Welcome to Heal Yourself, Change Your Life. My name is Brandy Gillmore, and after recovering from my own life-changing injury, it's become my mission to share with others the same discoveries I made that changed my health and my entire. Our minds are truly incredible. The placebo is proof of this. Each week I will take this simple awareness to a whole new level.

I will even coach live callers to free themselves of physical pain using only their mind, and then I'll provide you with a combination of practical and spiritual insights that you can use to master your mind, your emotions, and your. To help you heal your health yourself and your life.

Let's begin.

Hello and welcome. It is so wonderful to connect with you. I just love that you are a beautiful soul who is on this journey of expanding your mind, your heart, your consciousness, your energy, your healing. I just love it. And you're going to love today's episode. It's just very insightful And the insights that are going to come from today's episode are really going to impact a lot of people.

What you'll notice is that you probably know somebody who is doing the same exact thing as today's volunteer has been doing with her mind that's been keeping her stuck. And this is going to be something that you may be doing as well, or Just the insight from today's episode will keep you from going down the wrong path that can create problems.

in your life. And you'll see what I mean as we dive in. And you know, I have to say, I feel so blessed. I just, we get the best podcast volunteers. You know, the universe just does this beautiful divine timing of the perfect message at the perfect time. And even if you think about last week's volunteer, Aline, I mean, just such a beautiful being and very intelligent.

And I want to share something with you that Aline said after our session, that was really profound. And it just also really touched my heart. I mean, she's such a beautiful being. And so I'm going to go ahead and read that to you. And she actually wrote it on Instagram and here we go. She said, Brandy. I had to come find you here, which was of course Instagram, and it continues on and she says, It has been just over a week since we talked.

So much is changing for me. I listen again and again and am going over your other podcasts. Your work is phenomenal, unusual, and real, and you've been right about the daily follow through for results. I'll update soon, XO. Thanks for helping me find me again. All of this pain for so many years, and suddenly, I am hearing it, and listening, and changing.

I want everyone to know you. And then she left a, you know, heart emoji. But when you stop and think about this for a moment, this is just so profound, and even in reading this, I mean, I have chills. And of course, it just, it touches my heart and it's profound for so many reasons. You know, when she said, thanks for helping me find me again, all of this pain for so many years and suddenly I am hearing it and listening and changing and I want the world to know.

Now, if you remember, and again, ah, just chill bumps, this is so profound for so many reasons. Now, if you think back to her episode, if you recall, She was somebody who had learned methods to work with the mind where it was all about, you know, kind of shutting it down, about telling yourself the pain isn't real and, you know, trying to get better at ignoring and ignoring and ignoring the pain.

Now, there are several problems with this method, but one of which is self awareness and personal growth and consciousness. Meaning this, meaning that we're living in a time where Consciousness, you know, becoming consciously aware and self awareness and personal growth are growing like crazy, which is awesome.

And then, there's this growing way simultaneously of working with the mind, where people are teaching things like, just tell yourself the pain isn't real, or distract yourself from it, or tell yourself that the pain is just your body, is misfiring. And so what's happening is that you're invalidating yourself, you're invalidating the body.

And so it's like trying to become self aware and have personal growth while simultaneously trying to become not self aware and shut it down. So it's impossible to become more conscious as you're also shutting down your Your consciousness simultaneously. It's like trying to become tall and short at the same time.

It's not going to work. And so that's unfortunately what more and more people are doing when they're working with the mind is they're saying, you know, oh, it's just my body misfiring or oh, it's just a chemical reaction happening in my body that I need to ignore because my body's just wrong and that's not going to work.

And that's what's happening, which of course, as we had talked about on last episode, it disconnects your mind, body, soul connection. And so what ultimately ends up happening is it leads to people losing themselves and they don't even realize it. And typically it just gets worse and worse and worse as time goes on, because then what happens with the brain is the brain says, Oh, Well, there's success, like if I just tell my body that it's not real and it starts to work, then what happens is the brain says, Oh, this is a successful way of being.

Let me just start automatically invalidating more and more things. And so the brain starts doing it automatically, quote unquote, for you. Just like if you think about tying your shoes, you know, at the beginning of the process, when you first learned to tie your shoes. It's a very conscious thing. You know, as a kid, you've got the bunny ears or whatever you call it.

And you've got to really think about tying your shoes. Then after a while, you just do it automatically without even thinking. Or another example that you've probably heard me use all of the time is even with driving. If you've ever driven somewhere before. And you got to the destination and you thought to yourself, Oh my God, did I stop at all the red lights along the way or the stop signs or whatever it was like, you notice that your brain kind of checked out consciously, but you were on autopilot.

