Welcome to Heal Yourself, Change Your Life. My name is Brandy Gillmore and after recovering from my own life changing injury, it's become my mission to share with others the same discoveries I made that changed my health and my entire life. Our minds are truly incredible. The placebo is proof of this.

Each week, I will take this simple awareness to a whole new level. I will even coach live callers to free themselves of physical pain using only their mind. And then I'll provide you with a combination of practical and spiritual insights that you can use to master your mind, your emotions, and your energy to help you heal your health, yourself, and your life.

Let's begin.

Hello and welcome to this week's quick IQ episode where we talk about insights and questions. And today I want to share with you a very powerful insight that can help you to create a radical shift in your life. And also, to help you get unstuck. If you've been stuck in a place where you're stressed or fearful, a lot of times there are certain things that you can do or look at in a certain way that can help you to start creating that shift.

And by the way, part of the reason that This topic comes up is because our podcast volunteers. So on my last podcast episode, 245, I worked with a beautiful volunteer who had stuck in a really hard place in life. And if you listen to that episode, you'll notice in it, She had had reduced eyesight. So she was technically, she had been legally blind in her left eye and reduced eyesight in her right eye.

And basically she had a lot of issues going on with her eyes. And so when her and I connected, we started working on showing her how to use her mind to start bringing back her eyesight, which I know for a lot of people may sound impossible, but If you think about it, even medical journals have shown that stress can impact our eyesight, but it happens more than most people, you know, realize.

But then, you know, but the, the key point you'll want to note from this is that as she started using her mind, in a specific way, she was able to start bringing back her eyesight. So if you listen to that episode, her eyesight came back at a level, at a level five in her left eye and 80 percent in her right eye.

So she was able to really start noticing a difference and seeing everything more clearly. And of course she did that. And as she worked with her mind, the goal was to bring it back even more and more and more, but that's what she was doing. Incredible job, just even a real time result. So that was really beautiful.

Now. The reason that I want to unpack that episode even more is because I know I make it look very easy for people to get results. I know, you know, people release their pain in minutes under medical equipment and I know it, I make it look very easy and I always just want to emphasize that there's a depth to it and there's a heart behind every change.

And what I mean by that is this. Is that, you know, when I was going through my own injury, I was very stuck. I was in a hard place. I was fearful. I was stressed. And I was also in this place of, you know, blame for a while, you know, blaming the circumstances and my injury and the accident because, you know, long story short, if with my injury, you know, I used to do network engineering operations, was injured.

Wheelchair, Walker, Kane. I had an accident. Technically, I had two accidents. A car accident and then a fall and I was stuck in that place of blame. You know, where I was angry at the situation. Now, let's be honest. If I spent my entire life injured and blaming others and saying, well, it was the accident and my doctors didn't do this and blah, blah, blah.

If I spent my entire life in that feeling, nobody would have blamed me. Everybody would have understood. They could have absolute compassion for my situation. You know, for me to say, well, I was in this accident and I went from living a full life to being injured. And that could have been my entire life.

Now, I, of course, got to a point where I didn't want blame. I didn't want to blame anybody. I didn't want to blame the accident. I didn't want to blame my doctors. All I wanted to do was get better. And so I stopped blaming and I took my power back. Now, when you think about it for a moment, when I empowered myself and I said, okay, let me figure this out.

I can heal myself. You know, it, it was a radical shift. Now, of course, if you heard my story, you know, I was looking at medical journals and looking at how to heal and, and really researching the mind. My point from this. Is that I had to give up blame to do it. I had to give up blame towards others. And I had to give up blame towards myself of feeling bad.

And, and, you know, all of the things, you know, you want to blame doctors. You want to blame others. You want to blame life, circumstances, conspiracy theories. I did all of those things and blaming the circumstance and then the medical community, and then the pharmaceuticals, and then the this and then the that.

Like I went down that whole road. And then I had to get myself out of that and just say, I'm not going to blame anybody. Instead, I'm going to step into empowerment. I'm the power. Now, the reason I bring this up is again, a few reasons. First and foremost, it's easy to get stuck in those spirals of blame where we feel disempowered in life, where we want to blame circumstances or an ex or a boss or a partner or a past or a parent or a whomever.

Our circle, whatever it is, we want to blame and we get stuck there. We're powerless if we're blaming others. So that's one reason also, again, because the last episode, if you recall, our beautiful volunteer had that feeling of blame, not only of blaming others, but blaming self, blaming others, stuck in that feeling.

