Hello and welcome. It is so wonderful to connect with you. I just love that you are here. continuing to expand your mind, your energy, your consciousness, your healing. I just love it. And, you know, I love each and every episode because there's always some insight that can help you to add to your life in a beautiful way.

And that is definitely today's episode. You know, all too often people can have feelings, hangups about deserving or receiving, and it can affect you. It can affect your health. It can affect your life, surprisingly, which is the case for our beautiful volunteer, Jamie, and as we go to dive in. One of the things we're going to talk about is being willing to receive and feeling like it's safe to receive.

And a lot of times people might think, Oh, well, you know, receiving is just one topic and health is another topic. Like they're two separate topics, but of course, They can impact each other and they can show up in a variety of different ways. And so that's where we're going on today's episode. And again, our volunteer, her name is Jamie and she's an absolute sweetheart.

You're going to love her. And let's go ahead and dive in. Here we go.

Oh, hello. Hi there. There we go. Hello there. It's wonderful to connect with you. Exactly. I love it. I'm so excited. I'm still fighting this cold that's going around. Ah, that's fine and no worries and thank you and I love that you're here and I'm sorry to hear that you have a cold and, and that's not fun.

Let's, uh, let's chat about that. Yeah. What, what is going on, my dear? Well, the reason I joined you, um, I was at lunch with a friend and she said, you have to start watching this Brandy Gilmore podcasts. And cause we were talking about a Parkinson's like tremor. That I have, um, which has been getting progressively worse since the end of 2021.

It started with just one second. Hold on one second. There's a lot of background noise. Do we know what that is by chance? Um, it's gone. Should be fine now. Is there a tapping? Like, it sounds like something's tapping on something. Um, that's the tremor. Okay. All right. So I'm with you. Okay. Great. So, uh, that's helpful to know.

Perfect. I was, I was actually wondering that, but there we go. So, uh, let's continue. So you've had those tremors. You're at lunch with a friend. She says you've got to listen to this podcast. And so I started listening and thought, you know, I've tried everything else. Brandy may be my saving grace. Okay.

Let's, uh, let's definitely look at this. And, uh, out of curiosity, what if you are your saving grace? And that's probably it. It's something with mindset. Okay. So, uh, all right. So, uh, so how long have you been experiencing the tremors? They started, I had two traumatic incidents in 2021 in March. Um, our dogs had just had a litter and the female got mad at the male and I tried to stop the fight and I got bit, um, which broke one of the bones.

in my hand. By the way, the tremors make me sound like I'm out of breath sometimes, so I apologize. The, um, and ended up with a bacterial infection. And then literally six months to the day later, um, I had just bought a brand new, beautiful sports car and somebody pulled out in front of me, totaled my car and the airbag went off and shattered my.

Right wrist. So the first one was my left hand. The second one was my right hand. So after another six months of recuperation the hands and the wrist are Better they're not back to normal, but they're better but the tremors started as Just my pinky finger and then it was my whole right hand Then it was both hands, then it was the legs, and now it includes the jaw, which is why I sound funny.

I don't know where that, I would have said you sound funny, but I get it, um, I get it. And uh, here we go. Let's, let's dive in, shall we? Please. Great. So if I ask you zero to ten, how bad do you feel like your tremors are right now? Zero to ten. What would you say? Uh, I'd say right now they're probably at about an eight.

They increase when I get a little excited or anxious about something. Okay. Okay. And, uh, so give me one second and, um, all right, so I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe and if I ask you how much you can find the feeling of feeling like you need to protect yourself. Zero to ten, how much can you find that feeling?

Uh, nine. So I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe, and I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to relax. Now, I want you to think about, just for a moment, if somebody's going through life and they feel a level nine of feeling like they need to protect themselves, how, how much are they enjoying life?

How good does that feel to them? Um, it's a constant fear of what's, what's next, what, what do I need to, and unfortunately, it's not just protecting myself. It's sometimes protecting my kids and family around me. So I'm going to ask you to breathe. And if it feels a little bit like I'm interrupting you, I am on purpose.

So because I don't want you to make the tremors go up. So I'm going to ask you to breathe. And so, I want you to think about, for a moment, if I ask you, how much would you say that you feel like your husband can enjoy life? What would you say? Uh, I'd say nine or ten. Okay. And would you say that it would be even better for him if he was in protective mode of feeling like he needed to defend himself and feeling afraid and feeling this nervousness of what's going to happen next and in that fear state?

Um. No. Okay. Well, what did you say would be better for your kids to live in that fear state? No. Okay. It's not good for anybody. Including me. I said it's not good for anybody to live in that state, including me. Right? So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe, and if I ask you how much you believe that your thoughts help create your life, what would you say?

100%. 100%. And I'm going to ask you to breathe, and ask you just for a moment to take in that awareness that your thoughts, 100%, they help create your life. They help create your life. And I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe, and I want you to think about Are you sure you really really really really want to keep the fear and say what's gonna happen next and keep the fear of what's gonna happen next are you sure you want to keep that feeling or Are you sure it's not better if you let it go.