And that's because our brains start working on autopilot. So then what happens is that when people do things like start invalidating the body and telling the body things aren't real and whatnot, then. The brain starts doing it on autopilot for you. It says, Oh, well, this is what I'm supposed to do. Okay, well, let me just get good at that.

And so the brain starts doing that and self awareness, consciousness, all of that. vanishes. You can't be self aware and conscious. Meanwhile, having the brain go on autopilot, invalidating or not wanting to see things that are painful. So you can't be conscious of it. And again, unfortunately, as we saw in the last episode, then the body only speaks louder.

Again, and reacts even more, so it backfires in another area of health, or life, or, you know, shows up unfortunately in one way or another, which we saw with Aline, and not only that. but you also feel like you lose yourself because you lose your own consciousness and That's why her message was just so profound.

Thanks for helping me find me again I mean just beautiful and I get chills every time I just read that and I also Totally get it because I had lost myself very much in going through my injury and also had tried, you know, invalidating everything and validating the pain and all of that stuff as well.

So I get it. And I still remember this moment after I had gotten better from my injury, where I was literally standing in my house at the end of the counter in the kitchen with my hand on the counter. And I stood there and it was just like this moment of absolute clarity. and consciousness and just like being present and it literally felt like I had been like asleep living for the past six and a half years almost seven years that my injury was and it just was this moment of absolute clarity of finding me.

And so anyways, I just had to share her comment because it's so profound. And I just really want to emphasize to you in this time of mindfulness, there are so many things people are trying to do with the mind. And the thing that you want to keep in your awareness is wholeness. Just because I do expect that by the way, that as mindfulness becomes more and more commercialized, because that's what's happening right now, you know, a bunch of people are just.

You know, creating apps who have no idea of working with the mind or people who are more scientific who are saying, okay, well, let's just invalidate the pain. Let's just do that. And let's program the brain to do that. Yeah. The only problem with that is yes, the pain and problems and ailments then just show up in different areas.

Like we saw on last week's episode. And it disconnects you from mind, body, and soul. Instead wholeness. You'll want to use your mind in a different way where you're not using things like distraction or telling yourself the pain isn't real, but understand that there is a message in that for you. It means that there is some type of programming of emotional pattern that is off at a deeper level.

And that when you really transform that emotional pattern, You transform your health, you transform your life. That is the key. You know, as you know, our thoughts help create our lives. And so when you really make that change, there's a gift in it also. And so you want to make transformation, the goal, you know, really looking at something bigger.

on the inside and realizing, yes, it needs to change instead of checking out, ignoring it, invalidating it, pretending it doesn't exist, all of those things. And I do want to warn you that unfortunately, likely, this is probably going to get a lot worse in our culture just because we're at this place where mindfulness is being very commercialized and it's forgetting the spirit and the connection of the human being of mind, body, and soul.

Not only that, but of course, many people are doing another thing, distracting and checking out, you know, with things like video games or TV or anything they can think of to kind of also distract themselves from life or the way they're feeling and whatnot. And, by the way, I'm not criticizing them at all, you know, these were some of the mistakes that I made.

on my own healing journey before I realized, Oh, this backfires and shows up in a not great way. And of course there's also the gift in it. When you look at what is really off, what is the emotional connection or the emotional pattern that's going on in the subconscious mind that is connected to the ailment, to the pain, to the issue, and you really change it.

There's a life changing gift And we're going to unpack that even more. We have another incredible volunteer today, Carrie, who also just has amazing insights, amazing self awareness, this beautiful, beautiful woman, and we'll unpack the gift even more as we're going through her session today. And also there are a lot of really profound, common issues that come up.

As I'm working with Carrie. So this will be very insightful and very helpful for a lot of people and also for others. This is going to be very, very helpful of something you'll want to make sure to protect your mind against. So you'll see what I mean as we dive in just very, very profound. And on that note, let's go ahead and dive in with our beautiful volunteer, Carrie, here we go.

Hello, Carrie. Yes, that's me. That's you. Well, it's wonderful to connect with you. How's your day? Good. I'm, this is so exciting. I'm a little overwhelmed. It's like, you were such a, it was such a wonderful thing to watch your TED Talk at that time of my life and just really grateful. Oh, I love that. Thank you.

That touches my heart and you're amazing. It's wonderful to connect with you and, uh, what can I help you with today? So, um, I think the main issue is, um, okay, so about 20 ish years ago, I had a traumatic kind of event, a religious trauma event. And my, I've had a three day panic attack, and then I had chronic pain in my stomach, solar plexus area.

Um, And that's been there ever since. And, um, it's still there and it's, uh, it's, it affects things like breathing and lying down on my back at night. So my, I get very panicky when I lie down on my back. Um, I often go into like triggering events during the day, like my palms will sweat and it's definitely taken a serious toll on my life, my relationships, my work.

