Hello and welcome to this week's quick IQ episode where we talk about insights and questions and I want to share with you a really powerful insight that's really like the number one mistake that people make. when working with their mind that keeps them stuck or keeps them from really radically creating that transformation that they're wanting, whether it's in their health or their life.

And not only that, but a lot of times this mistake can actually end up creating more negative energy and more chaos in the brain. So that's what I want to share with you. And it's this, it's that. A lot of times when people have some type of negative way of thinking or negative belief or belief that they're not wanting, what they end up doing, subconsciously or consciously, is they end up arguing with the belief or trying to invalidate it or make it wrong in a way that kind of increases negative energy and also keeps it stuck.

instead of transforming it. And let me give you an example of what I mean. Let's say that somebody has an extreme fear of cats, right? So let's say they're terrified of cats. They feel like cats are dangerous and that's how they feel. Okay, so kind of using an example that maybe not a lot of people have.

Of course, there are some people and I don't want to invalidate that fear at all. We'll talk about changing it and what you do want to do. But point being is that I'm using an example that not a lot of people have just because I want you to see exactly what I'm talking about. So I'm using an example that's easier to see.

So again, just kind of speaking to that. So they have this extreme fear of cats. Now, what most people will do in this situation is they'll just start invalidating it and saying, well, I shouldn't be, and I don't know why I feel that way. And it's ridiculous. And I shouldn't feel afraid of cats. And I just need to push myself to be okay with it.

And notice what happens is there's that feeling of like, arguing and trying to make that feeling wrong and, and justifying or rationalizing it and all these things, right? Now that's what most people do, but what you actually want to do to create a real change in your life is create a different feeling around it.

And so instead of arguing with that situation, because the more you argue with it and invalidate it and all these things, It's not really creating a new neural pathway, which is what you want. You want to reprogram your brain. So instead, what you want to do is you want to create a new way of feeling. And so instead you would want to decide how you want to feel about cats.

So let's say that you decide that you want to feel like cats are so sweet and cuddly and kind and loving, and you love that they purr and it's just the sweetest thing ever. Okay, so what you would do is, of course, start programming that into your mind. Start feeling that. Start programming that in and getting that information in your brain.

Now what you're doing is you're creating a new neural pathway. You're creating a new way of feeling and being, a new programming. Then ultimately what you want to do after you get this new programming in, what you want to do is make sure. to go back and release that old programming. And that has the ability to create a radical shift to where you're starting to really feel in a different way.

Now, of course, this has to do with cats, but in every area of your life, if you create that real change, that real shift, when you radically feel differently about something, That's one of the keys to creating radical change in your life. Now, of course, when it comes to health and getting those results, you know, there's more specific information that you need to dial into for whatever it is that you're wanting to change.

This, obviously, we're using a cat as an example. But, point being, is you really want to dial in creating radical shifts in your mind. Now I mentioned also that in the other way it can create more chaos in your brain and I see that all of the time where a person knows that they have beliefs that they want to change or emotions that they want to and what they start doing is they start Like, arguing with them and justifying them and debating with them and while it can show some slight improvement and at least the desire is there to make a change, so that is good.

But, the side effect can be that it creates even more chaos in the brain because if you think about it, there's another feeling being created. There's another energy being created and it's the energy of defensiveness or justifying or arguing with the emotion. Eek! You don't want to do that. So that's what I see happen all the time.

And again, there can be some benefits to invalidating the old if it's done in the right way. If it's invalidating it from a kind place, or from a loving place, or from a, you know, insightful place because that's a different feeling. That's a different energy. And of course, you'd only want to do that if you've already created that new positive neural pathway first.

Because you need to create that new positive or the brain isn't going to change. And so bringing this to that place of simplicity is exactly that, is that instead of arguing with the emotion and rationalizing or defending it or trying to break it down first, you don't want to do that instead. You want to create that new PRN, that positive replacement neural pathway first, and then You know, after you create that new positive replacement neural pathway, then it would be good to release that old negative and not just the neural pathway, but making sure that all of the energy around that is being released as well and That you're doing it in a very harmonious way.

So it feels beautiful. It feels good and harmonious and uplifting. So that is key. And on that note of uplifting, you know, anytime you work with the mind, you ultimately should feel more uplifted, more positive. It should leave you feeling good. more full of energy. So that is key. And the quick tip for today is that if you notice that you're doing that, where you're arguing with old beliefs or emotions or rationalizing or justifying or trying to get rid of them and telling them they're wrong and all of those things, make sure instead that you've gotten really clear.

on the new positive replacement neural pathway, that PRN, and that it's programmed in and you really feel it because that. in and of itself can help you to start making even more positive shifts in the right direction just by at least starting to get in some more new positive programming because the reality of it is, is that our subconscious mind really does drive our life more than people realize.

You know, it feels like our conscious mind is in control, but that subconscious mind and really getting that new programming in. It's powerful. It's powerful. And it is life changing when you really get good at it. And of course, that is the goal. I mean, could you imagine looking around the world and seeing everybody?

good at mastering their mind and happiness and transforming their lives. And I mean, it would just be so amazing.