I want to let it go. What's that? I said, I absolutely want to let it go Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, and I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe Bingo. And I'm going to ask you to breathe. Now, by the way, for your kids, if they're enjoying life, if they're positive, if they're happy, if they're feeling good, if they're feeling safe, that's good for them, right?

Yes. Great. So I'm going to ask you to breathe and I'm going to ask you to take in the feeling that you are changing, that you are changing. You're being a role model. You're saying, you know what? Our thoughts help create our lives. I'm really going to make this change. I'm really going to make this change.

Real, real, real, real, real change, not fake change. Real change and I'm gonna actually start expecting great things to happen and positive things to happen and I'm gonna ask you to breathe And I'm going to ask you just for a moment to take that in, that you're willing to change. You're genuinely, genuinely willing to change.

How much are you willing to change, by the way? 100%. 100%. Great. So I'm going to ask you to breathe, and I want you to notice the level in your tremor. Zero to ten, what's your level? Uh, it's probably still a seven. Bingo. Okay. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. I would have said about a, I would have said about a six.

I would say they, they feel like they went down about 0. 8, but, but yeah, somewhere in there, but I'm with you. Um, so give me one second. Okay. Now I want you to notice the feeling of feeling like you're not allowed to have good things. Can you find that?

All right. So let's go ahead and pause it just for a quick moment. You know, first and foremost, she's such a sweetheart and I love her self awareness, her self honesty, just beautiful and something I want to point out here, you know, as I was telling her that, you know, she's committed to making that change to really making that shift.

Now, when I was saying that. It might sound like I'm saying, you just have to be really, really determined and you really just have to really just shift, just think differently and just feel differently. And yes, that is part of what I'm saying, but it is definitely not all. All of what I'm saying, because from that, it might sound like I just tell her, you know, get determined and, and do it.

However, I want you to notice when I just said to her, can you see the part of you who feels like you're not allowed to have good things? And my point from that is this. is that our emotions are not straightforward. So somebody could say, okay, well, I'm going to get myself all excited and really be happy and expect positive things.

But if you simultaneously have an underlying subconscious feeling that says, oh, I don't deserve good things, then that is going to block you. from really making the change. So I just want to point that out because when I'm working with the mind, I do so in a very, very, very specific way. And it may not always seem like it.

It might seem sometimes like I have this feeling that just says, just push through. But that's not it. Yes, it takes effort. Yes, you want to be willing to change. Yeah, it takes effort. there can be a push to it of saying, okay, I'm ready to change. But there is also a very, very, very specific formula or awareness of layers of emotions on how they impact you and how they might keep you from really feeling good about the future.

So in her case, being able to even feel good about the future also requires her to be willing to change. Feel like she's allowed to receive and so that's part of where we're going as we step back in with beautiful Jamie. Here we go

Yeah, if I ask you zero to ten how much you can find that feeling Probably an eight. So I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe and I Absolutely agree and your kids shouldn't be able to have great things in life either, right? No, they should. Well, I mean, they shouldn't be able to, right? They shouldn't be able to have great things in life, right?

No, as a mother, I want them to have the best in life. Okay, great. So if I ask you why you shouldn't be able to have great things in life, why is that? I believe I should have great things in life, but unfortunately I was told for so many years things like that don't happen to us. You know, parental words that I tell my kids they deserve the best in everything.

But unfortunately that wasn't told to me, so overcoming old programming. Okay, so I'm going to ask you to breathe. So, right? Overcoming old programming. And if I ask you, by the way, zero to ten, if I ask you, how hard are you on yourself? Ten. Ten, fifty, somewhere in there, right? Yeah, yeah. Yeah? So I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe, and I'm gonna ask you just for a moment if you are actually willing to change.

If you are willing to change and be nicer to yourself. Yes. So ask you to breathe. If you are willing to change, genuinely change. Now, if I ask you right now, your level and your tremor, zero to ten, what's your level? Uh, six. Okay, so I would set it about a five. So we're tracking, we're tracking. But you notice a little bit of a shift, right?

Yeah. Okay, so I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. Bingo. If I ask you zero to ten, how guilty you felt about the sports car? Zero to ten. Uh, ten, guilty that I had it or guilty that I lost it in the accident? Well, both, but, uh, initially, how guilty you feel like because you had it. What would you say?

Actually, ironically, I didn't feel guilty. I deserved it, I felt, because I had worked hard and earned it. Okay. And if I ask you, what did your mom say about the sports car? Um, I haven't spoken to my mom for many years. Okay, and if I ask you, what do you think your mom would have said about the sports car?

She would have said I spent too much on it. Bingo. Okay, so I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. And if I ask you zero to ten, how much you felt that feeling like you spent too much on it? Uh, probably an eight or nine. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. And I want you to notice, now is it true, I mean you don't really want your kids to grow up and have the car that they want, right?