And things like breathing is challenging, sometimes not, not overly so, but it's, it's like a, you know, kind of a mini panic attack when you're just, you just feel like you can't quite breathe. And it's just the tension in the stomach. That's the main thing and I think is really the core. Uh, three and a half years ago, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, um, and that started with some numbness.

So for a long time, it wasn't really as big of an issue, but, um, in October, um, I had an exacerbation where a lot of pain came. And so I have some, uh, chronic pain in my legs now and, uh, burning feelings. It's tension, um, and, uh, my neck and other parts of my body. Okay. So, yeah. That's kind of what's going on.

Well, that's not fun. No. I don't recommend that to anybody, except for the breathing part. I do recommend that. Um, and I'm going to ask you to breathe, and you said, uh, that it was great to watch my TED Talk during what time? You said that time in your life. Yeah. That's it. That time in October, I had this, um, exacerbation and it was really scary because I, for the first time I realized I could be in a wheelchair and, um, you were in a wheelchair in your TED talk and you got out of it and it was just really, it was like, Oh, there's a hope.

Yeah, there is, there is, there is. And I've seen people do amazing things. So all the time, all the time, even MS. So, uh, so I love that you're here and, uh, game on, right? Here we go. Okay, so if I ask you the level of pain and burning feelings in your legs. Uh, right now, what would you say your level of pain is just in your body, uh, in general?

Um, I'd say it's about a 4 or 5. Bingo. Got you.

Bingo. And if I ask you, bingo, that's 5. 3, so I'm, I'm with you. And if I ask you where you're feeling it the most at, where would you say that is? Um, the most like poignant is in my, my, my gut, my stolar plexus, like right above my belly button. Um, but there's this kind of background of just soreness, like I worked out for like hours and hours in my legs.

Um, and so that's also there and there's like a little bit of burning and tingling and weakness feeling there too. Okay, so if I ask you, bingo. Okay, so if I ask you as far as the level that you're aware of in your legs, what is that level? And that number is for, more for you than me, but if I ask you to notice what level you would give it, what level would you say that is?

Um, I'd say it's like a four and a half. Bingo. Alright. So, um, Bingo. Okay. And I laughed at what your body said, and I'll tell you what that is in a second. But it's not, the four and a half wasn't funny. So, sorry. Interesting timing. I was checking into, so, uh, so technically this is what it said. Um, and I'll tell you transparently, there's, so I'm gonna ask you to breathe.

So, and I want you to find the feeling to this, but it, it, it said, so, there's a feeling, yes, and you know, is, it, it said, shit's about to hit the fan, um, do you know that feeling? Yeah. And if I ask you, zero to ten, how much you can find that feeling, how much can you find that feeling? Um, maybe a six. Six bingo exactly.

So that was the I was like, okay, what's the feeling and that's what it told me It was like shit's about to hit the fan and that's what made me like Uh, it was like the way the way that your body said it. Uh, so i'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe and what if Stuff's actually about to get really good.

What if life was actually about to get better?

I want to believe it. Okay, so i'm gonna ask you to breathe

Okay, so go there first, there first, okay. So there is a feeling of feeling really angry at life, like, feeling of angry at life. Can you find that? Yep. Yeah. And if I ask you zero to ten, how much would you say that is? Oh God, it's like at a nine pretty much every day. Okay, so I'm going to ask you to breathe.

Breathe. Breathe.

All right. So let's go ahead and pause it just for a quick moment. You know, first and foremost, I just love her. I mean, beautiful self awareness and also notice that there's a tenderness and these Pretty heavy emotions that she's talking about and yet she's, you know, kind of laughing a bit and of course we know that there's a lot of hurt and a lot of fear and a lot of different emotions going on underneath and the thing that I want you to notice from this is it's a good balance and it's this.

It's that she's not using the laughing to not pay attention to the emotions. So notice we are You Talking about the specific negative emotions. We are taking inventory of them and noticing what's there. So that is a key part and another key part of the laughing ish, you know, the lightness of it is that also that she's not going so deep into into the emotions where she's really heavy inside of them.

So that's kind of the reason that I'm keeping a lightness with her about them and that's what you're gonna want to do also with yourself because if you're noticing negative emotions, and you're going way deep into into the negative, you're going to be less resourceful. Meaning this, you know, you may have heard me use on a past episode, the example of, you know, if a woman walks into a room and she's really, really, really upset, or even a man who walks into a room and he's really, really, really upset.

And you try to talk to either of them. How does it go? Typically not so well, you know, they don't want to hear what you have to say or they're frustrated and they might even get mad at you. But if they were to calm down, then typically they'll be a lot more resourceful and even more open-minded to different solutions.

