Hello, and welcome to this week's quick IQ episode, where we talk about insights and questions. And today I want to share with you a very. Pivotal insight regarding setting goals or manifesting radical changes in your life. You know, as you may have heard by now, most people fail at achieving the goals that they set for themselves.
In fact, as much as 92 percent of people will fail at their new year's resolutions. And so I want to talk about why that is, because likely. It's a bit different than you may realize. Now, there are a few top reasons that this can happen. And first and foremost, what we want to remember is that we as human beings subconsciously want to grow towards love.
You know, you may have heard before that if a child doesn't get positive attention, they'll get negative attention. Why is that? Well, it's because we as human beings subconsciously, we need love. And connection. Now, of course, people may get built up wounding inside where they feel like they don't want love, but we still need love.
We need human connection. And so at a subconscious level. We will grow towards love and connection and the easiest way to illustrate this or picture This is if you picture a tree and if you've ever seen a tree before where it can even grow sideways if the Sun is coming from one specific direction or maybe you've seen that with a house plant where it grows towards the window because that's where the Sun is coming and that's an easy way to really illustrate that at a subconscious level We as human beings do the same thing, even though we may not consciously realize it.
Though, of course, there are complexities because we may struggle with that. We may not want love, and have wounding, and say, well, I don't want to be loved, and I don't want to be around people, and people are not safe. And then, subconsciously, there is also that innate human need for love and connection.
And, you know, if we build on that awareness, when we stop and think about it, loneliness has become an epidemic where people are feeling very lonely in life. And if we further build on that, we know that loneliness has become, you know, an epidemic and loneliness can decrease life expectancy and increase illness.
And so we can see that we really do innately need. Love and connection. And so as you're setting your goals this year, I want to invite you to really look at how they can bring in more love. into your life, meaning that if you even set a goal for the gym to work out, you know, for a lot of people, they may think, okay, well, if I go work out, I'm going to be doing it by myself, or if I go work out, that's time away from the family, or they may feel like, oh, I hate going to the gym, or I hate working out, in which case the chance of failing will go up exponentially.
However, if you feel that working out is going to bring in more love and more connection, then it's easier to get yourself to follow through. Now, that doesn't necessarily mean that you have to work out with somebody else, though that would be great, but even if you had it linked up in your subconscious mind that as you work out and you feel fit and you feel good in your body and in shape, that it's going to bring in even more love and connection and intimacy with your partner because you feel more comfortable in your own body.
And of course, if you feel comfortable in your own body, it's easier to connect, to be present, to enjoy connection and being close. And so for that reason, Getting fit and being in shape may bring in even more love and connection. Or even if you're setting financial goals, you could then make sure that part of your vision of that goal.
is that as you do reach your financial goals, that it enables you to do more with your family or friends or loved ones. And so again, the outcome, the goal then leads to more love and connection, which can help you grow towards your goals and also help your subconscious mind want to head in that direction.
Alright, so that's one really important and key insight to getting your subconscious mind to help align with your goals moving forward. Now, from that insight, we can also look at another key thing that people will do that will end up making them fail, and it's this, it's that a lot of times people try to get themselves to do things.
When they don't really like it, for example, they might want to go on a diet, but they don't like the idea of dieting, or they may want to get themselves again to work out, but they really don't like it, or whatever it is, they want to shift their relationship, and they want their relationship to get better and better, and yet they don't feel good about it, or whatever even with financial goals.
They want to set financial goals for the next level, but they really don't like money, and they're annoyed that they even have to have money, etc, etc. And so, whatever that topic is, there's some internal wounding or negative emotions towards that specific thing, and then people try to get themselves to follow through, and yet in their heart of hearts, at their core, in their subconscious mind, They don't really love the topic.
And so it's hard to get yourself to consistently follow through. with something when you really don't like it. However, if you change yourself, if you're transforming you and you start to fall in love with it, you start to really like it, you start to feel differently about it, that can help you to create a shift and really start showing up in a different way in your life.
And so creating this change inside of you is powerful. And, you know, I worked with people to help them to create radical shifts in their health, in their relationships, in their life, in their finances, even, you know, people making millions and millions and even a hundred million and hundreds of millions of dollars.
And so point being. When you really create these changes inside and the right changes inside, it can be pivotal for your life more than most people even realize. You know, most people overlook the awareness of what is really going on in their subconscious mind and genuinely changing that. And so I want to invite you to really Think about that in your life, because as you do, you change yourself, which leads to the third insight I want to share with you today, and it is really, as you're creating these changes for the new year, you want to make sure to set yourself up with the right habits, because as you do, that leads to follow through that.
leads to real changes in your life. And so I want to invite you to look at these three things in your life and look at which one you feel that you really need to apply the most, or maybe all three, and I want to invite you to take a look at this. In your life. Now, of course, in the coming weeks I'll be sharing more tips.
I don't wanna overwhelm you, but I'll be sharing more tips and key insights to creating radical changes in your health, in your life, in your happiness, all of that. So these are three key insights that you could use to help to set yourself up for success in 2024. And of course, as always, I wanna ask you to please do hit.
