Hello and welcome. It is so wonderful to connect with you. I just love that you are here continuing to expand your mind, your energy, your consciousness, your healing. I love it. And I love today's episode and you know, today's volunteer, he's just He's so sweet, he's just precious and so insightful and the content that comes forth from the episode is very powerful.

I just, he has such a great self awareness and just great insight that it allows us to go in a really profound way. Going deep and that's where it ends up going and you'll notice by the way He actually says wow, this went deep really quickly and it went somewhere that I didn't expect it to go You know and that's what can happen is a lot of times That is the very thing that the very thing that can be impacting your health and your life in general It's literally the last thing that you might think that it would be.

And this episode really highlights that as well as there's just a few things that I really love about this episode. It brings in a deeper level of understanding of the mind and mind programming and how the mind works and why the mind does what it does. And so there's just some really key, powerful insights.

And to me, that's part of the most important thing about getting. is because, you know, likely if you're here, you've heard our thoughts, help create our lives. You know, if you're here, you've heard the power of the mind to heal. And the biggest thing that a lot of people are not understanding is how the mind works.

And so, Um, even beyond knowing that it's really about understanding the mind programming. I mean, even on my own injury, once I got past that initial concept and then the placebo and understanding the mind, you know, it took years to figure out how to do that and how to make it work. And it's because I really needed to understand the mind and the complexities of it.

You know, it's, it's counterintuitive as you'll see. As we dive into this episode, and I can tell you that, you know, all of the time I'll see people who have been on the healing journey for 40 plus years and still have not gotten results. You know, typically their life is in a worse place. They have more health issues.

They're more alone. They're, you know, it's, it's gone backwards in a lot of ways. And part of the reason that is, is because of understanding how the mind works or, you know, really not understanding how the mind works to really reprogram it. And so that is one of the things that you'll see from today's episode, as you start to see more and more of the layers and some of the complexity.

So I love that. And again, I just love our volunteer. He is so sweet. If you recall, his name is Dave and Rob. We started working with him on last week's volunteer episode where we had started talking about he had some issues with sleeping and there was a lot of fear going on underneath, which had initially started as a child with, you know, fearful child energy.

But then as he grew into a man, it became like an alert, got to stay on defense, you know, kind of more of a protection to that fear. So a different way of responding with it, but that underlying fear that something bad would happen. while he was sleeping. And then we started to look at the awareness that there was an underlying pattern of shame going on connected to his sexuality.

And so that's where we left off was just this pattern of shame. And as you'll see, I mean, the pattern of shame started when he was two years old. And so it's just, it's a pattern that's run in his life. And as we started to talk about on the last episode is that shame can actually create more and more problems in a different way than you may consciously realize in your mind.

And so on that note, let's go ahead and dive back into the session with our beautiful volunteer. Dave, here we go.

So interestingly, okay, so kind of just to explain as far as emotions And this is I'm gonna go to kind of go left field for a moment or which what will seem like left field But all of the time when it comes to again left field off topic seemingly But all the time people will have a feeling of worrying right and you know And then somebody will say of course just don't worry just think positive But a lot of times when I see somebody who's stuck in a pattern of worry What happens is there's a part of them that feels like they deserve punishment.

And so their brain is thinking about every negative way that they could possibly be punished in life because they feel as though they deserve punishment. Does that make sense? Oh, you know me. It's like, you know, me, I'm, I'm writing notes down to myself and I'm like, check, check, check. Um, yeah, yeah. I think that that, that is what happens in my brain.

As I'm going, laying down on the pillow, it's all the horrible things I might've done that day. It's like a checklist and it's, it's awful. It's horrible because I'm a pretty good guy, but I'll focus on every negative thing that might've happened over the course of the day, Exactly. So 100 percent accurate.

All right. So let's go ahead and pause it just for a quick moment. You know, first and foremost, I have to say, I just love this guy. I mean, his self awareness and self honesty. And I mean, he's just precious his heart, his energy. He's just a beautiful, beautiful being. So I love him and notice how his mind is just berating him.

Like you say, you know, he'll focus on every single thing that, He's done wrong or this, that, the other. And it's not that he's necessarily doing it. And that's the insight that I want to share with you right now is that. Whatever our minds do, programmed to do. And so if you want your mind to do something differently, instead of fighting it, or even feeling like a victim to it, or feeling like it's out of control, or, you know, being frustrated with it, what you'll want to do is reprogram it.

Now, the truth of it is, is that there are some complexities. I mean, notice this for a moment, how we started talking about the feeling of shame. That's what we were talking about on the last episode, that he has had this pattern of shame for a long period of time. And of course, we'll go back into talking about that pattern in just a minute with Dave.