So this of course, is where you would like to keep your mind when doing self work is, you know, if you go way, way into the emotions. It's going to be harder for you to access resourceful consciousness. So that's what I call it as ARC. A R C is Accessing Resourceful Consciousness. Is the more you're able to work with your mind to calm your emotions and come from that state of mind, The more successful that you're going to be in being able to look at patterns and truly transform them and that's of course when they become life changing and so point here is just that yes There's a bit of lightness and we're not distracting from what's actually going on And we're also not going deep into the negative either instead We're looking at it and by the way, that's a lot of times why you'll notice That I'll interrupt somebody is because I already know what they're about to say and where they're about to go and they're about to go Into all of that negativity which will make it hard or even impossible For them to shift if their mind is deep into that negative space.

So that's something again You'll just want to remember with yourself is the more that you can keep a lightness in working with yourself, the better and easier it will be for you to be able to create that transformation in your own life. All right. So that said, let's go ahead and dive back in with Carrie.

Bingo. And now when I was going through my injury, I remember specifically saying to myself, wait a second, if how life, how I feel about life is how life is going to feel about me, I better change this really fast. Okay. Because at the time I did not feel great about life, but thinking about the awareness that all change starts from within, it's like everybody wants change and they want, they say, okay, well, once life gives me everything I want, then I'll be happy once this happens, then I'll be happy, but it's the opposite way.

You've got to create that change on the inside. Does that make sense? Mm hmm. Yeah. Okay, so I'm gonna ask you to breathe, and I'm gonna push and be a little bit silly, okay? And I'm gonna ask you to breathe, and I'm gonna say, so you could go ahead and feel frustrated and angry at life, and let me know how that goes for you.

Or you could bring this into your awareness, and you can say, you know what, I'm gonna change this. I'm really gonna change this, because the truth of it is, most people aren't creating that change on the inside first, right? Mm hmm.

Okay, so that means you have to do, you have to be willing to do things differently than others, right? Okay, so you have to be willing to do things different than others, right? Yeah. So I'm going to ask you to breathe, and I know it sounds backwards to start feeling better about life now, but you've got to remember, you've got to do things different.

If you want a different result from other people, you've got to be willing to do things different, right? So I'm going to ask you to breathe. And I'm gonna ask you, do you want to feel angry about life, or are you willing to start letting that go? Are you willing to ease that off? Are you willing to breathe?

Are you willing to start letting that go completely and stop feeling angry? Stop any feelings of feeling pissed off or upset and going, you know what? I get it. I get it. You're kind of like this, right? Have you ever seen that before? with kids When they're, like, maybe in third grade, fourth grade, you might have done this, where there's a fire drill.

And it's like, the alarm goes off, and it's like, you line up, single file, and calmly exit the building, right? Mm hmm. Now, if everybody panics, how does it go? Not great. Not great, okay. So I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe, and I want to remind you of what you learned in third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, probably, that, that fire drill.

Okay, so if you panic it will not go great if you freak out if you're Stressed and you're angry and you're frustrated and you're mad. It will not go great. It's just how it is, right? So i'm gonna ask you to breathe

bingo So i'm gonna ask you to breathe and i'm gonna ask you to remind your mind That I get it. I understand I hear you been there done that obviously different situation and I had to stop panicking I had to be willing to change so i'm gonna ask you to breathe and i'm gonna ask you are you willing to change?

Yes Really?

Really? How much? I think a one or two. Awesome. I want to, I want to, I want to change. Great. Well, I mean, you could hang on to the anger. I mean, you're the power. You're the power here. You could hang on to it if you want. You could be upset. You could be pissed. You could say, this isn't fair and I'm so mad.

And you could do all of that if you want. You could have a tantrum. Nobody would stop you. I'm gonna tell you, it just wouldn't go well. Yeah. So I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe. Bingo. And if I ask you zero to ten, what the level in your legs are, what's your level?

Uh, I don't know. Maybe a level of a four, three or four. Bingo. So I have about a left leg, I have about a two. Right leg I have about a four. So three or four is, you see the difference between the two? Mm hmm. Okay. So I'm gonna ask you to breathe. And uh, bingo. That, that, that, that. That, that, that. Bingo.

Bingo. Alright, so I'm going to ask you to breathe.

And I'm going to ask you to notice the part of you that blames yourself for everything. Can you find that? Yeah. Zero to ten, how much? A lot. I think a nine. Nine? Okay. I would have said 50, but we'll go with your nine. I was going to say 10, but I thought it was too much. I was going to say 500, but I went with 50.

So we're all good. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe.

And when you stop and think about how powerful your energy is, and you think about the awareness that blaming yourself is a lot like punching yourself in the face, energetically speaking, of course. How much of your life would you like to spend punching yourself in the face? Zero. Great. So I'm gonna ask you to breathe.

