Hello and welcome. It is so wonderful to connect with you. I have to say I love today's episode for so many reasons, which you'll see why as we dive in, but I got to tell you, it is It is really going to touch the heart and minds of many people in so many different ways. And I just, I love that. And I just love our volunteer.

And I know you've heard me say if you've been listening to past episodes that we get the most amazing volunteers and I'm sure you agree. And, every single one of them, I just adore, and sometimes people will ask me, you know, which one is your favorite volunteer or episode, and it, to me, it's like that feeling if somebody asks you to pick your favorite song, and to me, I love music so much that I could not possibly pick just one favorite song, and similarly, every single episode, and each It has this special place in my heart.

I just love them. And today's volunteer, I just want to hug her and high five her at the same time. I mean, she's just, she's so amazing, and she's so insightful, and the message is so powerful and so on point. for so many people and across several generations. And the reason I say that is because it's just a really a powerful message on so many levels and her self awareness and insight and the way she's able to articulate herself.

I mean, just beautiful. And so that said, let's go ahead and dive in to today's session with beautiful Kyla. Here we go.

Hello, Kyla. Hi. Hi, it is wonderful to connect with you. You too. Thank you. What can I help you with today? Um, I have extreme panic disorder that like consumes my entire life So I was hoping you could teach me some tricks to cope with that Okay, so teach you some tricks to cope with it. And and how long have you been dealing with it for?

Um, about over a year a little over a year Okay. And, uh, bingo. Alright. And, uh, bingo. Little over a year. Bingo. Alright. And, uh, and by the way, um, bingo. If I ask you how old you are, how old are you? I'm 18. Okay. So, uh, bingo. Alright. So, I'm going to ask you to breathe. And first and foremost, can I say how wonderful it is that you're On the journey of personal empowerment at a young age, I think it's awesome.

Thank you. Absolutely. You're amazing. You're amazing. And, uh, I love that. I love that. I love that. All right. So one thing that you said to me stood out already when you said some, some, learn some tricks to cope with it. Right? Yes. So I have a question. Would you like to cope with it or would you like to transform it and change it?

Transform it. Okay, great. So let's, let's operate from that mindset of looking at transforming it and getting rid of it. Right? Yes. Okay. Because, when you stop and think about it, do you speak Mandarin? No. No. But if you trained your brain and you really, really studied, could you learn Mandarin? Of course. Of course, right?

If it meant having an incredible life, and a much happier, better, healthier life, If you were going to study Mandarin or German or whatever, learn a different language, would you make a point to do that? Yes. Totally, right? Absolutely. So, I think it's just awesome that you're young, and you're here, and you're learning how to use your mind, and you're incredible.

And, uh, yeah, let's dive in, right? Yes. Yes. So, uh, bingo. So if I ask you right now what your level of English is, Anxiety or panic. What word would you use? Um, I would say right now it's pretty like generalized anxiety rather than panic. So it's at like probably a four. Bingo. Bingo. Gotcha. I feel ya. Alright.

So, um, bingo. Alright. So give me just one second. Bingo. Alright, so I'm going to ask you to close your eyes for a moment. Okay. And I'm going to ask you to breathe, and I'm going to ask you to notice how much can you find the feeling, a feeling like a shark is going to bite you in the ass today.

Zero to ten, how much can you find that feeling? Um, about a five. And if I ask you, so you think, feel like that's gonna happen today? Anything can happen. Bingo. Okay? Anything can happen. Okay? Now, if I ask you, how much that feeling is serving you, that anything could happen? Zero. Zero. And, by the way, if I ask you

Alright, so I want to go ahead and pause it just for a quick moment for two really quick comments. You know, first and foremost, even if you're not suffering from panic, you'll find some really powerful insights. on today's episode to just get your mind focused and also clear some negativity from your energy.

So that will be one thing. And the second thing is that I do want to warn you that I become a little bit ridiculous or really playful with some of the topics that are coming up just because you will want to keep in mind that she has had extreme panic disorder. So then if we talk about things in too serious of a manner.

then it won't be helpful for her. And so there's kind of things that we put a spin on that make them a bit ridiculous in a way. And so as we come up to those topics, what you'll want to do is kind of take them in, in a ridiculous way for yourself, just kind of, uh, be willing to see things in a different way and be playful with the topic so it can feel lighter for you.

as well. And you'll see what I mean coming up. You know, there's just a playfulness about it as we're looking at things. in a different way, in a more expanded way, really just looking at expanding consciousness on this topic to be able to create that shift. So you'll see what I mean coming up. So that said, let's go ahead and dive back in with beautiful Kyla.

Here we go.

