Hello, and welcome to this week's quick IQ episode where we talk about insights and questions. And today I want to talk about personal strength and feeling in your power, because let's be honest, if you've been going through an injury or any type of illness, It, the first thing to go a lot of times can be your feeling of strength, your feeling of confidence.

I know for me personally, to go from living a full life and, and then suddenly feeling like I have a hard time even taking a shower or doing things that I needed to do. I mean, it really took my confidence and my strength and not only that, but of course then I also felt beyond exhausted and drained and in pain.

And so it was really hard. to try to keep my feelings of strength and yet have the physical situation that I did. And even if you think about in the last episode, by the way, everybody is raving about the last episode. And I love that our volunteer, a beautiful, beautiful being, Just great self awareness, great self honesty, and so many people loved seeing a session on video where you can really see the interaction with the, the podcast volunteer.

And I thought that was really sweet, and I love the comments that have been coming in from that. Just really, really sweet and fun. And it allows you to see just working with people, I don't know, just at a deeper level. And so, I love that, but expanding on the feeling of strength, you know, whether you're somebody who is working on just Even, you know, maybe a minor health issue or even if you don't even have a physical health issue, but instead it's emotional and you're dealing with stress or if you're dealing with, you know, even an extreme health issue, that frustration or the feeling of losing your strength in life can of course can compound the problem where You know, the more you lose your strength, the more than you feel what?

More than you feel in fear. And the more you feel fear, then the more that it then keeps you stuck. And so, or creates health issues because as we know, fear will stress out your body and it can be linked to all kinds of health issues. And so it becomes this unfortunate, cycle where you lose your personal strength and then you feel more fear and it just can affect every area of your life.

And I know personally I went through that very spiral. And so that's today's insight that I want to invite you that if you are in that place to see what you could do to just start accessing small feelings of strength. Throughout the day and by the way, this is exactly what I did. I was like if I was capable of something I would do it and You know, even though my injury I was in bad shape I would always try to lift myself with my arms or even you know Pushing around a wheelchair my own my my upper body remained pretty strong Going through my injury, uh, my lower body, my legs, however, I mean, you could see the bones and down, down my, um, my legs.

I mean, my, my legs were pure bones. And so, uh, they were very, very weak, but I did what I could and I accessed the strength. When I could, and even just in little ways. And what I would say is that was something that was also helpful to me because the more I could access my strength, and then the more I did access my strength and the more I could, and the more I did, and the more I could, that was very powerful.

That was a really strong, really important shift for me, even though it may seem small when you're just doing little things, the feeling of feeling more and more capable, even in small ways. was great because as I felt capable, as I felt stronger, it does what? It helps to start reduced feelings of fear. So this may seem very simple and yet it's also profound.

And by the way, I have worked with people with very large businesses and making millions of dollars or actually in a bad place where they were losing millions of dollars and who had been so paralyzed by fear and stuck and, uh, you know, having panic attacks and. And just we've heard the term or the phrase before, you know, paralyzed by fear.

And even in those situations, starting to then take action, but also access feelings of strength can be pivotal. And so that's really the insight that I wanted to bring to you today is this, is that, you know, sometimes if we're feeling tired or we're feeling like there's no point or things are hopeless, which all of which, you know, all of those I, I went through in a, in a major way.

I would say a key for me was continuing to access my strength as much as I could. And, and I'm not saying, you know, go hurt yourself or do things that you're not capable of doing. What I am saying is if there are ways in, in your life where you feel like you can continue to access your strength, I'm inviting you not to be, we can call it lazy, but it's not really that.

It's like, you know, when there, when there feels like no point, it's just like, What's the point? And again, I was there. And so moving beyond that to say, okay, how can I access more strength today? How can I just, what can I do that will help me feel strong? And by the way, that might be working out. You know, if you're somebody who is able to work out, you might work out and it might help you to feel feelings of strength.

Which could be great because when you repeatedly access certain emotions, you really start to, to amplify them. You start to get them in more and more and it can empower you. And of course, coming back to the feeling of strength, it can also help to decrease fear. Part of the reason I'm also emphasizing this right now is if you think about our volunteer, uh, Noelle from two episodes ago, not the last episode, but the one before, if you think about her, she was able to release her, she did dystonia.

And level 10, cringing, and she got it down to a level three. And also there was some fear, so we stopped there, and she did fantastic at getting it there. And of course, dissolving that fear will be key for healing all of the way. Now, the same is true for our volunteer, uh, coming up next week. And so there's this feeling of fear that is keeping her stuck, as you'll see coming up.

And so that's the reason I wanted to highlight this is just because getting back your strength can be a key part of healing. And so food for thought, I want to invite you to just look at this in your life, any ways you can start bringing in more and more feelings of strength. And getting used to that feeling in your life because what can happen is this, is it's like the more you bring in the feelings of strength in whatever way in your life, what can happen is it's just, it just becomes part of you.

And then more and more of the best of you shows up every day. So this may seem like a very small insight, but it's really actually very profound and very simple, but powerful. And again, this was something that I did in my own life that was key. And so that's the insight that I want to invite you to look at on today's quick IQ episode.