And so, how much of your life would you like to spend blaming yourself for things? Which is again, essentially like punching yourself in the face. So how many, like, what if you only blame yourself for like, and punch yourself in the face for like five more years? Or ten? No thanks. So I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe.

Like 20 years? I'm alright. You alright? Yeah. Zero. Great, so I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe. I'm going to ask you to breathe.

I'm going to ask you to breathe. And, uh, fat, fat, fat, bingo. So I'm going to ask you to breathe. Bingo. If I ask you to notice the level in your legs, what's the level in your legs? Um, they feel more tingly than in pain. Um, very, very tingly, but not as much pain. So they're changing. Who's doing that? Yeah.

Right. So I'm going to ask you to breathe. Okay. So are you willing to create more change? Yes. Really? Yes. Okay. I like that. So I'm going to ask you to breathe. And there's like this feeling of feeling like, um, bingo. Pissed off at God, universe, divine. Can you see that? Yeah. What, what, like, like, not like pissed, like rage upset.

Can you see it? Yeah. Okay. Can you unpack that a little bit for me? What, uh, what happened? Why, why so upset for a long time? Just that it was so good and then it wasn't, and it's like, I can't get back to it and without being an authentic, um, uh, Just like no help from my previous person that was able to guide that and Just there's so much loss just so much loss about like there's such it was such a high there was so many good things so many amazing feelings so much love so much just synchronicity and beauty and Magic and now it's gone Just can't I can't access it.

Okay, and Bingo Bingo. Okay, so, uh, you can't access it. Alright, so, uh, I'm gonna ask you to break it down a little bit more. So, um, bingo. Alright, so there was just so much beauty, so much joy. Okay, so break that down a bit more. If you can spell it out a little bit more clearly, that would be great. Yeah, um, so, I was meditating in a certain way, and, um, wonderful things were happening, and then, I went to live with my meditation teacher and I started having these panic attacks.

Um, and certain, there were certain power dynamics that were scaring me and, um, I'd kind of given up everything to go live there and maybe become a nun and, um, and, uh, You know, it's kind, it's almost like he held the key to, to nirvana, to, to getting to the other side, so to speak, to ending suffering and, and, and to even have that experience to begin with.

And, um, and so he couldn't help me with the panic and the meditation was no longer working. And he tried another type of meditation and that wasn't working. And he's like, I don't know, he just started kind of making fun of me and I just was like, this isn't working. So I left and that's when I had the panic attack and the chronic pain started.

Um, okay. And that was how long ago? It's like 15, 20 years. About 20 years. Okay. And um,

bingo. Okay. And if I ask you to notice how much, uh, panic energy is in your body right now, zero to 10, what would you say? Probably like a six. So I'm gonna ask you to breathe. And if I ask you to notice the feeling of feeling like you want to leave earth behind. Zero to 10, what's the level? Um, yeah, it's pretty high.

I, I'd say like a seven mm-Hmm, . So, I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe, and I want you to picture what it would look like. Let's say you were walking around in, in life and life was amazing. Like the things that you were wanting were manifesting and people were just loving you, and you were loving them, and there was this beautiful connection and beautiful feeling.

feeling connected to people and, and you were loving just life and waterfalls and, and the ocean and mountains and experiences and connections with people and celebrations and the beauty of every morning sun and every sunset you watching it and just in love with life, right? How much would you want to leave life behind?

I wouldn't. What? I wouldn't. What? I wouldn't. What? Could I just say I wouldn't? Nope, nope, nope, nope. I don't want any but. I don't want any but. No, no, no. I keep interrupting the other part for a reason. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe.

So I'm going to say that again. If you were walking around, loving life, things were happening, they were manifesting, in the physical, they were met, like, and joyous experiences, and connections with people, and depth, and love, and celebrations, and laughing, and dinners, and connectedness, and Sunsets, and, and time on the lake, or the ocean, and connecting, and, and all of these things, and that was your life, and you watched even the sunset go down, and the way it does, just beautiful, and the sunrise in the morning, it just, it's all amazing, and I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe.

And if that was your life, are you sure you wanna go so far away from this world and leave it behind? Are you sure? Are you 100 percent sure? No. No. So I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe. And if I ask you to notice your level of panic in your body right now, 0 to 10, what's your level? Maybe a 4.

Maybe a 4, right? Okay. So I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe. And if you knew that your goal here, was actually to get good at mastering your energy and enjoying this physical experience. This, the present, the present and presence, and the present and presence of life. You felt like you were living with the presence all around you of life.

I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe.

And I want you to picture what it would look like to be really, really, really good at manifesting. Not really good at checking out or creating a euphoric feeling somewhere else, but you were actually really good at enjoying life. Enjoying life. Like, you were manifesting things and it was working and it was happening and it was amazing.