If I ask you how much you feel like The world is gonna end. That one's like a 7. 7, 8, 9, 12. Your dog agrees. Yeah. Someone asked you to breathe. Your dog has big feelings about it. And And what's your dog's name? King. I have a king and prince. Oh, sweet. I like that. I like that. And, um, bingo. Alright, so I'm going to ask you to breathe.

And out of curiosity, what if the world wasn't going to end?

I don't know. What if the world wasn't going to end at all?

Hmm. How would you feel right now if you knew the world wasn't going to end right now? Um, I'd feel pretty much, I think I would actually feel reassured with the definite. Mm hmm. So I'm going to ask you to breathe. And I want you to just for a moment take that in. Okay, now what I want you to think about for a moment.

Did you ever study like the Cold War? In, uh, in school? Um, I don't think so. Okay. Did you ever hear about Y2K where everybody was like, Oh, it's the year 2000, the world's gonna end. Did you hear about that? Yes. Yes. Now, how ridiculous is it that it's gonna turn to the year 2000 and the world's gonna end?

Extremely. Why is all of a sudden the world gonna end in the year 2000? Like, oh, and did you also hear about the Mayan calendar? What was it, like 2012, I believe? That the world was gonna end again. Yes, I did. Okay, so what you'll start noticing in humans is that there's always some chicken little story. The world's gonna end because of this, or it's gonna end because of COVID, or it's gonna end because of that.

And then after a while, you have to start going, Hey, I'm onto this. Yes, there's a certain percentage of people who would like to live in fear. But if you stop buying into, like, that whole thing, you start to realize that You might as well just start creating your life because imagine, did you hear, by the way, there was a bunch of people that even got to, like, there were cults that got together of people that actually like committed suicide and killed, yes.

Well, the world was going to end and they believed it. And so they might like, there was all kinds of crazy stuff going on.

All right. So I want to go ahead and pause it just for a quick moment to really unpack this a bit because I want to be sensitive to all sides of the matter. You know, when you stop and think about it, and you look at unfortunate mass suicides where people convinced others, you know, certain leaders convinced others that suicide The world was going to end, or even if you think about, you know, Heaven's Gate is a well known mass suicide where a bunch of people outside of San Diego killed themselves.

It's about 20 something years ago now. Uh, because they felt like a spaceship was going to come get them. And, of course, this is sad, and I have absolute compassion. For the people who were convinced that the world was going to end and a spaceship was going to come get them and, and, you know, the families and the lives that it touched.

So I have absolute compassion and I want to be super clear on that instance and also many other situations. So I know that communities and lives have been touched. Things like this that have happened and also I know that it's important to address this topic in the now also because So many people are having this feeling of, you know, Chicken Little, so to speak, like the world is going to come to an end.

And they have that feeling, for one reason or another, whether it has to do with COVID or climate change or bad people or whatever it is. There's always been this looming tone somewhere in the world. And what I am going to go ahead and do is I'm going to put a link in the show notes of like the top. end of the world predictions.

And so I'll leave an article that you can check out at the end of this podcast. And some of the predictions are even in the year, like 500 or the 1600s or 1800s, you know, they just go way back. And we're going to unpack that a bit more. So you can again, change your consciousness on this because When you start to look at how many times the world was going to end, you can stop believing it and getting your energy entangled in it and go on with your life.

Just because I can't tell you how many times I've had people who have had that belief. And what's happened is there'll be 70 years old and I've heard them say, you know, I never thought I would even live this long. If I knew that I was going to live this long, I would have done my life differently and I would have done X, Y, Z because they had that belief that they weren't going to make it for one reason or another.

And again, there are so many reasons. So I know for a lot of people who are going through the world today, They'll think and feel to themselves, no, but it's really going to happen this time, and it's really going to happen this time, or something else. It's like that underlying pattern, that underlying feeling is always present in our culture in one way or another.

I mean, just going through my own lifetime, I can see how many times that has come up, and then you kind of just realize that you can't get your energy back. all entangled in that, and instead be willing to start looking at it from a different way. And again, I want to address the laughing piece. Just, you know, there have been patterns that I had in my past where when I was working with my mind, I'm looking at it and I just have to laugh at the idea and laugh at myself and laugh at whatever belief was happening in the past to just help let it go.

Let it go. And, you know, even if you've been listening to past episodes where something might come up for somebody and we kind of laugh about it and always say, you know, it's not about laughing to avoid it. It's about just having a lightness in being willing to see things in a different way and to feel in a different way.

and to let the body let go of some of that stress and panic and anxiety and all of that. So I just wanted to note that and both speak to this topic with absolute compassion and also the ability to also allow people who are having panic and are having an underlying subconscious stress to let this go.