But my point is, is that as I start describing what's happening, like, Oh, your mind does this and this and this, you know, your mind is always beating yourself up and focusing on every bad and every negative thing. Notice he, he sees exactly that. So in other words, my point here, That's the mind programming.

It's not always logical. And so in his case, it's about understanding why his brain is doing what it's doing. And then of course, reprogramming his brain. So it starts working in a different way. And so that's what you want to notice. And by the way, I can tell you, you know, kind of an example, might be feel completely left field, but one person that I had worked with, he grew up with this feeling of like, that it was good to be crazy.

You know, people would tell him as a little kid, Oh, you're so crazy. Like, Oh, you're just a little crazy one. And as a result, his mind linked it up at a very young age, that being crazy, Was a good thing was how he got love and attention and people acknowledged him for it. And so he grew up literally Diagnosed as being clinically crazy I mean in and out of mental hospitals and different things like that and I began to work with him and of course Help him to shift this way of thinking and as soon as I did, I mean, now he leads a very wonderful life where he's happy.

He's not on any medication for the first time in 20 plus years. I mean, and he's been this way for years now. I mean, and running his own business and functioning like a normal human being in a beautiful, beautiful way and, and just happy and fabulous and friends and family. I mean, it's just a whole different life because of understanding how the brain works and then Genuinely reprogramming it and so what you want to note from this part is that first and foremost that Everything your brain does it does for some reason and secondly that it is a lot different Than people think that it is and so you'll really want to understand your own mind and understand why it's doing what it's doing because As you can see here, it's counterintuitive to what's really going on, but when you get that and you understand that, it's life changing.

You know, everything becomes easier and that's the reason why you really want to understand your own mind and really being able to check in and, and understand in a different way because it's not that the brain is necessarily illogical, it has a different type of logic. So notice. I knew what his brain was doing and I knew why it was doing it because it just has its own type of logic and that's what you'll want to start to understand in your own mind.

And so on that note, let's go ahead and dive back in with Dave. Here we go.

Exactly. And when I look at this pattern of deep shame and like, you're bad, it started at age two, so clearly you must be a bad person. Yeah. Your two year old has decided that. Yeah. What was decided for my two year old. Food for thought on that. Um, are you, let's do this. All right. Let's go this way. Bingo.

If I ask you, are you somebody who believes in past lives or no? Yes, I do. Okay. Okay, so I would agree with you and I would also say that it's not necessarily that it was decided for your two year old, but I would say your last self came in with this, right? So the nice thing is, is clearing it up in this lifetime will be amazing, right?

Amen, yes, uh, 100 percent. I don't want to bring it into my next one. Absolutely, absolutely. And so, um, bingo. All right, so I'm going to ask you to breathe and give me one second. Okay, so I'm going to say, I was going to say this won't make sense, but you're so with it that you're probably going to get it. Um, but there is a feeling of feeling as though you're a good person.

If you point out that you're a bad person. Oh, wow. But the complexity. Yeah. Yeah. Are you familiar? Yes. You're familiar with that, right? Can you see it? Yeah. Yeah. Yes. Great. Great. And so I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe and I'm going to ask you to close your eyes. Okay. And what if you're a good person because you're a good person?

All right, so let's go ahead and pause it just for a really quick moment. You know, again, I love the insights that are coming up. Now, as I just said to him, you know, what if you're a good person just because you are a good person? And I want to unpack this a bit more. Now, first and foremost, when I check into his beingness and who he is, He's a wonderful, beautiful, beautiful person.

He is a good person. Now, to unpack this even more, what can happen is that we get certain things linked up in our subconscious minds that say that If we do X, Y, Z, then we should feel like a good person, you know, kind of like if you said that, okay, well, a scientist wears a white coat, or if you said a cowboy wears cowboy boots.

So we get certain things linked up in the mind that are connected. Now, what happens is he loves to be a good person. So his mind linked up that, okay, well, to be a good person, all you have to do is think about every single thing that you did wrong. And then you purposely admit to yourself or ask for forgiveness or point all of those out every day.

That's what makes you a good person. So his brain will want to keep creating those things. And then he'll have things to then acknowledge. And I know it's a bit complex, and he mentioned that as well. And so I love that He sees this, and I love the awareness, and let me explain in another way. Another scenario that I've seen very often is I'll see somebody who has a victim experience.

