Hello and welcome to this week's quick IQ episode where we talk about insights and questions. And today I want to share with you a few simple things that you could do to To start letting go of struggle and to really step into ease as we step into 2023. And by the way, on that note, happy, happy, beautiful new year.
It's going to be an incredible year. You know, the reality of it is, is that our thoughts, our emotions, our mindset, create our lives so much more than people realize. And of course, if you're here. You know that. And I have to say, you know, the changes that I get to see people make are absolutely incredible.
You know, if you think about past episodes where you see people releasing their pain in minutes, using their own mind, or, you know, even if you think about the woman who had the tumor in her throat, who was able to heal that and had her doctor cancel her own surgery, or the one who was bedridden in episode number five, who went on to run a partial marathon and.
It's traveling around the world and a hundred percent healthy and happy, and they're able to do this. And I see people who make radical changes in their life, in their relationship, in their success and their happiness and all kinds of things. And so of course the first thing is embracing your confidence in self and also embracing your willingness to genuinely change you.
You know, it's so common for people at the beginning of the year to set all of their intentions. As we all know by now, for most people, those intentions are out the window by February and a lot of people struggle to try to achieve them, to even just try to follow through. And so that's part of what I want to talk about today is, you know, just general struggle in life, but also struggle towards goals and creating that change.
Because so often. you know, people do get stuck in struggle. They'll feel like achieving a new goal is struggle or life is a struggle. And that is typically because a lot of times people are wanting a change in their life, but they don't really embrace the change on the inside first. And you know, one way you can stop and think about struggle for a moment is If you think about somebody who's getting dressed and they put on their shoes first and then they try to put on their pants, even getting dressed would feel like a struggle.
It would feel impossible. Like it was so hard just to get dressed. And I know this is a silly example. But it's so true in life that all of the time people will set intentions during this time of year, and they say all of the things that they want to achieve or be or do or change, and they're gung ho on the outside, which is great, by the way.
Action is a wonderful thing. but action without creating also a change on the inside and nurturing that change will set most people up for failure. And the reason that is, is of course, our subconscious minds are controlling our habits and our behaviors. But when you make sure to really transform your subconscious programming along with your actions, your goals and with your intentions and really change you, it becomes easy.
And so that said, I want to provide you with a few simple things that you could do to help to make this transformation easy and make an easeful 2023. And it's this, it's number one. If you want to look at whatever you've decided that you want to do in 2023, you know, by this point, a lot of people have already written down intentions for 2023, something they want to change or do, or maybe you know in your mind what it is.
And of course it's better to write it down. And then I want to invite you to ask yourself, what would genuinely need to change inside of you? to make this more easeful. And a simple example could be, you know, a lot of people will create intentions to work out, to go to the gym or start exercising every day.
And they'll try to force themselves to do this and follow through. Now, of course, what would make it more easeful is if you trained yourself to love it. Now, if you're making a point to purposely love working out, then you're It's easy to follow through and to make it a new habit. And so that's just one simple example.
But from this, I want to invite you to look at anything that you have written down and see if there is some type of shift that you know that you could make on the inside that would make everything a lot easier. And by the way, if you also have a negative block towards it, you'll want to make sure to change that.
Meaning that. You know, using the same example, if you are somebody who has gone through your life and has repeatedly said something like, I hate exercising or exercising is horrible or it's painful or it is blah, blah, blah, whatever it is, you'll want to make sure to reprogram that to get rid of those feelings completely because all of the time, when it gets to this time of year, people do exactly that.
They try to do something that they don't like, or they're not used to, or they're out of alignment with, and they try to just. Forced themselves to do it. And of course, you'll want to make sure to genuinely shift on the inside. So you create that genuine change towards anything that you're wanting, not just exercise, but whatever your goals and intentions and desires are, maybe it's a relationship or your health or career or anything you want to make sure to make that genuine shift on the inside.
And it is so much easier. And so that is. Insight number one. And the second thing is let this new change that you're wanting to make become the new you, if you will. Meaning, what you can do is look at this and define how you're changing you. Meaning, let's use the same example of working out. You know, you could start to look at yourself as somebody who works out.
Can you be yourself? become the change. Can you embrace this? Can you just let this be who you are so you're fully embracing it as part of you? So that can help you consciously embrace the change as well. Now, the third thing that I want to invite you to do is simply make a list of all of the things that could derail you from achieving your goal.
And then you Overcome the objection ahead of time, meaning this, if we just continue to use the same example of working out, you might say something like, you know, I know myself and there's a chance that maybe I'll get too busy and stop going. Or, Times will come up when I really just don't feel like it.
So then I skip and I skip and I skip, and before you know it, I'm not going yet. So you might write down these things that could derail you and then come up with what you would do to overcome it. So you know that if you catch yourself saying, you know, I just don't really feel like it. Um, you purposely get yourself in a mood to feel like it.
So maybe you really don't feel like working out because it's something new. And maybe you make yourself a fun playlist and you say, okay, look it, I'm going to listen to an upbeat playlist. And as soon as I start hearing that, it's going to give me some energy and I'm going to get going. And I'm just going to tell myself, all right, five minutes of exercise.
And you know, if you start five minutes of exercise and you're doing it to a fun playlist, it's. easy for five minutes to turn into 35 minutes, you know, and, and to keep going. And so that might be exactly it. You know, you write down what could derail you and what you're going to do to overcome it so it doesn't derail you so you can continue to follow through.
to create that new habit. And number four, I want to invite you to make sure to tap into the power of your emotions. You know, write down all of the ways that you will feel as you really continue to do this and to make this change a reality. And to make this year your best, most favorite, most loved, happiest, healthiest year so far.
