Welcome to Heal Yourself, Change Your Life. My name is Brandy Gillmore. And after recovering from my own life changing injury, it's become my mission to share with others the same discoveries I made that changed my health and my entire life. Minds are truly incredible. The placebo is proof of this. Each week, I will take this simple awareness to a whole new level.
I will even coach live callers to free themselves of physical pain, using only their mind. And then I'll provide you with a combination of practical and spiritual insights that you can use to master your mind, your emotions, and your energy. To help you heal yourself and change your life. Let's begin
Hello and welcome to this week's quick IQ episode where we talk about insights and questions and today I want to share with you a very powerful insight regarding the topic of mind programming because so often people will think that What they're doing is is working with their mind in the correct way, but it falls short of really getting the results that they want or all of the time people are doing things like justifying in their mind and yet that doesn't work to get the real results for healing, for life transformation, for happiness, for all of it.
And so I want to start by providing you with an example you hear me use all of the time and it's this, it's that, you know, unfortunately a person who may be dealing with something like self harm may get linked up and programmed in their mind that, you know, if they're cut themselves that they can experience a feeling of relief or euphoria or safety or control.
from cutting themselves. And of course, we can all have compassion for that person. It's not like they put that programming in their mind on purpose, but it gets linked up at a deeper level, even though it doesn't make any sense. And so what happens is it can control their entire lives, or people can get linked up in their subconscious mind.
Drugs are cool, and then it can ruin their lives because their lives go in that direction or Even as we were talking about on the last episode with our beautiful volunteer Kristen She had it linked up in her subconscious mind that As she's happy that it was sad or guilty and as you recall from that episode She had a lot of hurt and wounding built up around her father and you know He had been going through a lot of trauma for 18 years Being on and off life support and there was you know, all of those details if you remember from that episode 123, 124, and 125 there was a lot of wounding and hurt around that and she was very stuck in that pattern.
And she even said, you know, she finally felt that as he passed, that she felt that it was sad and she felt guilty, but she wanted to then live her life to its fullest. And so what unfortunately happened is she got it linked up in her mind that it was guilty. to be happy or sad to be happy. You know, it's sad.
She mentioned a few times during our session. It's sad, but I feel happy. I felt relieved. I felt like I could move forward. And so those things get linked up in the mind. Now, this is part of what is also profound, is that multiple people messaged in and said, but isn't it okay? that she's sad about this or that if that's, if she's sad about something else.
And, you know, and so they were basically trying to justify those feelings, but that's not how the subconscious mind works. It doesn't work based on justification. And let me explain this even more. Because when we start to really understand how the subconscious mind works, it's profound. And so one way we can look at this is, you know, you'll hear me use the term, I call it emotional reflexes.
That our emotional reflexes happen before we have a chance to think. Just like if somebody throws a ball at you, you may catch it right away off a reflex. Or you may duck or move out of the way based on a reflex before you have time to justify Think about what you're doing. Your physical reflexes are reacting before you have a chance to think about it.
The same is true with our emotions at a much deeper level. So all of the time, these subconscious emotions are driving our way of thinking, our perception, the way we experience life, what we're attracting in life. So even more than just a physical reflex, these emotional reflexes are really. shaping our entire lives, our consciousness, what we're seeing, experiencing, manifesting.
I mean, all of that, our health, our happiness. And so justifying or explaining them doesn't work. And so it was interesting to see a. Emails come in where people are saying, but what if it's for this reason or that reason? Is that okay? And the answer is no, you wouldn't want to feel that way. You, your programming really does matter even if it doesn't make sense.
And in fact, there was a young man that I worked with who had been suicidal for many years, and he had been in and out of facilities and getting treatment. And no matter what he did, he still was in this state of, of just always ended up back into a really bad place. Now, finally, somebody had brought him to me and I started looking at, you know, what's going on in his mind.
And he linked up as a young child that it wasn't happy to be safe. Basically what had happened was he had been standing at a bus stop and him and his brother were playing around and, and his mom yelled and said, stop playing around. You're going to get hit by the bus. And so what he linked up in his mind is that it wasn't safe to be happy.
And that if he was happy, he could not pay attention, and he could suddenly do something stupid and die. So it was literally not safe to be happy, and if he was happy, then he could die. And of course, it wasn't necessarily his mother's fault. I mean, if you think about it, his brother didn't get the information linked up in the same way in his mind.
