My name is Brandy Gillmore, and after recovering from my own life changing injury, it's become my mission to share with others the same discoveries I made. that changed my health and my entire life. Your emotions and your energy to help you heal your health, yourself and your life.

Hello, and welcome to this week's quick IQ episode. Where we talk about insights and questions, and today I wanna share with you an insight regarding relationship, relationship patterns, because as you know, you know, there are patterns running in every area of our lives from health and happiness and money and success and relationships, literally every area of our lives.

And so often when it comes to relationships. People tend to compensate for their wounds because they don't consciously realize they're there. And so that's the quick insight that I want to take a look at today. And you know, one way to illustrate this pattern is, you know, a common behavior that I'll see is this, is I'll see when women are going out, you know, wanting to date, maybe they're dating a new guy and all of the time they might say, you know, don't tell him, don't let him know that you're too into him.

Because then he'll think you're needy, et cetera, et cetera. And, or, you know, this is stereotypical, it could be any relationship. But what happens is then, I've seen this so many times, is that the guy doesn't know she's interested and feels like she's not that interested. And then, starts dating other people.

And then of course, the woman is all upset. Like, how could he, I thought we were dating and now he's just seeing other people. Now, if we stop and unpack this for the moment, if you think about it, a lot of times what's happening is using this stereotypical example, let's say this woman is wanting to not be abandoned.

She's wanting to not be left. So she's trying to not express too much interest. and not let him know that she really likes him. Too much. And as a result, the very thing is happening. It backfires and he goes to find a different relationship and connection. And so a lot of times that very thing happens with people with all types of patterns.

You know, I'll see somebody who has a tendency to shut down in relationships, feeling like shutting down is keeping them safe and protecting them, but really it ends up. creating a disconnect in their relationship. So a lot of times what can happen is people will develop behaviors to try to avoid their pattern.

And yet. the pattern still continues. So technically a lot of times the behavior can actually perpetuate the very problem itself. And so that's what I want to invite you to look at in your life. If you have some type of patterned way that you're showing up in relationships, maybe it is a feeling of shutting down, or maybe it is a feeling of Feeling needy and you're trying not to be, or maybe it's a feeling of being passive aggressive or whatever that is.

But I want to invite you to take a look at this and see if you can up level yourself, up level your relationship by noticing what pattern you're in. is really going on in your life and being willing to change it. And ultimately what you really want to get to is a place of authenticity. And so, by the way, as far as relationships, I have worked with women who've been in that very situation where they've been in a place where they're not wanting to show men that they're too much into them when they're dating.

And I said, look, just be yourself. If you don't want him to feel like you're needy. Don't feel needy. Just feel authentic. Instead, feel confident, genuinely, like create the feeling of really feeling confident about you. And that is the magic, you know, genuinely change and. That is the gift. And I have to tell you, I have seen magic.

When that very thing happens, when you really decide how you want to be in a relationship and you embody it, you really genuinely feel that. And so that's the insight that I really want to bring today is exactly that. Is, is, Thinking about in your relationships, maybe it's a romantic relationship, maybe it's your friendships or your family connections and your relationships with your siblings or your parents or whomever, but thinking about what is the next level of genuine change of authenticity of how you really want to feel and embodying that.

and maybe even noticing if there is some type of behavior that you've developed to compensate for a painful pattern, I want to invite you to take a moment and see if you can identify what that pattern is and be willing to radically change that, you know, reprogram that in your subconscious mind so you really, genuinely, feel differently in your life and in your relationships.

All right, so that's today's quick IQ episode and I want to invite you just to see if there's something that you could take from this to implement in your life, because let's be honest, the more that everybody is loving and in beautiful, loving, wonderful relationships, feeling good and loving each other, the better this world is for all of us.
