Hello and welcome. It is so wonderful to connect with you. I just love that you are here, continuing to expand your mind, your energy, your consciousness, your healing. I just love it. And I just love today's episode. You know, each episode just has its own unique charm. twist, turn, or insight that can help provide you with powerful information to be able to uplift your health, your life, your happiness, your quality of life, and what's fun about today's episode is that instead of having one volunteer, today I'll be working with a married couple, and it's really beautiful because today we're in their connection, they're working on success together.
They're working on expanding their success, making more money, enjoying life even more together. And I just, I love the, the insights, the powerful insights that come from today's episode. And that said, the couple that we're working with, his name is Scott and her name is Sarah, and, you know, they're just so sweet.
They're so sweet. And don't get me wrong. They've got their challenges that come up. And they've got some things to work on. And so it's just beautiful. And I'm telling you ahead of time, you're just going to love them. They're just. They're lovely and wonderful. And so on that note, let's go ahead and dive in with Scott and Sarah.
Here we go.
How's your day going, Brandy? Oh, fantastic. Thank you. How's yours? Not too bad with work, but I just want to lock in and focus here for you. And, uh, and what do you do with work? So I, um, I'm a recruiter. I guess that's, that's part of why I'm on here today. Um, for recruits specifically for, uh, manufacturers, um, all different types of positions.
And, uh, it's, it's kind of like the wild, wild west. Um, I knew it was a very tough. Uh, job going into it, um, beginning of 2024 will be two years in it, but I've, uh, I've kind of gone back and forth over the last couple, a few months. And, um, it just, it doesn't seem like a great fit for me. Uh, last year was a decent first year and I can do the work.
I've seen some success, but it's, uh, it's difficult, uh, on a full commission. when you go, uh, several, several months without making money when you're putting in, you know, 40, 50 plus hours a week. So it's been, uh, it's been a little crazy this year. And, um, I, uh, I tend to go introspective and really. pray and ask God or the universe for, uh, for guidance and clarity.
I think I'm, uh, I'm starting to get that a bit and, uh, maybe I stick with this job a little bit longer, see where it goes. Um, you know, I, I, I kind of end up back here and, and, uh, something happens or I, you know, my, my mind just goes, it just feels like it's, it's not a good fit for me. So. Okay. Um, Okay, I hear you and I'm going to just check into that for a second.
Is that okay with you? Of course. Great, great, great. Um, give me one second. And, uh, yeah, and out of curiosity. Okay, so I want to dive into that really quickly. And are you also experiencing physical pain as well? Um, or is that Sarah, who is, or that's, that's, that's mainly Sarah, Sarah. Yeah, why don't you chime in?
I think, hi, Brandy. I think, um, I think more so career, career things with, it's, I don't know, more financial career things for the, for the both of us, I guess a little bit, it seems like there's similar patterns of, of unclarity, potentially with that, but, um, honestly, we're open to whatever you To whatever, you know, because mainly it is, um, we feel financially just stuck and, you know, so, so yeah.
Okay, so, um, all right. So, uh, so let's go ahead and dive in. And I, I, I have to say first and foremost, I love that you guys are working on this journey together. It's so sweet. I love it. I love the teamwork. It's just really beautiful. So Scott, I'm going to go ahead and check into your energy. So give me one second.
Great. And, um, all right. So first and foremost, if I ask you, Scott, if I ask you how much you can find the feeling in the pattern of feeling a bit self critical, how much would you say that is? Oh, I think I can be pretty self critical at times. Yeah. Okay, so, you know, there's also a pattern, so I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe.
There's also, there's a feeling of not liking money. Can you see that? Um, that does not resonate with me, Brandy. I, um, I would say that at least I feel like I, I do like money and I, I really look forward to the day where, um, I have, I have more of it. Um, I've expressed to Sarah that. Uh, you know, I, I certainly don't want to put a cap on what I can earn.
Um, I just, yeah, I kind of grew up living paycheck to paycheck and had a good upbringing, but, um, I know I, I would say that I do like money and I look forward to making more of it. Bingo. Okay. Um, bingo. So I'm going to, uh, hold that thought for just a moment. Okay. And, uh, Sarah, are you there? Yes. Uh, so I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe.
Bingo. And if I ask you zero to ten, how much you can find a feeling of feeling guilt around money? Zero to ten, what would you say your level is? Maybe a four. Okay. So, uh, so I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. I love your self awareness. Bingo. That's what I would have, I would have said about a six right in there.
So we're, we're close right in there. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. Bingo. And if I ask you the idea of spending money on yourself, if I ask you how that feels, uh, to spend money on yourself, what would you say? Um, I would say I always, any, anytime I do, I always get really, uh, nervous and anxious and even very sweaty when I do.
And I've been trying to work on that. Um, but I do, I feel guilty when I, when I spend money on myself. Bingo. Okay. Absolutely. And if I ask you zero to ten, you spending money on yourself, how much that makes you feel guilty? What would you say? Uh, I would say a ten. I would agree. I would agree. I love your self awareness.
So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe.
All right, so let's go ahead and pause it just for a quick moment, you know, first and foremost, I love her self awareness. I love his self awareness. They're just beautiful. What a beautiful, beautiful couple. And as far as the topic of guilt with money, we are going to expand on this even more because This is something that comes up for people so often.
And what happens many times is people will then feel the feelings of guilt, but then they'll justify it, but then they feel bad about it. But there's that voice inside that says, no, but I can because of X, Y, Z. And what happens is both emotions are there. There's that feeling of guilt with justifying. And so if you're experiencing that in your life, you'll also want to change that.
