, again, just very simply going back to I'm glad I didn't use drugs to try to figure it out or feel like drugs are the answer for my mind, but instead learned how to use my mind.

And I think that that is ultimately what our bigger goal should be for everybody to do is to learn to master their own mind. And when I start to look at all of the different things people use, you know, it's the biggest problem that I see is when people feel like it's the cure, because if your mind feels like it's the cure, what does it do?

It wants more and more of it, you know? And so when you stop and think about it for a moment, with Matthew Perry, he stopped doing all of the pills because he wanted to get clean. He was afraid he was going to die from the drug use. And then, what did he do? Worked to get clean and then died from an overdose on ketamine.

Again, I'm not trying to recommend that you do take it. I'm not trying to recommend that you don't take it. What I am saying is I'm glad that I didn't take it because It made me need to learn how to use my own mind. And, the problem is, is that we haven't understood how to use them, and how to program them.

You know, if you stop and think about it for a moment, if you think about past episodes where you hear me working with one person after another to help them release their pain, the thing of it is, is there is so much that People don't understand about the mind. The fact that we can do this back to back to back and the fact that I can show it under medical equipment.

When you stop and think about it. We're not lacking taking drugs, you know, our brain doesn't say oh, well, I need to take some drugs to be able to heal. Especially when you stop and think about it for a moment, a lot of people can also have negative experiences. If you ask me if I ever have heard of people taking ketamine and having a horrible experience, absolutely.

And of course, I've heard of people taking ayahuasca or ketamine and having a good experience. So I don't want to speak about this from any bias one way or another, but by the way, I can also say that I've seen a lot of people, I would say, have results from these because there can also be a social factor to it.

What I mean by that is, you know, if somebody does ayahuasca, then what do they do? A lot of times they tell their story and they say, Oh my gosh, there was this and there was that. So then there is a social factor. to it. You know, years ago there was this study that was done on ayahuasca with depression and the placebo group in this ayahuasca study was, I don't remember, it was somewhere around 77 or 78 percent of a benefit from the placebo of ayahuasca.

And I would, again, I would say it's because there's a novelty. And so if there's a novelty around something, what happens? There's an emotional shift. People may have a story to tell, or this, that, the other. And so, personally, I would say the biggest changes that I have seen with people and their energy actually has to do with the stories they tell from it afterwards, and the social connection in the stories.

And that, that, in my experience in watching people's energy. Has been the biggest shift that I have seen from it and of course Have I seen a lot of people of course come into classes who have done that who have been down that road who have had a horrible time Absolutely, you know, that's obviously why they are still on the journey looking for something else And when I of course look at the bigger picture, I can see the pattern of the medical community or even in Psychiatrist, psychologist, you know, feeling like, okay, well, cocaine is safe.

It gets deemed safe. People get addicted. Now they're bad. Like, you know, I can see that pattern. Or Oxycontin, bunch of people take it, they get addicted. Or Matthew Perry, Chetsky accident. Now we see him as a drug addict. Now we blame him. I mean, it's just, it's, it's not right. And so the biggest takeaways that I want to invite you to look at in this is first and foremost, I want to invite you to be aware that you are the answer, that the answer is inside of you, that there are specific ways of working with the mind that work.

So my point is, is there's a lot more depth to the mind, to understanding the mind, to programming the mind that I even cover on this podcast, because I can't do it all in one session, you know. I mean, but yes, people can shift out of their pain. And even if you think about past episodes where you hear me coach people and, and show them how to use their own mind to shift pain, that's what I want them to see is, hey, we can do this.

And, for every single person, I would recommend going deeper, transforming even deeper into the subconscious mind, releasing old patterns, transforming your mindset, really rewiring your mind. So there's a lot more to it, or maybe in past episodes you've heard me talking about it. You know, the fact that there's an order, like anytime I'm working with somebody's mind, there's always an order to it.

And I think a lot of people, they just kind of approach the mind where they try and do anything, which wouldn't work with a computer or driving a car. You know, and for a lot of people, that's the approach with the mind is just throw everything you've got at it. And, you know, even if you think about what do a lot of people do, a lot of times people will sit and they talk more and more about the negative.

And then, in our world all around us, what do you hear? News, or TV, or, you know, there's a lot of times, part of the problem is that our minds are being inundated with negative information, and then people wonder why they're depressed. But, just, my point is simply, That we're not working with the mind in the right way

And so one of the takeaways, there's a couple of them, and I've started before to say that, but there's a couple of them. One, I want to invite you to be very aware that we have in our culture, a long pattern and a lot of patterns of telling people that drugs are safe and you know, if you look at

And so it's sneaky. And so I just want to invite you to be aware of that. And second, I want to invite you to look at your life and make sure that you are taking time regularly to bring positivity into your mindset on purpose, you know, and fueling that. And by the way, just so you know, even like in my programs and my healing course and classes and whatnot.

Um, I have things that are called uplift calls that are calls where a bunch of people from around the world get on the calls and we literally bring in positive mind programming to help uplift and shift and transform and feel good and really elevate the mind and emotions and it's just, it's amazing.

feeling good and also creating a shift. And so point being is I want to invite you to make sure that you're making a point, a regular point to bring in positivity, to create that shift in your life also. All right. So that's today's quick IQ episode. And, as always, I want to ask you to please do take a quick moment to hit the share button on this episode.

You know, share it with somebody you love, somebody you care about, or somebody you don't even know. Because the more happy and healthy that every single person is, the better. the better this world is for all of us. And so please do make a point to hit the share button and please do make a point to have an incredible loving and happy rest of your day.

That is the point. And the power of these demonstrations is to create a radical shift in our world consciousness by showing everyone.

What we are all capable of. And of course, each volunteer will really need to follow through to reinforce their programming, to maintain their results. But the point is for you to see that you really can create rapid results in your health and your life, if you really understand how to use your mind, you're incredible.

And I do want to be clear though, that most people will not get results this fast on their own. I make it look very easy because of the discoveries that I made.