And on that note, I do want to keep in mind that so many of our youth today are experiencing this in one way or another, especially with the whole climate change conversation. You know, there are literally people high school age that don't feel like life is worth living because there's no future and why go to college or why build a future just live in the now because there is no future and you know more and more depression and we really need to be careful about this topic and that's why you know coming up we'll mention chicken little syndrome and I'm going to unpack that a bit more but coming up we'll talk even more about some simple ways to start shifting this and also just kind of letting it go you Even more.

So that said, let's go ahead and dive back in with Kyla.

Like, I mean, when you stop and think about it for a moment, it's like, wait a second, or even with COVID. Okay. So you've probably heard about the Spanish flu. Yes. Okay. Now imagine if everybody said the world's going to end then. What would you have told them? No, it's not. No, it's not. No, it's not. The reason I asked about the Cold War, like, all the time people are like, Oh my god, and the world's gonna end, and oh my god, the world's gonna end, and oh, around 9 11, the world was gonna end.

Like, we're all doomed, blah, blah, blah, all this stuff, right? So, Are you sure it's actually going to happen this time, and not the end of the Mayan calendar, or the Y2K, or the Spanish flu, now there's the COVID, there's blah blah blah, like, are you sure? No, never. Yeah, because if you think about it, Y2K, all of that stuff, was over 20 years ago now.

Which means you wouldn't have even been born if your parents would have been like, Oh my God, the world's going to end. And when I say there's always a chicken little story, did you ever hear the story about chicken little, the sky is falling, the sky is falling? Did you ever hear that? I didn't think so.

So it's like an old. thing where it's like oh chicken little the sky is falling the sky is what like people always believing like something's going to happen

all right so let's go ahead and pause it just for a quick moment i just want to take a moment to kind of unpack chicken little for a moment and just for anybody who may not have heard heard of Chicken Little? First and foremost, there is actually something called Chicken Little Syndrome, which is the belief of some apocalyptic thing gonna happen, you know, like the world is ending.

Now, if you haven't heard of this before, I am also going to leave a few links in the description. to this in the show notes, so you can check it out at the end. But basically what Chicken Little itself is, is also like a folk tale or a fable that even I think the first version of it was released back in the early 1800s.

And so point being on this note is again, if this is a topic that has been going on in your subconscious mind at some level, you will want to create this reframe from your mind and really expanding your consciousness to go, wait a second, this story keeps going on. And it's been going on in the 1800s and even in the five hundreds and even like there's always something.

And you kind of start to catch on to the bigger picture that a lot of people, unfortunately do get sucked into it to some degree. Or another, and you know, I know previously we were talking about mass suicides and stuff like that, and you know, a lot of people aren't sucked in at that level, of course, but For a lot of people, there is, unfortunately, an underlying, subconscious what if, doom and gloom that is running in the subconscious mind that a lot of people don't realize is there.

And so, if you have that there, you'll, of course, want to shift it. Now, also, you know, I just mentioned previously that With climate change and all the fear around that, you know, I know for a lot of people, a lot of adults, that there is that underlying feeling, is the world gonna end? That is going on. And for kids, for high school, for middle school, I have literally seen kids in middle school or even elementary school who've been suffering from anxiety, from so much of this messaging about climate change.

And so if you have kids, this is definitely something that you're going to want to notice if it's there, because a lot of parents don't realize That this is a concern that's going on in the back of their kids minds, not only that with climate change, but also with COVID, just like we're seeing here, there's so much uncertainty, and it is really impacting our youth of today in a major way, and of course, a lot of people in general, their feeling of, of safety in life has been shaken, and a lot of people don't necessarily even consciously realize it, Or, don't realize they can change it, you know, just feel stuck or just kind of ignoring it and putting it to the side and just trying to move forward, not realizing that this underlying subconscious feeling does impact their happiness and their stress levels and their energy and can impact their health and all of that.

at a subconscious level. And so if this is you and you've been burying it, you'll want to make sure to address it as well. And so we'll talk about some simple exercises coming up to do that, but let's go ahead and dive back in to our session right now with Kyla. Here we go.

So I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe. And when you start to look at it through this lens of how a bunch of people get so sucked in to the end of the Earth, and they start to believe it, are you sure you want to be sucked into one of those stories? No, not at all. Not at all. So I'm gonna ask you to breathe.

It's the end of the Mayan calendar. Uh oh. What's gonna happen? I think we're gonna be okay. So I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe,

and When you stop and think about it, if you live the next, like, okay. So if your parents or people have lived life, like it was really going to end in the year 2000, and they really thought that the world was going to end Y2K. And they lived like that. And they had all this panic and all this anxiety and all these things.