And the reason I bring that up is because sometimes people will say, well, yes, I feel guilty initially, but then I justify it, or then I rationalize it to myself, and then I feel okay. And then I feel good. But to create a real change in your life, it can't be an afterthought. that you fix. It must be your organic, initial, knee jerk response.
And that is something that is regarding any topic that you're wanting to manifest in life. Whether it's health, or whether it is financial and success, or love, relationships, whatever it is, Your initial first response is the energy that you're sending out. Now, if you recall the last IQ episode, you'll recall, we were talking about emotions versus feelings, and we were talking about what is that subconscious programming, that emotion, that energy in motion, that's what you want to change.
Because when you really change yourself at your core and your subconscious programming, that's what you when real change occurs. So, we are going to unpack this topic even more at the end, but I just wanted to note that if you are experiencing these emotions, but then you find yourself justifying them and trying to change them after the fact, then you'll want to make sure to address them in your life as well.
And we'll talk about some ways to do that coming up. All right. So let's go ahead and dive back in with beautiful Scott and Sarah. Here we go.
And if I ask you how old you were when you learned to feel guilty about receiving and guilty about spending money on yourself, how old were you when this pattern started? Um, it's coming up in college, like, uh, between Around freshman year, maybe, or going into college, maybe. There you go. Okay. And, um, bingo.
Now give me one second. Okay, so I even see even sooner than that, even as far as, uh, even at like age seven. Uh, give me one second. Bingo. There's a feeling of feeling like you're not supposed to want things. Can you see that? Yes, definitely. Okay, so notice it makes complete sense that we're supposed to come to this world and not want anything.
We're supposed to manifest and create our lives, but yes, do not want anything. Yeah. Yes. And then also the universe basically put kangaroos here and then said, don't. Okay. That's funny. So I'm going to ask you to breathe and it would make complete sense. And then it universe put fish here and then said, but don't swim.
And then, you know, you here, but here you can manifest, but don't want anything. It's bad to do that. Right. Right. Yeah. All right. So give me one second. And if I ask you just for a moment to bring in a feeling of self awareness, of appreciating self, okay, and appreciating your self awareness. And I want you to notice for a moment, of course you can receive, feeling good to receive, feeling good to receive, just like a fish can swim, a kangaroo can jump, um, we're here, we have the ability to manifest, and allowing yourself to manifest and receive, right?
Right. Great. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. Okay? Great. And taking that feeling in.
All right. So let's go ahead and pause it. Now, first and foremost, I just love her self awareness. I love her self honesty. Just really, really beautiful. And I also want to go ahead and pause the session right here, because I know for so many people, the feeling of being able to receive is one that is blocked.
A lot of people have that feeling of feeling guilty for receiving or that it's selfish to receive. And then they live their life in that way where then they're struggling and they're stressed about being able to have enough or stressed about finances or even receiving love. Because receiving doesn't just mean towards money.
It can be towards love. It can be towards happiness. It can be towards anything. And so for that reason, I want to go ahead and again, I want to pause the session here. And I want to invite you to work on these two things, which are one, the feeling and the willingness to be able to receive. So that's one thing.
And then the other thing is that we talked previously about the feelings of guilt for spending money on yourself or doing things for yourself. And I want to go ahead and unpack this a bit more because this one can be actionable Meaning that sometimes people will have a feeling of guilt because it's a pattern, you know, they continue to get stuck in this pattern.
And what happens is this, is a lot of times our patterns can become a self fulfilling prophecy. For example, somebody who feels like they're going to fail and is really programmed for failure will end up taking the wrong actions to end up failing. failing, typically, or somebody who feels like they're always feeling rejected ends up either acting and behaving in a way to be rejected, or, you know, just ends up down that path or picking the wrong person or whatnot, but it ends up unfolding, it becomes that self fulfilling prophecy.
Now, the same thing is true with money, is that a person can feel guilty for spending money on themselves, and because they have this pattern, then things always come up where they feel guilty about it, and it can also be in your actions. And so that said, I want to invite you that if this is a pattern for you, I want to invite you to look at your patterns with money and think about how you can do it differently.
where you're not feeling guilty. And maybe what happens is maybe right after you get paid, you go spend a bunch of money and then you feel guilty about that. Or maybe in a relationship, you're feeling guilty towards your partner. Now, what you could do is you could each get a weekly allowance, so to speak.
If you're sharing finances with somebody and you're feeling guilty every time you spend money, then. by getting a, an allowance of what you want to spend, you know, so each person has a, a certain amount that they can spend. However, every week or every month or whatever that is, then what happens is then you can take that money and go spend it guilt free.
So that could be another option as well. And of course you might notice the feeling of guilt goes back to your childhood or patterns with money just in general. And so my point from this is I want to invite you to take a look at the bigger picture and notice, are you experiencing this in your actions or just in your emotional patterns or both?
Where is this showing up for you and be willing to change it? Because let's be honest, you know, we've even seen some recent episodes where there are people whose health is affected by this very thing. And all of the time, I've seen people who are having a lot of financial stress and it is impacting their health.
And so that's what I want to invite you to look at. Even if you say something like, well, money doesn't matter, it could be the very thing that is stressing you out, because then when it comes to paying bills or affording things or whatnot. It can cause a lot of stress or uncertainty or fear that is then impacting your health.
And so that's today's episode. Now I have to say, next week, we are going to dive into the rest of the session with Scott and Sarah, and there's some really wonderful relationship stuff that comes up, some support, success. I mean, just a lot of really beautiful. relationship insights and success insights and partnership insights.
