Welcome to Heal Yourself, Change Your Life. My name is Brandy Gillmore, and after recovering from my own life-changing injury, it's become my mission to share with others the same discoveries I made that changed my health and my entire. Our minds are truly incredible. The placebo is proof of this. Each week I will take this simple awareness to a whole new level.
I will even coach live callers to free themselves of physical pain using only their mind, and then I'll provide you with a combination of practical and spiritual insights that you can use to master your mind, your emotions, and your. To help you heal your health yourself and your life.
Let's begin.
Hello and welcome. It is so wonderful to connect with you. I just love that you are here, continuing to expand your mind, your energy, your consciousness, your healing. I just love it. And I love the power of distinctions, you know, gaining clarity as to what you want to do to create what you want. radical changes in your health, in your life, in your emotions, your energy, where you're really feeling good, happy, healthy, alive, you know, making real changes.
And so that's what today's episode is really about. And by the way, going through my own injury, there were key distinctions that I made that were pivotal, that helped me go from one level to the next of really. Getting what it is that I needed to do. Because, you know, if you've been on the self help journey, then you know that becoming aware of what's in your subconscious mind and how to get it to work and understanding just that level of clarity.
is huge. It's profound. It's all of the difference. And that's what's in today's episode. So I love that. And our beautiful volunteer, her name is Barbara and she's such a sweetheart. And she's got some stubborn stuck patterns that are going on that are keeping her from really making a change in her life.
in her own life. And so that said, we're about to dive in working together with Barbara. And as we do, you'll notice she's got some health issues going on and also some strong, emotional, energetic patterns that are connected to them. And so that's where we're going as we step in with beautiful Barbara, here we go.
So wonderful. It is so wonderful to connect with you. Yeah, you too. Thank you very much. Absolutely. And how can I help you today? Oh, well, I have a couple of issues. Um, so first of all, I have MS, multiple sclerosis, and that does give me several symptoms. The worst one being fatigue. So I'm really, really tired all the time.
And Well, lack of energy and I have some trouble sleeping, which kind of intensifies the fatigue. And then also I have a headache, like shoulder, neck, jaw pain, not all the time, but on, off, um, and, uh, some gut issues, pain bloated, uh, definitely some food intolerances, but it's hard to pinpoint exactly what it is.
Cause, there's always a little, a little trouble. Uh, and I know that the MS makes it worse also because the whole flow in the gut isn't as good as it, as it should be. So that's, that's like the shortly put the issues. Um, and, and I know that cause I've been listening a lot to, to your podcast that maybe you prefer to work with something which is really current and the MS is, it's such a big thing that it can't really work with that.
I think in, in just half an hour, but today I do have some headache and some pain in the neck, jaw, shoulder. It's not at, at its max, but it's there. Um, and then I'm really, really tired. It it's been a tired day, an extra tired day, but also here in Denmark, it's 7. 00 PM. So it's. Getting closer to bedtime. All right.
All right. All right. So, um, bingo. All right. So give me just one second. And, and, you know, uh, yes. So as far as working with a pain, um, I do like to do that in conjunction with something else. And, and the reason being, it will kind of just depends on what, what your body says and, and what universe says, and we'll, we'll see what all we can cover.
Yeah, yeah. Perfect. Well, I would love the MS to just go away. That would be very, very lovely. I have, I have seen amazing things with MS. So let's, we're going to dive in with that. Um, we will. And if I ask you additionally, uh, what is your current level of pain in your neck? Um, jaw area? Let's say it's six, seven.
Okay. And we are going to work with that one. Um, because it's going to be important. And, uh, and if I ask you, um, how many kids do you have? Two. Two. Bingo. And bingo. And can you give me the youngest one's first initial? S. And the other one actually also. L. Bingo. Okay. All right. All right. So, uh, so I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe.
And, if I ask you, would you say that maybe sometimes you might be a little bit headstrong or stubborn, just a little bit? Yeah! Okay, so uh, so maybe kind of a little lot sometimes, would you say? Yeah, I can be headstrong and What was the other word you said? A little stubborn. Stubborn. Stubborn. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. I guess I can be stubborn also. Yeah. Mm hmm. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. And if I ask you, do you ever notice that come up with L? I guess it does. Not so much anymore as it did earlier, uh, but yeah, she's, she's actually in the US right now. She's been there for almost a year, so I'm not seeing her so much.