And I'm gonna ask you to breathe. And take that in. How would you feel about life? How would you really, like, come on, how would you really feel about life if you knew that there was a happiness, that there was a flow, that things were in flow, it was like all green lights, like, like it just felt like everything was in flow and people were kind and loving to you and it actually was working.

Yeah, pretty awesome. Great. So I'm going to ask you to breathe.

Beautiful. And I'm going to ask you to notice the level of panic. Definitely less. What's your level? Maybe a 2. That's what I have. I have about a 1. 67, somewhere in there. So right under a 2, right? Okay, now what are we doing to get the panic feeling down, all the way down from a 6. 7 to a 2? What are we, what are we doing right now?

Just remembering that feeling of panic. Love and empowerment. No. It was me that created that. No, no, no, no, no. What we're doing is you programmed your subconscious mind to want to exit life and leave it behind. So imagine for a moment if somebody programmed their subconscious mind to want to jump off of a cliff and their conscious mind was not on board with that.

Hmm. How much panic do you think they would be experiencing? A lot. A lot. So all I did is I said, how much would you like life? How much would you want to leave life or would you want to stay here? Would you want to leave life or would you want to stay here? So we were actually just saying what if and notice it was so so bingo.

So I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe and think about You don't have to exit life to experience euphoria, happiness, connection. I'm going to say that again. You don't have to exit life. You just want to manifest that. You want to get good at it. Yeah. Great. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe.

and take that in. Bingo. So if I ask you to notice that, you don't have to leave life, the goal isn't to leave life to be able to do it, because then you're just going to come back and need to figure it out anyway, right? You want to actually get good at manifesting and enjoying the physical world, right?

So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe, and it's kind of like, how much do kids typically want to leave Disneyland? Not at all. Not at all, right? So ask you to breathe. And what if the actual, what if you were enjoying life? What if you were happy, happy, happy, joy? What if you found happiness in life and in the experiences in life and people and connecting with people?

And I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe. Yes, good, great job with your energy. And if I ask you just for a moment to notice the feeling of anxiety, zero to 10 or panic, what's your level? Zero to 10. Okay. It's really low. I don't even know if it's there anymore. Yeah, right. Awesome. Awesome job with your energy

All right, so let's go ahead and pause it just for a quick moment, you know first and foremost she's just amazing She is amazing. I love her self awareness her insight just Really, really impressive. A beautiful, beautiful being. And, I also wanted to take a quick side note to just talk about anxiety for a moment.

Because all the time I'll see this with people when they're experiencing anxiety, and it's this. It's that their subconscious mind is programmed for something negative, you know? Like this example right here, where her brain wants to leave the physical world. So it's programmed in a way that equates to danger.

to her physical body. So then, of course, the other part of her brain feels all of that fear because, of course, the goal of the body and soul is to stay alive. And so it's creating a lot of those anxious feelings. And I'll see this in people for a variety of different reasons. It's not necessarily wanting to leave the body.

The physical world, though, for a lot of people, it can be. Or it can be feeling like they deserve a lot of punishment in life. So the subconscious mind is just wanting to punish them and feels like they deserve terrible things to happen to them in life. And then consciously, the other part of the brain is like, Ah, like, I don't want terrible things.

And so the body and soul are kind of having this anxiety. And so it's just this, this struggle that's going on inside the being. And then what happens, of course, in our world is people say, you know, just ignore the anxiety, or let's just take medication, keep moving on. And, of course, you want to make sure to address it.

And, I want to be clear, I'm not saying, don't take your medication, you know, if that's what you're taking, then, you know, follow your doctor's orders and all that. So I'm definitely not saying, Don't take your medication or to take it. You know, that's up to your doctor. What I am saying is that it's very important to address what is really going on in the subconscious mind and truly transform that because a lot of people in our world are experiencing anxiety and instead of changing what's going on in the subconscious mind, people are distracting themselves or trying to invalidate it and ultimately in a lot of cases it leads to a lot of depression or illness or suicide even because there's a level of feeling, you know, tortured unfortunately just with that anxiety going on inside and so again the biggest thing you'll want to know is it's not about distracting yourself, it's not about invalidating the emotions, it's not about escaping them, it's about really looking at what is going on in the subconscious mind and creating that real shift because when you do And you have that alignment of mind, body, and soul, and your subconscious mind is programmed in the direction you want to go.

eeling of happiness because that has been programmed into your subconscious mind. It feels euphoric. It's just this glowing feeling that you live with and that I get to live with because it's just beyond words. this harmony that can happen with mind, body, soul, spirit. I mean, it's just this beautiful spirit full place.

And so I just really wanting to emphasize this and coming up, we'll go ahead and create a simple to do that you can start doing just because there are a few more things that I'm going to unpack with Carrie. As we dive back in and then will create some simple to dos that you can start doing in your own life to just start creating some of those changes.