And I get it. I was there. I lived that. I lived it firsthand. And so I know what it also takes to be willing to change. And first and foremost, is of course the awareness that you're doing it. You know, when I started realizing, the more I really, really, really realized that by blaming others, even if the situation felt real, that the more I blamed others, the more I gave away my power, the more it made me not want to do it.

And so I would say that was pivotal for me. Now, of course, it took getting it in, it took, uh, really immersing myself in the change and, and becoming the change, if you will, of saying, look it, I'm the power. Once I really, really got just how much that was true, I didn't, I didn't want to blame. I didn't want to blame.

I just wanted to heal, to live my life, to live my best life, to be happy, to be healthy, to be full of life, to love, to enjoy, to laugh, to, you know, just all of the things. And so I want to invite you from this to think about that whole Stuckness. And I want to invite you to ask yourself if there is an area of life that you might be blaming somebody.

And if so, could you take back your power? And would you like to take back your power? You know, and when we think about it for a moment, sometimes it feels very counterintuitive. I mean, in my own situation, I had had an accident, then a fall. And when you think about it for a second, like the accident wasn't my fault.

So it's easy to say, but it's their fault. It's their fault. And they did it. And they did it. It's, it's, it's that we can look at outside circumstances and we can feel that way. Or if you think about it all of the time, I use the unfortunate example of the woman with the abusive father and it's well known in psychology.

She could, the pattern can attract more of the same. So she could leave him and find the abusive boyfriend, boss, spouse, et cetera, et cetera, right. And of course we can have so much compassion. But that's what's called, it's called repetition compulsion, reenactments, attachment theory, law of attraction, re victimization, whatever you want to call it.

It has so many names. because we can see it in so many different ways. There's evidence of it. And so if you think about that situation where a woman has an abusive father and leaves him and finds an abusive boyfriend, boss, spouse, etc, etc. Of course, in that situation, she could keep blaming and say, but it's, it's my father who did it.

It's this man. It's my ex. It's this person. It's this person. It's this person. And we could all have absolute compassion because that's the experience and it looks, and it is. And we can look at the situation and we can feel, you know, so much compassion. And yet, when we stop and think about it, the more she blames, the more it fuels energy, the more she blames, the more it fuels energy and hurt and wounding.

Which just attracts more of the same. And of course, some people go in that situation, and they just blame themselves more, which does the same thing. It attracts more and more and more, and these situations, of course, can affect your health, your life, your happiness. I mean, any of these, any of these situations, just the situation of blame in general, where we feel powerlessness.

And so that's the insight that I want to invite you to because a lot of times when there's an area of life that we feel stuck in, there's an underlying feeling of blame or powerlessness. And when we start to pivot that, to really shift that, we can start to take our power back and instead say, okay, what is the pattern?

What do we need to change? What do we need to transform to really get where we want to go? How do we transform this pattern? And what pattern do we even want to change? And so that's what I want to invite you to look at from today's episode is exactly that. Is just, I want to invite you to look at your life and see if there's an area that is stuck.

And ask yourself, is there somebody that you're blaming in your life? And would you like to stop blaming them? And, if you're blaming yourself, so if that person you're blaming is you, could you also stop blaming yourself? And instead Move it forward, you know, move forward to a new vision of what it is that you are wanting and instead be committed to living your best life.

And so that's the insight that I want to invite you to look at because a lot of, for a lot of people, what happens, they blame somebody else, then they're blaming themselves and then they blame somebody else or, or maybe the common, a combination of both, which is exactly what was happening on the last episode.

As you recall, As I was working with her eyesight and helping to show her how to change and create the shift in her own health. As I was showing her how to do that, that's part of what came up was just anger and blame that she had had. And you know, just all this hurt. And of course, we can have compassion and yet moving it forward, you know, being willing to, to let it go.

and to change. And so instead of being stuck in the anger and the blame towards that other person, and then if you recall, it was also towards self as well as herself. And so getting out of that and saying, okay, I'm not going to blame. I'm not going to blame self. I'm not going to blame others. I'm just going to start.

Moving it forward. What do I really want from life? To start shifting. To start that shift. Now, of course, after you start that shift, it does take a real embodiment, a real rewiring and reprogramming at a deeper level of the mind. But, the first step that keeps most people stuck is some type of feeling of blame somewhere, some towards others or towards self.

And so that's today's quick insight is exactly that, is I want to invite you to look at this in your life and see if you can use this information to start getting yourself unstuck and start moving things in a better direction. All right, so that's today's quick insight. I want to ask you, please do take just a quick moment to hit the share button on this episode.

You know, share it with somebody who you love, somebody you care about or somebody you don't even know, because the more that every single person in our world, is empowered and happy and healthy and loved and loving.