Okay. So, uh, so I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. And when you were seeing her more often. If I ask you how much more that type of maybe a bit headstrong ish feelings came up, how much would you say that is? Yeah, I really wasn't thinking we were going to go anywhere close to that, but, uh, yeah, I guess we, we did have some issues, me probably wanting to help more than she wanted to be helped.
Bingo. Yeah. And so I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. If I ask you, how clearly can you see her wants, her needs, what, how she feels, who she is, how clearly can you see her? Hmm, I have a, I believe, on a 7, 8, maybe on a 10 scale. Okay, so I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe. Bingo. And I want you to notice the level in your jaw.
0 to 10, what's the level of pain in your jaw area? Bingo. What would you say? I think it's about the same. So, uh, I would have said a little bit less, but we'll, we'll, yep. So, but either way, so, uh, bingo. So give me one second. Okay. And if I ask you the, uh, can you give me again, uh, the kid's father's initial, please?
It's also S. It's not the same name, but they're both with S, my son and my husband. Can you, uh, can you say your, uh, husband again? The S. Can you just say S for him? S. Bingo. And can you say S towards your son? S. Great. And can you say your husband again? S? S. And then can you say L again? L. And so I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe.
So if I ask you, if your mom were going to describe you, would she say that you were a bit headstrong at all? I think it depends whether she would describe me now or as a child, as a child, you definitely would now. I'm not so sure. All right. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. Does headstrong, I mean, English is not my, my first language.
Does headstrong mean that you really believe in your own opinions? Yeah, it can be, uh, I mean, you can have a good type of headstrong, but yeah, like a headstrong is very, uh, kind of stubborn, um, and not so flexible. Yeah, no, I, I, I don't think people in generally would describe me as really stubborn and headstrong, but inflexible, yes, but that's pretty much due to, um, I have all these, I can't eat this and I have to sleep there and I have to sleep again there and I'm too tired that, so I put everything in boxes, so my life kind of.
It all equates in somehow, but it's, it's more my, yeah, my, my MS that makes me inflexible. Bingo. Okay. So let's go a different direction real quick. Okay. Okay. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. Bingo. Okay. Okay. So if I ask you. Zero to 10, how much. Uh, bingo. Let me ask it in a different way.
Hold on one second. I'm just, I know where I want to go and I'm just trying to help. I want you to see it. Um, give me one second. Bingo. Okay. If I ask you zero to 10, how much you can find a feeling, a feeling, uh, of being afraid of blamed for things. Zero to 10. What would you say? Nine. Bingo. Okay. Love your self awareness.
Love it. Love it. Okay. So I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe. And how many people would you say? in the world have made a mistake in their past? Most of them. Most of them? Yes. I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. I would say probably pretty much anybody who's over one minute old, right?
And I want you to think about that exact thing. And if I ask you why You have such a trigger to feeling blamed. What would you say? I, well, now we're going to go into all this psychology and everything, but I'm pretty sure that it's because I was blamed a lot as a kid. Like, drop a little thing on the floor and being blamed and yeah.
Being, being told you're, you're just such a class or you're just such a choir. You just, so if I know we shouldn't go there, I know, well, I know we shouldn't go there, but I also know you don't want to go there, but yes, that's the answer to the question. Yeah. Okay. But I have a question for you. Yeah. Who brought up this topic?
Well, you asked me. That's my point. There's a reason I'm bringing it up.
All right. So let's go ahead and pause it just for a quick moment. You know, in the very beginning of this episode, I mentioned the importance of distinctions, and this is a very important one. Now, notice she mentioned that I didn't really want to talk about childhood issues, and I don't even want to go there.
Okay, but that is not the case. Now, I want to unpack this a bit more, because it's not about avoiding childhood patterns. And this is the easiest way to think about it, is this, is that, notice right now, as we dive in, you'll notice she's stuck in her own patterns, right? And everybody has their patterns and whatnot, so it's nothing negative about her, but, you know, everybody gets stuck in their patterns.
