If you're familiar with my work and my own “miraculous” healing recovery, then you know that I'm all about positivity and mindset! BUT, that does not mean you will want to avoid important information. So, while it is true that our minds are powerful and we need to stay in the positive. It’s also true that knowledge is power and the right knowledge could help save you or your loved one’s life.

For that reason, I want to share with you some research that everyone needs to know. Then, of course, we list a few positive things to help get back to the positive because, frankly, I want to be energetically responsible and don’t want to leave you with a negative feeling either.

Basically, you do not want to be afraid, but you do want to be knowledgeable!

That said, here are the topmost important things you will want to know if you or your loved one does get COVID 19:

#1. There are a lot of people with COVID who have mild symptoms and even start to feel better and then they take a sudden turn for the worse! It is common for these people to be hospitalized. This is part of the problem with COVID-19. It’s sneaky.

I have placed the research documentation at the bottom of this page if you would like to read more about this. But, in short, what you need to know here is simply this:  if you have COVID-19 and you start to feel better, don’t stop taking extra care of your health. Instead, keep going, and make sure to do things like staying hydrated, drinking hot water, tea, soup, or anything that can help reduce mucus is great. And of course, make sure to get your energy and mindset in the right place to heal! Make sure to follow through on everything you can until you get a test confirming that the COVID-19 is gone!  So, I don’t want to scare you, but I do want to warn you ahead of time. COVID-19 can attack the lungs and it fills them with mucus. In severe instances, a ventilator is required to help you breathe. That said, it would be great if you could make a point to take extra care of yourself and avoid a potential trip to the hospital …or worse.

By the way, if you are someone who holds the belief that, once you get COVID-19 that you cannot get it again, that is not fully true, unfortunately.  In fact, about 5-10% of the people in Wuhan, China who were infected and recovered (tested negative), are now showing they are reinfected again. Some have gotten sick again, others have not- they are simply carriers. So, as an added step, it would be great to just keep your immune system boosted, stay well hydrated and make any changes needed with your mindset!

#2. Don't take ibuprofen/Advil.  You may have heard rumors of this one floating around because the information attached to this “rumor” is quite dire. I have heard recordings from doctors on the “front lines”, working in hospitals who have gone so far as to state that the people who are dying are the ones who have taken Ibuprofen/Advil. So, that’s the opinion of some doctors and if you know me well, you know that I like to make sure that I can support everything with facts or proven research. In this case, I cannot because it is all so new. However, what I can say is that researchers have determined that, based on the way ibuprofen/Advil works in the body, it does make logical sense that it could create some major problems because Ibuprofen is a RASS antagonist and increases ACE2. In very simple terms, taking Ibuprofen is kind of like opening the door (or several doors) for coronavirus to come in even more. Currently, the FDA and the WHO (World Health Organization) are still looking into this “rumor”/research, so it is too early to be certain if this is true. However, given the way the drug works and the personal accounts from some doctors, it’s best to avoid Ibuprofen and Advil as opposed to finding out the hard way.

#3. If you think you have COVID, get tested! Right now the county with the lowest death rate from the coronavirus is Germany. Why? Experts attribute their unusually low rate of death to early testing. Germany has tested a large percentage of their population. And, they have done so well in handling COVID-19 (so far), that they have even been able to help Italy by taking some patients! (Wow! Bravo Germany!) Unfortunately, as crazy as it sounds, many people in the US are still having a hard time getting tested. Hopefully, this will change soon and the US will catch up to other countries!

If you’re in LA, you can go to this site to schedule testing. (FYI: If you go to the site in the afternoon, there is a high probability that all of the testing times will be taken. For that reason, it’s best to visit this site first thing in the morning, when there are time slots available.) If you are not in LA or the surrounding areas I recommend you check your County website.

#4.  Right now is not the time to get your immune system cells drunk or buzzed. They don’t function well. Ha. Ok… being a little playful here, but the last thing you want to do is start drinking daily.  I do understand that a lot of people are off work, bored, and also for many they are experiencing at least waves of doom and gloom or fear. And, as crazy as it sounds, many people are turning to drugs and alcohol as a way of coping. I understand that to many people, this is going to sound totally uncool right now but I do want to remind you that years of research has shown that people who frequently drink alcohol have a decreased immune system and are more susceptible to things like colds and pneumonia. Eek!  So, if you are someone who does drinks, I don’t want to make you feel bad for doing so… but, how about saving the alcohol for celebrating after we make it through the storm. Now just isn’t the time to drink.

Further, I have worked with people for a wide variety of issues including alcoholism. Some of the people with alcohol addictions who have the hardest time quitting drinking are the ones who use it as a coping method. In many cases, it’s their only coping method. They have not learned another way to cope. Unfortunately drinking to cope right now can ingrain that into your mind. Then after this is all over (this will pass) you'll be battling an alcohol addiction on top of everything else. That won't be fun!  ( If you are someone who is needing support quitting alcohol and need help, be sure to please reach out to your doctor.)

In short, drinking a ton of alcohol is the last thing you will want to do right now. Instead, the best thing you can do for coping and for your immune system is to get good at using your mind! It can help with everything you want, literally.

By working with your mind you can boost your immune system. (And, if you listened to the latest episode of my podcast, then you also heard me coach a  woman who HAS COVID-19.  I was able to help her use her mind to heal her body.)

And by the way, if that sounds completely absurd to you, I totally understand! When I started working with my mind for healing, I thought it was ridiculous. Especially considering that I had a physical accident. But, we know that the placebo has proven that our minds do “somehow” have a “magic” ability to heal.

That said, knowing that your mindset is important, I don’t want to leave your mind feeling negative.

So, that said, it would be good to remind your mind of two things: #1: that your mind is powerful.  #2: remind your body that you don’t have to get sick!   🙂