And then we're like, hey, yeah, mm hmm. Okay, here we are over 20 years later. Where, what happened with that? How you doing with that?

Okay, someone asked you to breathe. And I'm going to ask you, are you sure the world's going to end? No. No. So I'm going to ask you to breathe, and are you sure a shark could bite you in the ass today? Because I don't know that anything could happen. I think you're fine. No, I'm not sure of that. Right? Now, I'm not saying go jump on a boat and hang your, hang yourself over the edge and see what happens.

But,

and I'm going to ask you to breathe. And even then you'd probably be absolutely fine, right? Right. Right. So I'm going to ask you to breathe.

What if everything's okay?

I'm going to ask you to breathe and I'm going to ask you to picture yourself walking around in your 40s, looking beautiful and fabulous and gorgeous and happy and a smile on your face and feeling like you're living life to its fullest and that you're loving life, that you've actually, you're living the life that you want and that everything's actually okay.

Okay. Okay. That everything's wonderful, that you are just this beautiful woman, and you feel confident, you feel safe in life, and life is going great, and I'm gonna ask you to breathe, and take that in. And even seeing yourself walking around 60, looking freaking fabulous, may I add, walking around, feeling young, youthful, fabulous, great fit, fabulous.

Looking gorgeous, feeling gorgeous, feeling happy and healthy. And I'm going to ask you to breathe.

And I'm going to ask you to take that in. Or I Y2K people, and you're like, oh my god, world's going to end, world's going to end, world's going to end. And how you would be 20 years from now, as the world hasn't ended, and you're just having all this panic. Ha ha ha. Ah. I'm going to ask you to breathe. I'm gonna ask you.

Now, I know we're, we're, we're being playful and whatnot, and, and, but think about it. There were plenty of people who actually thought the world was gonna end, who was in, were in panic. What do you think about that? I think that's terrifying for them. It is, right? Yeah, I think that's terrible. Mm hmm. So I'm gonna ask you to breathe.

Bingo. And by the way, if you even look up online, you can look up like, even, there was like all kinds of newspaper articles about like, okay, people are worried about mask suicides on New Year's Eve and all these, like there was all of these things. There was so much watch. for suicide and, uh, what was it?

Bingo. If you were alive during that time and you were in all of that anxiety and that panic that the world was going to end, or the world was going to end with the Mayan calendar or something like that, what advice would you have given yourself then?

Um, I think I would tell myself that everything's going to be okay. You know, if something happens to me, it's going to be me and my family. Okay. And, uh, okay. And if You had, like, a ton of fear that Y2K was gonna be the end of the Earth and the end of the world and all of that. Now, looking back in hindsight, when you see that everything's okay.

Huh. I would tell myself to relax and go with the flow and not worry about things you can't control. Okay, so that's a step in the right direction. Now watch this. Now, in my injury, have you, you've heard of my story of my injury and all of that, I assume? Okay, so if everybody says I'm not gonna get better, and I believe what everybody else says, where do you think I would be today?

In a wheelchair. Okay, right, wheelchair, walker, cane, mess, pain, all of that, right? Yeah. Okay, so I didn't go that route, right? I could have been in panic. I could have been in fear. I could have been all that and instead I was like, all right, I want to live a full life, right? I want to do it differently. So if I ask you, are you willing to do life differently?

Are you also willing to decide to live life to its fullest, to Do exactly that. What's that? 1, 000%. What's that? 1, 000%. I'm ready. 1, 000%. I love that. So I'm gonna ask you to breathe, and I'm gonna ask you, how much? 1, 000. 1, 000. 1, 000%. So I'm gonna ask you to breathe, and I'm gonna ask you to take in that mindset, that mindset, that determination, that mindset, that determination.

1, 000%. living life to its fullest. All

right. So I want to go ahead and actually pause the session right here. And first and foremost, I would say how much I just love and adore this young woman, but I have no words. I mean, she's just great and beautiful and articulate and smart and great self awareness, great sense of humor, just a beautiful young woman.

And this message that's coming up is just divine timing from the universe that's really wanting to bring in this messaging and this awareness. And again, for so many generations, I mean, this really is a very important message at this time. So for that reason, I actually want to go ahead and pause the session right here for just a moment.

Also, just because moving forward on the session in the next part, it does get a little bit counterintuitive. So it's a little tricky on the next part, but I want to give everybody a moment to really go ahead and digest this just because, again, at a subconscious level, I know that this is impacting a lot of people to different degrees.