Now, imagine for a moment that a person who is feeling stuck in their patterns goes to then work on their childhood wounding, who's also stuck in the same pattern. Now, the problem is You can't really make exponential growth that way. And so all the time I'll see people who are working with their current self and their childhood self on the problematic pattern that they're stuck in.
Now, in contrast, imagine if somebody. in this moment, in their current self, breaks free from that pattern. They start to see things in a new way. They start to feel in a new way. They really start to change their mindset. Now, from that place, if you free yourself and you're changing your mindset, where you really are operating in a different way, feeling in a different way, and then you address your little self, that means you have a healthier current self.
who's working with your childhood self or your past patterns, which is room for exponential growth. And that's the way that I do my process. So I call it reverse emotional processing to remember to do it reverse of what everybody's been taught to do. And so that was something that I figured out during my injury is that I needed to do things absolutely backwards from what everybody else was doing to be able to get results.
Because let's be honest, you know, most of the time people can work on the same pattern for 10, 20, 30 years. I mean, I've seen people who have been aware and self aware with patterns that they've wanted to work on for very long periods of time. that still continue to resurface because of this very reason.
You have to work with your mind in a different way. And so my point being is I'm not trying to avoid childhood patterns, just instead to work with them in a different way. So if we can acknowledge something that is a childhood pattern, such as this pattern with blame, we say, you know, look, this is a childhood pattern.
Great. Now let's do it differently. Especially when you take in the awareness that our emotions control our consciousness. Meaning, you know, if you're really, really, really, really in love with somebody. What do you see? You see all of the good in them. Okay, but you're really, really pissed off and angry at somebody.
What do you see? Your mind will tend to fault find in them. And so you see the negative. So this is what I call emotion controlled consciousness. So what happens is if your mind is in a pattern of currently and then you go to work on your childhood self who is in the same pattern, there's no way to introduce a new consciousness because both your current self and your little self are in the same consciousness.
So it doesn't help you to create a radical shift that would create real healing results. Instead, You just stay in the same pattern. And so that's what I figured out during my injury, is that if I wanted to get real results, I'd have to work with the mind in a different way, which of course is what led to what I now refer to as reverse emotional processing.
And it's basically just, again, doing it differently than what I did. everybody else is doing. And that has been a key distinction for helping to get radical results. And so just reinforcing that my goal isn't to have you avoid the childhood self. It's instead to have you to shift. And by the way, if you think about it from past episodes, you'll hear people releasing their own pain.
And so when you even think about it on a health note, a lot of times you'll see people, and that's exactly what we're doing on past episodes, releasing pain or problems or all kinds of things, numbness and you know, you name it, all kinds of issues just by changing in the now. And so what that means as far as somebody being in pain, it means that they can create a shift in the now and release their pain.
and then make sure to work on their childhood self and patterns and all of that. So it's much easier to continue the work on yourself when you're not in extreme pain at the same time. So there's, there's just so many reasons that reverse emotional processing came about. So anyways, point being, making sure that you're not thinking that we're avoiding childhood self.
We definitely don't want to do that. We just want to work with it in a very different way. Which is where we're going as we step back in. With beautiful Barbara, here we go,
right? So it is important for your healing, for your transformation. Letting this pattern go is going to be important. How do you feel about that? Oh, I feel fine about that. Great. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. Yeah. And if I ask you how reactive you feel when you feel like somebody's trying to blame you, what would you say?
Great. Oh, very. It's, it's, uh, defense almost going into, uh, um, well, defense almost going into offense. Yeah. Mm hmm. And so I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe. And if I ask you how much you have felt like L has blamed you in the past for things, what would you say? I probably think that she has blamed me more than she actually has.
Okay. I mean, she's, she's, she's, she's pretty good at not actually doing it, but I have still felt it a lot. Okay. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. Love, love, love yourself. Honesty. Uh, beautiful. Okay. Thank you. Absolutely. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. And I want you to notice the defensive part of you.
Zero to ten, how much can you see it? I guess, let's put nine, yeah. Great, so I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. I want you to notice this pattern. So this pattern of blame, pattern of blame, pattern of blame, blah, blah, blah. Now, if I told you that somebody has a pattern that they keep attracting.