And not only that, but the mother, of course, is trying to keep him from actually getting hit by the bus. So point being, we don't want to blame the mother either. And also we want to look at the awareness that this is what got linked up in his mind, is that if he's happy and enjoying life. Then he could die.
And so he had to not be that. And so he was in and out of this fear of death, and being happy, and depression, and then wanting to die. And all these things were linked up. And by the way, as you'll recall, on a past episode with a woman named Veronica, she also had it linked up into her mind that if she was happy, that people would be mean to her.
It wasn't safe to be happy. So that was linked up. In her mind, my point being is that we can't just justify information. That's not how it works. And another way to think about programming is like this is if you think about somebody who listens to their wedding song, and as soon as they hear it, they feel these feelings of love and connection and they melt, right?
It just melts them into the feelings of love. Oh, and by the way. Of course, if somebody then went through a really negative divorce, they could have both feelings linked up where they hear the song and they think about love. And then suddenly they feel all these feelings of hurt and resentment and say, well, shut this off.
You know, I don't want to hear this song. It's painful. Because multiple emotions can get linked up. And so, that's the point, is that it was interesting to see how many people wanted to justify, and by the way, I see this in so many ways. All of the time, people will go through some type of negative hurt or wounding.
And they feel that hurt and wounding, but, and then they say, well Yes, but I've forgiven the person, but that's a logical part. That's not the programming. And so to genuinely make a change, it does require real programming, real change. So something different is linked up. So there's a new automatic emotional reflex, if you will, like that's what really needs to happen.
to create a real change in your health, in your life. And you really need to make sure that the old emotion is not there at all. And the example or analogy that you'll hear me use all of the time. is if you open your refrigerator and there's old food sitting in there and you then justify and say, well, I forgiven it.
Just because you forgave the old food doesn't mean it's not going to sit there in your fridge and rot. Oh, I forgave it. I'm just not going to eat it. or whatnot, it's still a problem. And similarly, if you can find an old emotion in your subconscious mind, it's still there. So to get real, real results, you have to make that real change to where the emotion isn't there at all anymore.
That. That is key for making a real change. Now, by the way, I'm sitting here in front of my computer with my mic, and from my heart, I'm wanting to record, you know, this insight that can help you on your journey. Now, this is what I absolutely love, is that as I'm sitting here, I see this email that just came across my screen, and it is from our volunteer, Kristen, and I have to say, It's divine timing.
It is such divine timing. Let me read this email to you really quickly because you know, this is Kristen, our volunteer from the last episode. And she says, Hello, I wanted to share a win with you all. Yesterday was my father's anniversary of passing and typically I would have gotten stuck in the poor me's and cried all day.
But instead, I listened to the videos in the course and went for a walk outside instead of laying in bed crying all day. I didn't shed one tear. Yay me. Oh, I have chills. I just love that. I love that. Yay her. Cheering her on. What an incredible woman. And she goes on to say, you know, so much for your research and discoveries and, and sharing them with this and whatnot and.
Etc. So it just, and thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Just so, so, so sweet. My heart receives that. And just beautiful. Yay, her. Yay, her. I just love that. Now, if you think about it in a moment, when her and I first began this session, in the very beginning, she said she felt like her mind was programmed for negativity, and that she couldn't get out of it.
She didn't even know how to get out of it, and it was stuck. And she had been through years and years and years of that. therapy. How incredible is she? Oh my gosh. I just love this woman even more. I mean, I already loved her, but I just, I love this for her. I love her follow through. I love her change and I love how this is going to impact her kids.
So if you recall, she has three kids as well. So her coming out of this depression and being happy and, and being able to make a change and it just. It's beautiful. And of course, it's going to take, continue, follow through for her to get this programmed in her mind. But the fact that she's already made such a change from going from laying in bed crying all day to going for a walk and following through is pivotal.
That is he, and the fact that she's writing in to say, this is my win. I'm celebrating. Oh my gosh. I just, again, I have chills. I love this woman. Just beautiful. Now, what happens is this is as you take behaviors that you used to have and you really transform them and change them, it's pivotal. And so I want to invite you to look at.