Somebody does something bad to them, and as a result, the emotions that they experience is that it means that they're the good person. And I've seen this a lot, and you know, if you imagine a four year old or a five year old, and maybe they have an argument, you know, four year old, five year old, they get in a little fight, or scuff, or whatever.

And they weren't the one that started it. You know, he started it. She started it. Whoever else started it, then that person gets in trouble. And then, whoever was the quote unquote good one might get rewards and might be told that they're the good person. And then so what happens is that pattern can continue through your life.

And some people I've worked with who have horrible victim patterns. And it's just because as a kid, They got it linked up in their mind that if they were the victim, it meant they were the good person. And then as an adult, they want to be a good person. And the brain says, how to be a good person? Oh, that's right.

If I'm a victim, then I'm a very good person. And so that link gets connected. Now, while that makes no logical sense, It just gets connected in the brain. So I know, again, it's a bit complex, but when you start to really understand how the brain works and transform it, that's when it becomes life changing, health changing, you know?

So, so there, that's one piece that I wanted to talk about. Now, another piece that was mentioned also had to do with past lives. And he mentioned that about a minute ago, he said, you know, yes, I don't want to carry into my past life. And I want to wait to unpack this a bit more at the end of today's episode because I love what he said, not bringing it into his next lifetime.

And I want to add to that and give some context of some mistakes that people make all of the time, but I don't want to go too far off on a tangent. So let's go ahead and move forward and we'll break that down even more at the end. So that said. Let's go ahead and dive back in with beautiful Dave. Here we go.

So in other words, it's kind of like if somebody said, well, to be a good person, you have to jump up and down 20 times. Well, that makes you a jumping person. Okay. Or if you're, um, you're a person who's, you know, got to, okay, well, to be a good person, then you've got to go wash this or that, then that makes you a person who's washing something.

But to be a good person, you just have to be a good person, right? . Mm-Hmm. . So, if I ask you, are you a good person? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, you, you haven't like, like robbed any old lady's purses lately. I'm assuming . Oh, wow. I wouldn't be able to live with my, I'd punish. I would punish myself so severely . I, I can't be.

It's not even that you would punish yourself so severely. So notice for a moment. It's not even that you you're just such a good person that you would never do that. Correct. And that's exactly part of the thing. Is it if I said The only thing that keeps me from doing something bad is that I would be punished.

How much do I need the threat of punishment in my life? Oh, I don't need the threat of punishment at all. You're just a good person, right? Does that make sense? Yes. Okay, so Great, so I'm going to ask you to breathe, and I'm going to ask you to just simply bring in the awareness that you're a good person, and that the best way to be a good person is just to notice you're a good person.

You don't have to then notice everything you've ever done wrong. You don't have to point out all of your faults you've ever had. Everybody's made a mistake. To be a good person is just to do your best to be a good person. I'm going to ask you to breathe and take that in, and I'm going to ask you just for a moment, what if you're not a bad person?

And I'm going to ask you to breathe, and obviously I'm, I know you know you're not, and I'm just going to say, what if you're not a bad person at all, and you don't actually even deserve any punishment at all? Could you be okay with that? Like, could you actually just be okay with being a great guy? Wow. Let me not go Great.

So I'm going to ask you to bring in that feeling. Go ahead. I'm going to ask you to just bring in that feeling. And how would that feel? How does it feel if you're actually just really a great guy and you just love that about you? It would feel so liberating, so free, so carefree, so living in the moment, joy filled.

Great. And um, Bingo. Bingo. And so what if you're just a great, wonderful, amazing guy who happens to be gay, and that's awesome, and wonderful, and fabulous, and you're just good, and wonderful, and great, and you're a good guy? Yeah. What would be so bad? Right?

Okay. Great. And you are, um, over 18, I assume, right? Very much. Exactly. Especially considering 19 is when you were noticing your sleep patterns. But, so, you're allowed to, you're able to be in any sexual relationship that you want, consenting relationship, so you're not doing anything bad, correct? Right, right.

Great. Can you just take that in for a moment? That you're a good guy, and you're not doing anything wrong? I'm asking you to take in the feeling of that. Just what it feels like, beyond thinking it, because there's a part of you that knows that. But I want you to notice what that feels like, to know that you're a great guy.

I mean, there's definitely some religious programming that comes against that, um, that I'm noticing. I'm like, wow, it's like on the one hand, there's a side of me that's like, yes, total agreement, I get it. And there's a little speck of me that's like, wait a minute, wait a minute, God designed you a certain way.

That, that little crazy little voice, you know? And so there's a little bit of that residue still in there doesn't quite feel free Okay, and um bingo being honest. I I hear you. I hear you i'm with you now Bingo bingo and really quickly. How do you know for sure? God said that there's not supposed to be any gay people.