So you've listened to past episodes, you're with me on that. You understand, right? Now, if I said they have a pattern that they keep attracting, and by the way, they keep defending, defending, defending, defending, defending against it. How does that go? Well, it definitely doesn't. I think that So wait, wait, wait.
Come with me. Come with me. Yeah. Yeah. It doesn't work. It doesn't work at all. You need to change the pattern. Yeah. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. And I'm going to ask you to take that in, that you're willing to change, that you're excited to change, you're willing to change. And I'm going to ask you to breathe.
I just wanted to say, I am so willing. And I was, I was actually both aware and willing to change before I talked to you. I just think Maybe it's difficult, more difficult than just wanting to do it. Okay. Just so I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe. Okay. And I want you to notice for a moment what it would feel like to just relax.
To just, just, just relax. And I want you to notice if I ask you zero to 10, how much you feel defensive right now? Zero to 10. Okay. This is funny. Yeah. Well, okay. So I'm going to breathe. Yeah. Okay. I don't, I don't feel defensive as such. I just wanted to tell you that I have been. fighting a war, trying to change myself for many years.
So asking me to change, I'm like, yes, I really do wanna. Yeah. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. I'm going to ask you to breathe. And I'm going to ask you to bring in the awareness that nobody's blaming you and nobody's picking on you, and I'm going to ask you to breathe and just follow me, just follow me, follow me, follow me, follow me.
I'm following you. Yeah. Great. Great. So, I need your mind to want to go where I'm going. Okay. So, I'm you to breathe. I need your mind to want to go where I'm going. So, I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. Now, if you try to pre think what I'm going to say, then your mind is going in a different place than where I want to go.
Right? So, I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. And I'm going to ask you just for a moment to be willing to change. Okay. And I know you're willing to change. I hear you. I hear you. I hear you. I'm going to ask you just for a moment to just take in the feeling that you're willing, willing, willing to change.
And so I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. You're willing to change. You're willing to think in a different way. And I'm going to ask you to breathe and I'm going to start blaming you for all kinds of stuff right now. I'm just going to blame, blame, blame, blame, blame, blame, blame, blame, blame, blame.
I'm going to ask you to relax. And who the heck cares, cause you don't feel defensive at all, and I'm gonna blame, blame, blame, blame, blame, blame, and you don't even care, you're, you're not feeling triggered, you're not feeling upset, you're feeling fine, you're, you're, you're good, you are good in yourself, and I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe.
And there's no need to defend. And there's no need to feel bad. And there's no need to defend. And there's no need to get upset and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. It's just boring. Right? Like, it's boring. Right? Yes. It's just boring. It's boring. Would you agree? Boring? Let's not go there. It's boring. It's boring.
So, notice the difference what I'm saying. I'm saying what? It's boring. You're saying let's not go there. That's two different things. Oh. Okay. So, I'm going to ask you to breathe. Watch this picture. There's something on TV. That's boring. What does that sound? What does that look like something on TV is boring?
That's a certain way of thinking right? Yeah Now picture there's something on TV and you said we're just not gonna go there How different is the action between boring and, and let's not go there? How different? It's very different. Very different. Boring is really relaxing and not caring and not going in there is like the war again, the fight again.
Not wanting to. ask you to breathe and I'm going to ask you just for a moment to take that in. All right. Bingo, that you're willing to change. I am. Okay, so I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe.
All right, so let's go ahead and pause it just for a quick moment. You know, first and foremost, I just adore her. What a sweetheart and also some stuckness going on and I can totally understand that. I had stuck areas in my recovery and figuring it out and all of that. And so I want to take a moment and just point out a very important distinction here.
Again, It's that, there's a big difference, as we're talking about, you know, there's a big difference between not going there and instead feeling like something is boring. To look it in the face and say, hey, this is now boring. I'm not going to get caught up in this same thing. And so, first and foremost, you know, taking in that awareness, you don't want to avoid everything.
Because if you do, it's just going to stay in your subconscious mind. I mean, let's be honest. Most people are avoiding the very things in their subconscious mind. Now they may be avoiding them because they don't know that they're there, or they may be aware that the patterns are there, but they just don't know how to deal with them or don't want to, or whatever reason, or because they continue to stay stuck, mostly unconscious.