All right, so that said, let's go ahead and dive back in with Carrie.

Okay, so I'm gonna ask you to breathe. Bingo. And now I want you to notice the part of you that was really pissed off at the teacher, the meditation teacher. Can you see that? Yeah, okay, so what I want you to realize is okay, so have you ever heard before and it's very simple It's a lot more complex than this but that your brain will want to go for pain pleasure, right?

Can you see how through your meditation practices, you linked up euphoria to exiting life and you linked up pain to the physical world. Can you see that? Yeah. Yeah. So your, your subconscious mind, like if I ask for your energy energy yesterday, zero to 10, how much wanted to leave the physical world, zero to 10, 500 like so you've programmed your mind to want to leave and then because Leaving it's so it's so that's part of what's also wanting to create illnesses So you can manifest a way to then leave does that make sense?

Yeah for sure. Okay, so great. I love your awareness Love your awareness. So i'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe I'm gonna ask you to breathe and i'm gonna ask you to not be mad at him Most people that work with the mind don't really understand what they're doing And of course like if you think about it Somebody can meditate and feel a sense of euphoria.

Sure. Somebody can also, um, cut themselves and experience a feeling of euphoria, but that doesn't mean it's the right thing. Does that make sense? Yeah. Yeah. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe.

And what happens is instead of checking out, the way to get to euphoria, real euphoria, is to start checking in. Is to check inside on what's going on and really transform patterns into happiness, into positivity, into love and experiencing that and watching that manifest in your life. Does that make sense?

Yeah. Great. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe.

And I'm going to ask you to take in the awareness. And by the way, I see people do that all of the time. Who program their mind for euphoria for checking out. so much. And then that's all their mind wants to do is just check out and check out and their lives become, uh, difficult and challenging. And especially because what happens is then they also program into their mind that the physical world is lesser than.

Like, it is lesser than, it is, and, and the energetic world is, is better than, right? And by the way, if I ask you how much you have that programming, you How much would you say that is? A lot. Mm hmm. Now let me ask you a question. Have you ever heard before that everything's made of atoms and molecules? Yes.

Okay, so imagine if I said moisture is so much better than water. If I said moisture in the air is so much better than water, what makes it so much better than water? I don't know. If you think about it, it's the same thing, but it's just in a more condensed form, right? So if you think about energy, and you think about the physical world, atoms, molecules, the physical world is made of energy.

Right? Mm hmm. So if the physical world is made of energy, then how is the energy world better than the physical world if the physical world is just made of energy anyway? Bingo. That's a good way to put it. Bingo. So let's go this way. If I ask you, so that we could, we could go down a whole rabbit hole with that one, but very simply, bingo, you attract things in life based on your energy.

Would you agree? Yes. Okay. Okay. So are you a hundred percent sure that the energy world is better? better than, than the physical world. And does that even make sense? Yeah, I get, I get it. Great, great, great, great, great, great. Come with me. Come with me. Awesome. So I'm gonna ask you to breathe. And what if the physical world is really, really, really cool?

There we go. So I'm gonna ask you to breathe. What if the physical world is really, actually amazing? And by the way, I see people do this all of the time. It's not just you. So I know that we're looking at things and being silly with it and working on the changes. This is not just you. I see this all of the time.

Bingo. So I'm gonna ask you to breathe.

And bingo. Bingo. Bingo. And I want you to notice how much your, like in your memory when you're going, Oh my God, and the euphoria and it felt so amazing and it felt this incredible feelings. Notice how you're picturing yourself checking out from life in those moments. Can you see that? Sure. Okay, you don't want to train your brain to check out.

Okay, so i'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe and what if I said and falling in love and connecting and Having the most incredible time with people and dancing and enjoying and it was all like epic What if you had epic experience after epic experience of of? Fulfillment of connecting what would that even look like?

Yeah, that sounds great, but it's hard to visualize. Okay. It absolutely is if you see life as being inferior and, and, and less than, and, and, but what's happened is this, okay, so if I told you that somebody has their brain linked up to euphoria to checking out, like, oh my God, amazing. And meh, it's less than, inferior, here's this physical world.

What do you think that their being wants to be checked out or checked down to life? Yeah, so I'm gonna ask you just for a moment to breathe and bingo And by the way, do you know that I did an entire podcast episode on this exact thing? No, I haven't listened to that one. Okay, so it's, I believe it's IQ episode number three or number four.

Oh wow. But it's the top five pitfalls. It's something called like the top five pitfalls with meditation and mind programming. And that's because I see people do this all the time and they think, okay, well, let's hit these euphoric States. And then what happens is people are like, Oh my God, I just love meditating so much.