Yeah, I mean Exactly. Yeah. I mean it's just what was communicated to me my whole life, you know growing up and You In churches and whatnot, you know, and this is a, I didn't really want to go that direction, but I think there's something underneath all this. Um, you're getting deep fast and yeah, it's what I learned growing up.

It's what I absorbed. And there's even still a part of me that wonders, Hmm. Uh, there's a question mark, if you will. Uh, I'm not fully one way or fully another in terms of my perspective on that, but there's definitely a challenge, a question mark.

All right. So let's go ahead and pause the session right here just because there are so many different insights from this episode that I want to break this down even more. You know, first and foremost, I love his self awareness. I love his insight. I just, I love his beingness. He's just beautiful. Notice also what he said right here at the end.

He said, you know, he's been stuck in a place of indecisiveness and it's definitely a challenge for him. And he also said that this is the last place he expected this session to go. And, of course, I didn't expect it to go here either. I'm just following the breadcrumbs, if you will. But, that's exactly the point of it, is that when there's something that's off, that doesn't feel right inside, that can affect us in ways that we don't even realize.

And that is what happens all the time, is I'll see people who will be suppressing things that are bothering them, or trying to avoid the elephant in the room. And they get used to walking around the elephant in the room, instead of really liking it. addressing it. And so that's part of the reason that I wanted to take a moment and pause this session right here, is to look at the feeling of, of those unresolved patterns or unresolved things that haven't been figured out.

And I want to talk about that for a moment and unpack that. And then I also, of course, mentioned that I wanted to talk about past lives and future lives and next lifetimes and all of that. And I want to unpack that a bit more too because there's some really powerful information there. So first and foremost, just kind of picking up where we left off as far as having uncertainty about a belief, you know, where he's got this feeling of this uncertainty with his sexuality and, and things going on and you may or may not have that regarding your sexuality or anything else in life.

And one of the things you'll want to think about is that there are a lot of topics in our world that people are in disagreement about. You know, one side sees things this way and the other side sees things that way. Now, if inside of you, you have that conflict with both, then that can affect your health.

It can affect your life. It can make you feel like you're doing the right thing and also feeling guilty for doing the wrong thing simultaneously, which can impact, as we can see, your health, but also your life, who you become, your level of happiness, or as we can also see from this episode, the level of criticism, of our brains berating ourselves, and pointing out everything we've ever done wrong, or, you know, all kinds of things can get linked up.

And so I want to invite you, if there is something that is bothering you, to really Bye. Look at coming to resolution on that and just looking again at topics that have a lot of controversy around them. A lot of charge on both sides can really impact you a lot more than you realize. So that's number one.

If you do have something I want to invite you to do. to resolve it inside of yourself. It can be health changing, it can be life changing. So just, that's one awareness that I want you to take from this episode. Now, the other thing, kind of radically shifting gears, as far as past lives and future lives, I love what he said, where he said, you know, I don't want to take this into my next life.

Lifetime. Now all of the time I will see people who have been deep into spirituality or metaphysics or law of attraction or quantum physics or any of that for a long period of time and all of the time I'll hear people say things like oh well I think this is my last lifetime like I'm not coming back I think I've graduated beyond this and they say it in a way that You know, like coming back to life would be a demotion.

Like, like somebody put in there, put a bug in their ear that said, Oh, well, it's a hierarchy and did not have to come back. Now there are multiple things that you'll want to take from this. And first and foremost, if we just take a moment, if we look at energy as a whole, you know, if we just take a quick moment and we look at even the law of conservation of energy.

You know, are also known as the first law of thermodynamics. You know, if you've heard before that energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be converted from one form of energy. To another so if we think of you and we think about the awareness that you're also Energy that your energy is going to continue on Somewhere and that maybe it's not the worst thing in the world to need to come back to energy Earth or to get to come back to Earth.

And I want you to think about it from an open perspective for a moment. Is that imagine for a moment if somebody comes to this beautiful place of Earth and says, wow, this is a wonderful place and my thoughts help create my life and they've really mastered this ability. They've mastered the ability to have love and connection and joy and happiness and the things that they're wanting come to fruition.

Now, when you think about it for a moment, kind of like this, if you knew that you were going to come back again, And have another life on Earth. And that the next lifetime, you were really good at manifesting. You had a very healthy body. You were energized. You had a ton of love around you. You were connected.