But my point is, is that either way, avoiding These things, or not wanting to look at them, don't go there, doesn't solve the problem. So we definitely do need to go there. We just also want to change the way we feel about it, the way we proceed with it and be willing to change. All right. So that's where we're going as we step back in with beautiful Barbara.
Here we go.
So I want you to notice the difference between boring and the difference between, uh, not going to go there. So if I ask you how big of a difference, what would you say? Yeah. It's a big difference. It's a big difference. Right? So this is the thing, is that to be able to get results, I'll need you to listen to, listen very, very, very acutely.
Does that make sense? Yeah. Okay. Bingo. All right. So give me one second. I want to go with a bingo because I need to direct your mind and there's some resistance. So give me one second.
All right, so I want to go ahead and actually pause the session right here because what we've been talking about are small distinctions that can make a big difference and this is one of them. Now, imagine for a moment if you were going to drive across town and you got in your car and you put One foot on the gas, or we'll call it the go pedal, because I know that there's a lot more electric vehicles.
Um, and so we'll call it the go, the go pedal, the gas pedal, whatever you want to call it, the moving forward pedal. And you have one foot on that pedal and then the other foot is on the brake pedal. And you tried to drive across town, it would be extremely hard to do. Unfortunately, that's what change looks like for a lot of people.
And myself included, when I was going through my injury, I realized that I had a lot of blocks towards change. And it wasn't necessarily due to stubbornness, though there was some of that too. But some of it was just subconscious programming. For example, I had heard throughout my life, from a variety of different times from people, Oh, you're so sweet.
Don't ever change. You know, or even in my high school yearbook, I clearly remembered that where people had written in there, don't ever change. You're so wonderful. You know, just sweet things. And, Even though, of course, my conscious mind knew better, you know, as an adult now I needed to change, those things got stuck in my subconscious mind.
And so there I was with one foot on the go pedal and the other foot on the brake pedal, wanting to change and also having all of this programming in my subconscious mind that said, don't ever change. And so obviously it made it harder to change. And that was a distinction for me that I had to take in.
that I was willing to change. I was excited to change. And so that's actually the insight that I want to bring to you today is exactly that, is that, you know, so many people get on this journey of self help or personal transformation or healing, and there's a part of them who doesn't want to change.
Further, there's a lot of people who are just wanting the universe to do it or God do it. And they say, you know, just, you know, they just want to visualize being healed But remember, as you can see from all these past episodes, when people are getting real results, it's because they're creating real change.
And so it does take real change. It does take authentic follow through, but. It's life changing. I mean, when you really make the changes, changes your health, changes your life, it's so beautiful. And so that's the insight that I want to share with you today is exactly that. And I want to invite you to look at this in your own life and ask yourself if you are really willing.
to embrace changing you. And if not, be willing to start changing that. All right. So that said, it has been such a pleasure connecting with you. And I'm going to ask you to please do make a point to hit the share button on this episode. You know, share it with somebody you love, somebody you care about, or somebody you don't even know because the more happy and healthy and loving and empowered that every single person is in our world.
The better this world is for all of us. And so please do make a point to hit the share button and please do make a point to have a most wonderful, fantastic rest of your day.
Thank you for listening to Heal Yourself Change. All of the time people reach out and say how much these episodes have given them hope or touched their heart, or help them stay positive in hard times, or even woken them up to a completely new level of awareness of how amazing we all really are. If today's episode touched your heart or expanded your mind in any way, please do me a favor and be sure to share it with those you care about or those you know who really.
As more and more people become empowered, it really will change our world for the better. That is the point and the power of these demonstrations is to create a radical shift in our world consciousness by showing everyone what we are all capable of. And of course, each volunteer will really need to follow through to reinforce their programming, to maintain their results.
But the point. For you to see that you really can create rapid results in your health and your life if you really understand how to use your mind. You are incredible. And I do wanna be clear though, that most people will not get results this fast on their own. I make it look very easy because of the discoveries that I made.
You'll wanna remember that there's so much more going on in our minds at a deeper level than people. That said, if you wanna send me any questions or comments, come visit me on my website brandygilmore.com/podcast. And if you're cu