Yes, I do. What? I want them to have whatever they want. Great, so I'm going to ask you to breathe, and could you be a great role model then? Yeah. Great, so I'm going to ask you to breathe. So if your daughter, or if one of your kids, if one of your kids grew up and they bought that car for themselves. Would you say that they should feel guilty that they spent too much on themselves, or would you say that they could feel good about that?

As long as they can afford it, they should feel good about it. Okay, so I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe.

All right. So let's go ahead and actually pause the session right here. You know, first and foremost, I just love her self honesty. I love her self awareness. And I also just love her love for her kids. You know, just feeling that in her energy, her heart is just so beautiful. So I love that. And I want to pause the session right here because.

So often people have these patterns of feeling like they don't deserve to receive in life. And it's not necessarily just money, but it could be, but it can be love. It can be nurture. It can be happiness. It can be enjoying life. And so what will happen is people will be struggling to try to be happy, to be healthy, to heal themselves, to have a great life.

And yet, simultaneously. don't feel like they deserve it at all, in which case life can feel like a major struggle. And so for that reason, I actually want to pause it right here. And I want to invite you to take some time this week to actually Take in the feeling that you do deserve to receive, that you deserve to receive happiness and love and a great life and feel that.

And so that's one thing. Now, the second important insight from this is, you know, notice that she kind of implied and that, you know, her parents didn't like her. way. They didn't give her that feeling of feeling like she deserved it. And the thing of it is, is that we all come in with patterns. That is part of our job here.

Just like we're learning how to walk, we learn how to run, and we learn how to speak and talk and write and all of these things, learning how to use our energy, how to rewire our minds, how to grow, how to transform. I mean, that is so important. Part of our goal here, that is part of our growth, our evolution.

And I mean, if you think about it for a moment, a tree comes here, or a plant, and what does it do? It continues to grow its entire life. It continues to grow. And so we as human beings, yes, we get to a certain height and we stop physically growing. You know, for the most part, we're not growing taller or whatnot.

We're continuing to grow spiritually and our energy and transform. And so that is part of our journey here. And every single one of us comes in with patterns that we need to learn how to transform. And so if you have a part of you, who's really frustrated with your parents because of the patterns that you got from them, just remember.

That they got them from their parents, and their parents, and their parents, so they have their own set of patterns. And so it would be impossible for them to give you patterns. Perfect, no patterns, because they have their own things too, you know? And by the way, ultimately where you want to get to a point of where you feel like you're great at programming your mind, and you know, wouldn't it be amazing if everybody was in that place where you could find subconscious programming and you could transform it and it felt good.

And when you do, and you, you know, release old patterns and transform that, it really does feel incredible. Now, I say that. Because I am where I am now, and I can do that, but in the past, when I was going through my injury, you know, I very much remember feeling that feeling of, you know, just give me a break, universe, divine, God, body, energy, whatever it is, that's how, that's where I was at at that point.

I was frustrated, just wanting change, and the way you want to think about it is like this. Is it if you type on a computer, and you're hitting all of the wrong keys, and you're frustrated, and you're hitting all of the wrong keys, and you say, well, just, just, Give me, have mercy and do the right thing. The computer is not going to do that.

It can't. That's not the way it works. And so similarly, when we're working with our subconscious mind programming, getting frustrated and upset and just wanting mercy or just, you know, wanting that doesn't work. Believe me, I tried that. I was like, please. I was like, I was in a place of begging the universe, God, divine, whatever you want to call it.

Please. I just want. Change, please. I just want to heal. I tried that for quite a while. It didn't work. But I did figure out, of course, the answers. So I'll say that it worked in a way where I got more and more of the answers and was able to figure it out. But my point is, is very simply. If you have patterns, you won't want to be frustrated at yourself or universe or your parents or anybody.

But instead, make sure to come from a place of empowerment and feeling calm and not being frustrated even with yourself, being kind to yourself. And instead, really transforming your mindset, reprogramming. your mind. That is what's key for getting real, tangible results. All right, so those are the insights from today, and as far as the taking in the awareness, the shift from today is, again, I want to invite you to take in that feeling that you do deserve to receive, and feeling that, and bringing that energy into your being to start making that shift, to start bringing in that awareness, and even just start noticing, is there something that you really need to reprogram.

At a deeper level, you know, is there a part of you who feels like you're not allowed to receive love or that your parents would be mad if you received X, Y, Z, whatever that might be, whatever that feeling is, the biggest thing you'll want to remember is to be real with what's real. So if you have subconscious programming that you know is there.

Make sure to transform it, because that's when the magic occurs. That's when you can heal yourself, change your life. That's the key. You know, that's when you feel empowered and you feel like, okay, you're really making the changes. All right. In our world, the better this world is for all of us.
