Welcome to Heal Yourself. Change Your Life. I’m Brandy Gillmore and what I’m most known for is helping people to create radical transformations and even demonstrating the power of the mind and self-healing under medical equipment so you can see the results and my work has even been published in a medical journal because it’s truly incredible what we are all capable of when we understand our own minds at a deeper level.
So whether you’re new to this work or you’ve been studying the power of the mind for many years. I love that you are here. I love that we’re on this incredible journey together, and I look forward to sharing breakthrough information with you. That said, on this podcast, I’ll share two types of episodes.
First, self-healing episodes, where I share key insights from working with live volunteers. And the second type are where I answer questions from the audience. That said, if you’d like to volunteer or submit a question, come visit me at BrandyGillmore.com. On that note, let’s dive in.
Hello and happy beautiful day to you. Welcome to today’s quick IQ episode where we talk about insights and questions. And today I want to share with you a very important insight on getting results and also freeing yourself. From negativity, when we stop and think about it for a moment, you’ll hear me say all of the time that the specifics are important, even in the last IQ episode, we talked about key distinctions that make all of the difference, or even if we observe how the mind works. We know that different emotions can have a different effect on the body. If somebody’s embarrassed, their face can turn red. Emojis know that on our cell phones, we know that. Compared to if somebody’s having a panic attack, racing heart, shortness of breath, that’s a different emotion and a different physical effect. Just like a sexual thought is a completely different emotion and a completely different physical effect. And so we can see the different emotions affect the body differently or even. The example you hear me use all the time is the placebo. One person can take a fake pill and if they’re told that it is going to help with their, blood pressure, it can.
And if they’re told that it’s going to help with their Parkinson’s, it can do that. Now, of course, the placebo doesn’t typically heal the body. It can affect the symptoms, but it doesn’t typically heal the body. We have to go much further than that. But my point being is that we can see the specifics, we can see that being specific with the mind, specific emotions, specific thought patterns.
We can see that the specifics are key. And so I want to share with you another insight because even if you think about working with volunteers on the volunteer episodes, on the podcast, I help them identify specific mind programming to be able to create a radical shift to heal their pain, to heal themselves from emotional, physical, all kinds of changes.
You see people changing their eyesight or all kinds…pain or paralysis… all kinds of amazing things. Because they’re doing it, I’m just showing them how to use their own mind. But the key is, again, coming back to specifics. And so the specifics that I want to talk about today are this. Is that a lot of times people think when you’re working with the mind, it’s important to work with the belief system, and that can be a part, but we have to go beyond beliefs and we have to look at the feelings themself because feelings don’t always make sense.
Now, for example, maybe you’ve heard somebody say this before where they say something like, gosh, I feel so bad, or I feel guilty, but I know I shouldn’t. So where they can logically know that they shouldn’t feel bad, and yet they still feel bad. Or even if we take the unfortunate example of a cutter, somebody who cuts themselves and feels feelings of relief or euphoria or safety or control from cutting themselves. Now, of course, they could look at the big picture and see that obviously, they don’t believe necessarily that it’s going to keep them safe, yet they can feel that way. Or we can have mixed beliefs. Where part of us can feel something and we can believe something, but something completely different.
We can believe, have a completely different belief, but feeling. And so even the things that I worked with in my mind to heal myself, I didn’t believe them, but I felt them. And so there was all of these mixed emotions at a deeper level. And so the simple way to think about it is this. If we think about the awareness that all dogs are animals, that’s true. All dogs are animals. But we wouldn’t say all animals are dogs. And so of course all animals are not dogs. There could be cats, there can be all kinds of animals. And we want to think about it the same way. That yes, our beliefs can affect our emotions, but also our emotions can be opposite of our beliefs, and yet they can still affect our healing as well.
And so the core that we really want to look at is our emotions, even if it doesn’t make logical sense. In fact, part of the thing that I had going through my injury was I had this feeling of fear and also expecting to die. Now I believed that it was absurd. So every time I had this fear come up, I thought, that doesn’t make any sense.
I could let that go. That doesn’t make any sense. I could let that go. So every time it came up, I personally believed it was absurd and that I didn’t need to even give this thought any of my time because I knew it wasn’t true. I didn’t believe it was true. However, when I went into my deeper programming, I had errored mind programming linked up.