In your life, what happens if you are happy? What do you have linked up to happiness? And by the way, I have to say, sometimes I'll have people who will come into courses or, you know, want to come into a video course and say, well, Brandy, I'm already really happy, negative emotions. Couldn't possibly be affecting me and they'll have some type of serious health issue and I'll say to them I love that they're already happy and What can happen in their lives is is that they'll feel guilt for being even more happy or undeserving if they're happier and so if they have a health issue, then it's kind of Impeding them from living their life to its fullest or you know having the perfect life They feel like if their life was even better, it wouldn't be fair So they'll have these things linked up.
And so that's what I want to invite you to look at in your life. How do you feel about being happy? How do you really feel? Not justifying, because again, it's interesting how many people try to justify their mind programming. And I see that all of the time. And I think, you know, most people I think could say that, you know, maybe they felt bad about something at one time and they tried to justify it, or they feel guilt towards something and they say, well, he did this, or she did that, or whatnot, and they try to Justify mind programming.
Justifying is not enough to create the real radical shifts that you want at a deeper level. They really need to be programmed in at a deeper level and Not only that, but you don't ever want to justify the negative. And unfortunately, I see people who do that all of the time, where they're justifying, well, I feel sad because of this, or I feel sad because of that.
And they're justifying it. But instead of justifying it, ultimately, what you really want to do is eradicate it. And by the way, I can't tell you how many times I've seen people say, you know, Oh, to heal, just do what makes you happy. And then they don't realize that they have a lot of guilt feelings towards being happy, or that it's unfair, or they feel shame for being happy, or it's sad to be happy, and they have those things linked up.
At a subconscious level. And then, so anytime I'll see people who will say, well, to heal, I'm just trying to do what makes me happy. And I can't tell you how often I have seen people who say that. They say, well, you know, I'm trying to heal. So I'm just doing all of the things that make me happy. And I'm just trying to stay in the state of gratitude and do all of the things that make me happy.
And yet they don't realize at a subconscious level, they're programmed to feel guilty when they feel happy. Or that they're not allowed to feel happy. And so they're, they're, again, it's just, you really want to be aware that to get real healing results, it does take real change. And the reason that I emphasize that over and over and over is because I know on episodes where I help people that, you know, to heal themselves and get rid of a tumor or, um, release pain or bring back their eyesight or move body parts that have been paralyzed, I mean, all kinds of amazing things, I make it look really Easy, and it can be, but it does take real, real, real change, real reprogramming at a deeper level, not just, let's just focus on being happy and being grateful.
It takes a deeper, deeper level of programming. And so I just want to emphasize that because honestly, for me to be in good integrity. It's important for me to emphasize that there's depth to this. And so I want to invite you from today's insight to look at this in your life and to look at what do you have linked up to being happy?
And is it happy? Is it positive? Is it good? Or do you have feelings of guilt? Or people won't like you? Or That it's bad, because even if you have it a little bit, it's impacting you. Whether you realize it or not, it's impacting you. So some people might have it linked up. Oh, it's, I want to hold back my happiness a little bit.
That's programmed in their mind. That is impacting them. And so I want to invite you to look at exactly that. Is just notice and become aware. What do you have linked up to happiness in your life? And is it optimal for your own programming? And if not, are you willing to start changing that? So the first step is really, of course, being honest with yourself and noticing what is really there without trying to change it right away.
Instead, Awareness is key, because all too often people are just trying to throw as much stuff as they can in their mind without noticing what is really inside. What is in their heart of hearts? What is really programmed in? So that's what I want to invite you to look at today, and if so, if you're willing to really start.
Reprogramming it because that of course will be key and some simple things you could do is decide how you want to feel. That being happy brings in more love and more happiness and that it's safer and it's good for you and start bringing that in could be very helpful. Now, as always, I want to be honest that typically it also takes deprogramming the negative as well.
So you bring in the positive, get rid of the negative, but at least starting to bring in the positive new mind programming. of how you do want to feel can start to create a shift. And so I want to invite you to look at this in your life and look at how you do want to feel and start getting that in if, of course, this is an issue for you.
All right. So that said, it has been such a pleasure connecting with you all. And I want to ask you, as always, please do make a point to hit the share button. own mind, knew how to reprogram their own mind. Every person was happy and healthy and empowered and feeling great.
I mean, this world would just be even more incredible than it already is. And so I want to ask you to please do take just a quick moment to hit the share button. And please do make a point to have a most wonderful, happy, beautiful, loving rest of your day. And I look forward to connecting with you on the next episode.
We'll see you there.