You were enjoying life. And you were doing all the things that you want to do. You were very tuned in and connected with God, Source, Universe, Energy. How would that be for you? You know, that would be beautiful. That would be exciting. That would be elevated, evolved. That could feel really, really good and feeling connected with life force energy and being really good at understanding your mind and, and really living this life to its fullest.

I mean, that could be fun and wonderful and expansive and very connected. And so, that's the thought that I want to bring in as far as past lives go and future lives. That's, that's part of it, is that coming back to Earth isn't a bad thing and, by the way, If you catch yourself saying something like, I don't want to come back to Earth again, that very statement means that you didn't master this lifetime.

Because if you did, then life would feel amazing and incredible anyway. So if you didn't want to come back to this life on Earth, you might say instead, and you, and you had mastered it, then you might say something instead like, Oh my God. Life was amazing and I mastered all the love and the connection and the health and had this incredible connection with God the entire time and universe and, and just felt this feeling of so alive and really, really got good at manifesting and living life to its fullest.

I wonder what's next. Okay. So you would do so from a place of feeling euphoric and elated and, and excitement and feeling like you've really mastered this place. Manifestation thing of, of being good with the mind, then that could mean that, you know, that maybe Okay. That, that would be a way that you might say, I don't wanna come back to Earth, what's next?

Uh, but even then, I'm not sure that I, if I'm not sure that I would recommend that anybody really make that statement. And just, because all the time, the context that people will say this in is they'll say, yeah, you know, I'm, I'm done with this place on earth. You know, I'm, I, I don't think, I think I've finished the.

The punishments I've had to endure here and, and the lessons that I've had to learn and I'm ready. I think I've graduated beyond this. And you can even hear as they're saying this, they do not feel amazing about life. They definitely have not mastered happiness and the joy of life and the joy of manifesting because our lives are not working out.

And so just, again, if you think about the first law of thermodynamics and you think about like your energy is going to, Continue on and I would just invite you to have an open mind about it and I would say that it goes back to this type of rumor in spirituality that earth is less than. And that something else is greater than.

And that, you know, Earth is just like a punishment, or Earth is a lower level being experience, or something like that. And so, and I would say that's not entirely true. And, I want to invite you, because I know a lot of people get very sucked into the spiritual beliefs that they've heard, but I want to invite you to try something.

If you're somebody who's been sucked into those beliefs, I got to tell you one thing that can be very, very, very eye opening for people in a simple way is this. Is that most of the quotes that you hear, like even Gandhi's quote of become the change you wish to see in the world. When you start to look up did he ever actually say that, it's questionable in most cases, there's no record of it.

And if you start to look at a lot of the quotes that you hear, like you could literally take your favorite quotes, and I want to invite you, you can go to wikiquote. com or even just go and try to find this site. of a lot of them. And what you realize is that a lot of them don't even really exist. And my point in saying that is just that you'll see that there is a lot of misinformation in our spiritual communities.

A lot of misinformation. And so actually what I'll even have my team do is I'll have my team leave the wiki quote link in the notes for this podcast episode. And I want to invite you to to take one of your favorite spiritual quotes and put it into wiki quote and just look it up and search it and see if it's valid or go find the citation on it because I think you might be surprised because what you'll find is a lot of them will, when you start to really search the origin, it's like, Oh, this one's made up.

This one's misattributed. This one's true. We don't know where it came from. This one started in 1993 and so and so said that, like, you'll find that somewhere along the way somebody kind of made up a quote and then everybody grabbed on to it. And so my point is just that if you are somebody who has reaffirmed to yourself over and over, I don't want to have another life on earth, I don't want to have another life on earth, I invite you to just kind of investigate and make sure That is the best direction just because I don't see that as being a recommended belief pattern that you would want to have.

It would actually create more problems in your energy and the thing of it is, is even if it were true, again, even if it was true, the energy that you would want to come from would be, Oh my God, I really have mastered this life and all the loving connections and the, the relationships that I've created and the health and the vitality and the energy from it and the experience.

Wow. Then from that place, that would show more of a sign of mastery of the life experience, if you will. And so food for thought on that topic as well. And so, That said, let's go ahead and pause the session right here. We will pick up next week and finish out the rest of this session with Dave, but just food for thought on programming, on understanding why your mind is doing what it's doing, on creating resolution at a deeper level, on thinking about past life.

So just a lot of different pieces in this one and a bit of complexity. Bye. Let's be honest for a moment. The mind is complex. And so if we weren't bringing in complexities, then we definitely would not be talking about our minds, you know, so there are complexities and that's just what's real. But of course, the more that you understand them, the more you're able to master your health, your life and your happiness and empower yourself.