So I had the feeling of fear and expecting that I was going to die linked up, even though I didn’t believe it was true. And so that’s the point and that’s the insight that I want to invite you to think about, is just being honest with how you feel. And that’s how you can gauge it. Because when we think about it, our emotions do affect us. Even if somebody is feeling a sense of anxiety and they know they shouldn’t, but they’re feeling a sense of anxiety, that could create a panic attack, even if they know they shouldn’t or if they’re feeling guilty and punishment like they’re a bad person. They can feel these feelings, even if they know logically they’re a good person.
And so really paying attention to the emotions was another key distinction. That was really helpful in my injury of really understanding, okay, how do I feel? And at a deeper, deeper level, oh, I have this feeling of fear that I’m going to die even though it doesn’t make logical sense. Let me figure out why that’s there.
And so the more I was able to just take logic out of the equation and ask myself and inquire why I had this subconscious programming, the easier it was to just address it. And so that’s the insight that I want to invite you to think about. It doesn’t necessarily mean that your beliefs are in that direction, and it might be completely opposite, so you might believe it’s a completely absurd, as I did.
Then when you start to look at your subconscious programming, you might say, oh my gosh, this is linked up in my subconscious mind. But that can happen all of the time. So I see that so often where , a person feels a certain way even though they believe something different. So that is key. Now, another thing that comes up that I’ve seen time and time again that I just want to leave you with as well, is this.
Is that you’ll hear me say over and over, whatever is coming up is like a spiritual check engine light. And a simple way to think about it is, if you’re driving a car and the check engine light comes on, it tells you that something’s wrong with the car, you need to pay attention to something.
Similarly, if we have some type of health issue…there’s a check engine light, it’s a spiritual check engine light to say – What is going on? What’s in my subconscious mind? What do I need to pay attention to? It is that spiritual check engine light that says something is off, and we want to fix it.
And that’s what happened. I had that spiritual check engine light. I checked into my mind programming and I could see, hey, there was programming that was off. And so our symptoms or illness or pain or problems… it’s a check engine light. Now, the reason that I want to emphasize this, sometimes people will say, oh, the illness was a gift. The illness or pain or symptom or problem is a gift. You won’t want to tell your mind that. And it’s not even true. If you think about it, most people who have the injury that I had don’t get better. My doctors told me there was nothing else they could do for me.
And so most people who have what I had, it’s not a gift. They don’t feel like it’s a gift in their life. It ruins their life and creates all kinds of pain and problems. It’s not a gift. But the gift was that I changed. So the gift is in changing. Now. This may to some people seem like a simple distinction, but to me it’s everything.
If you tell your mind the problem is a gift, what your mind is going to want to hold onto it. It doesn’t want to let go of a gift, so your mind could want to hold on to the problem. And so you never want to say that the pain or illness or symptom or problem is a gift. Instead, change is the gift.
So we really embrace the transformation. Because even if I had this illness and all these things, it wasn’t a gift in my life. Change is a gift and, part of the reason I also say that is this is. Sometimes I have people say something like… You had an injury that woke you up and I wish I had some type of injury or whatnot, and I always tell people, you don’t need the injury.
The injury is not the gift, the pain, the symptom, the problem. The illness is not the gift, change is the gift. Anybody can change. Anybody can start reprogramming their subconscious mind to transform their patterns and their mindset to take their happiness, their health, their life to the next level. And that’s what’s exciting.
And so you can see that distinction. Because again, if your mind thinks something is a benefit or a reward or gift, it’s going to want to hold onto it. And so these key distinctions are everything. Now you might think, oh, these are small details, but let’s be honest, everything that we master and we get real results with, has details to it.
If you’re going to play the guitar, and you don’t know the difference between the G chord and the B chord, it’s not going to go so well. Likely, it’s not going to be great. Or piano … if you’re playing different notes and you don’t know the difference, likely you’re not going to master it. Or a computer, , if you’re typing in on the keyboard and you don’t know the difference between the keys, it’s not going to go so well.
And so these little distinctions are actually really important for anything that we do. Flying a plane, if you don’t know the difference between one monitor and another. Or one button and another button or switch and another switch, it’s going to be a problem. And so anything we get good at, we want to know the details.
And by getting the details and understanding that, it becomes pivotal. And so that of course, is my insight in sharing these distinctions is that the more that every single person in our world is happy, and healthy and loved and loving and feeling incredible, the better this world is for all of us.