I mean, some people might only have this going on at a level 2 and they've shoved it in their subconscious mind and they're thinking that it's not affecting them at all, which, of course, any degree is. But, You know, shoving it aside. Other people, they know that it's affecting them. 9, 10. You know, it's very much in their being.

And so, for that reason, I want to invite you to really take this information in and just kind of two simple exercises you could do is, number one, again, you can go to the show notes and look at some of the chicken little stories, so to speak, and I've left a few different links there for you to look at, because Part of what's helpful is to be able to look at all of these stories through history and say, wait a second here, I'm not going to fall for this one again.

People have been falling for that whole story of it's the end of the world or the end of the world is coming. For years, and I mean even just again, several times during my lifetime even, you know, there's been different stories that I've seen of people feeling like it's the end of the world and after a little bit you start to just let your nervous system know, oh, that's right.

This is just what happens and so I would encourage you to just look at them or even just take five minutes or ten minutes after this episode and really just reinforce it into your mind. Now, the second thing that I would recommend is exactly what I had her do, which is where you were picturing your older self years from now.

Now, for her, I asked her to picture herself looking 60 and fabulous, and if you are 60, then picture yourself 80. and looking fabulous, or 90 and looking fabulous. And some people, by the way, as soon as I say 90 and looking fabulous, their mind is like, that's not really possible. So if that's you, I will also leave a link in the show notes for a person, I believe she's around 90 years old, and it says in the article and all of that, who does that.

And so you want to remember that you don't want to think like everybody else. And that's the other piece that you'll want to make sure to take in. You know, if you think about it, I used my example of my story and my injury where I was told there was nothing the doctors could do for me and they don't expect me to get better and yada, yada, yada.

And I didn't believe in that either, and thank God, because My life would have stayed stuck there if I had believed in it. So, make sure to own your own vision of your future and own your mindset. And, by the way, if you are somebody on that note of climate change, who's saying, Brandy, you don't understand, there really is going to be no world, and yada yada yada, and you've got that really deep inside of your mind, another thing that you could do to kind of help yourself reframe this is You could get that vision of seeing yourself 90 years old or 60 years old or 80 years old or fabulous and whatever that picture is and get that into your mind and then Remind yourself that positive wonderful things can happen, too For example, let's say in a couple years from now, there's an amazing technology that helps with everything going on with climate change and everything works out beautifully.

Or let's say that Elon Musk is able to get life on another planet and we start a whole nother planet and we move people to that planet. Or that we all figure out how to teleport and we teleport ourselves somewhere else or whatever you want to tell yourself. But really, when you stop and look at it, point being is that this whole thing about the world's going to end, the world's going to end for one reason or another.

I mean, again, you can look at it. It's thousands and thousands of years old, and there's always a different story that, of course, feels relevant for the time. So that feels relevant for the time. But maybe when you stop and think about it, everybody just starts becoming more and more conscious of our planet.

And of course, our planet just continues to take care of itself and everything works out just fine. And the universe actually handles that. And we're all actually just going to be fine, you know, and so point being, again, you just don't need to figure it all out. But what you can see when you really, really look at the facts is that there's always some type of story that.

feels very, very real at the time and we're all going to be okay. And so if this has been going on in your subconscious mind and you know, a lot of people, even if it's there, they think, Oh, it's not impacting me or it's not impacting my happiness. But believe it or not, again, everything in your subconscious mind, Whether you consciously realize it or not, and not only that, but there are always, again, room for answers when you're open to them.

You know, if you had told me in going through my injury that I would somehow heal with my mind, I probably would have thought you were on drugs or crazy. You know, I mean, really, I had a physical accident with a physical injury. How was my mind possibly going to heal me? And I remember thinking that now, of course, that was about 20 years ago now, but point being is that you just don't want to be somebody who's picturing that the world is going to end because you might end up creating that for you, or you won't live life to its fullest instead.

Picture that life continues on. It will. Remember to remember to remind yourself that the end of the world story has been going on literally thousands of years in so many different ways that you just won't want to take part in any of those beliefs, but instead keeping your mind focused on having a happy, wonderful, loving, and fulfilling life.

And, on that note, I'm going to ask you to please do make sure to share this episode. You know, share it with an 18 year old or share it with a friend who may have an 18 year old or have kids that they can really help make sure that this story and mindset isn't part of their mindset that then goes to their kids and is in their household, creating depression and anxiety and illness and everything else and not having things to look forward to.

And, of course, I love you. on the opposite, making sure that they do have that positive mind, and they're aware that we are incredible beings, and you know, the more empowered and happy and healthy that every person is in our world, the better it is for all of us, and the better it is for you. is for the collective energy of the planet also.