All I want to do is meditate and meditate. And then they start to like dislike people and feel overwhelmed by life and feel like life is too chaotic. And, and they're literally disabling their brain to where it's, it's like, just like somebody can feel addicted to heroin. I mean, if you think, or. cocaine or something like that, what are they getting?

They're getting some type of high. So people become addicted to checking out. To like, like imagine, I mean you've heard of people being addicted to drugs and heroin and stuff like that before, right? Oh yeah. So basically what people are now doing is finding a natural way to get that high by checking out of life.

Yeah, and then they're so addicted to it. They're like, I just want to meditate. I don't care what happens to my life, which is the same as a drug addict where their whole life can fall apart And they don't care as long as they have the drug and people are doing that exact thing I just want to meditate and check out And that's what they're doing.

Does that make sense? Absolutely. But what you want to keep in mind is euphoria doesn't, just because something feels euphoric, like drugs for example, couldn't feel euphoric, it doesn't mean it's good for us. Um, even if you think about, uh, people who Even maybe have a sex addiction who are just addicted to sex all the time They don't even want to live life anymore because they're addicted.

They just want that's all they want to do is have sex Right. Yeah. Yeah, or even a cutter who cuts themselves. They experience a feeling of euphoria Yeah. Now, would you say well if you're cutting yourself and you're experiencing euphoria, that must be what you want to do

No, right you wouldn't say that right no, so just because we can create a mental state of euphoria You Doesn't mean that we should, because we could do that with, again, we could do that all the time with sex. And just say, never mind on life, we're cutting ourselves, like, it's just, yeah, there's a lot of things that people can do.

And not only that, but there are a lot of people who just love video games, and they feel this major excitement to play video games. Yeah. So I'm going to ask you just for a moment to take in the awareness that just because that feeling of euphoria is there doesn't mean that that's what you want to do all the time.

And not only that, but kind of like this, so even using the sex addiction, like obviously connecting with people, being intimate, that's a good thing in balance, right? And so you also want to enjoy life and, and, you know, and, and do other things. And so I'm going to ask you just for a moment to breathe.

All right. So I want to go ahead and pause the session right here just because I want to give you a moment to be able to integrate some of this into your life because the insights that are coming up are really profound. And Carrie is just doing an amazing job and I love, she has this strength about her and just very, very smart.

And, of course, her mind has just been programmed in the wrong direction, and she's seeing that now. And, I have to say, I see this all of the time with people where they've been working with their mind with meditation, and their brain is just wanting to check out. And by the way, I see this for a variety of different reasons.

Not just for from meditation, but of course I do see it a lot with meditation, which is the reason that I did an entire IQ episode on this very topic. And by the way, if you are somebody who's wanting to listen to that episode also, and you missed that episode, that is. Episode IQ03, and that talks about a lot of the pitfalls or problems that I'm seeing all the time that happen when people have spent a lot of time meditating.

So that is, again, that is in that previous episode, so you can listen to even more of that if you'd like. And again, it's not only meditation where I see this happening. And in fact, whenever I've worked with people with Alzheimer's, this is part of what I'm seeing. Now, of course, there's always multiple components going on, but.

Part of the element is a feeling that the brain wants to check out for one reason or another and You know if you're familiar with Alzheimer's that's what happens with Alzheimer's is the person is checking out a bit, you know, they're going into an alternate reality, either the past or even a fictitious reality.

And of course, there's a lot more to it when I've worked with people specifically with Alzheimer's. But anyways, my point being is that you don't want your brain to want to check out for any reason, and And you don't want your brain to look down on life. And so I really want to talk about that just because I see that all of the time where people are getting more and more into spiritual awareness and energy, and they start looking at the physical world like it's less than, and you won't want to do that.

And so on that note, there are two simple exercises that I want to invite you to do. Number one, is starting to really look at life with the awareness of energy, meaning this, meaning that a lot of people, as they start becoming aware of energy and spirituality, they start thinking, wow, this is so amazing, but they see it as something that's separate.

from the physical world, but it's not. It's all part of the physical world. We are living in an energetic world. That's almost like saying oxygen is separate from the physical world, but when we look at oxygen, we are walking around, we are breathing it. Or even if we think about water, water is H2O. Or if we think about the physical body, it's partly made of oxygen.

So we wouldn't want to say, Oh, oxygen is separate from the physical world. No, it's everywhere. It's everywhere. In our physical world. And so you want to just have that integrated spirit, full awareness that spirit and energy is in everything we do and are, and it's all around us. So that wholesome image of the world and that perspective is very profound.

So that's number one. And number two is that I want to invite you to decide. Consciously how you want to feel about life and this is something that I did going through my injury. You know, I still remember the very moment when I thought to myself, you know, if life is going to feel about me the way that I'm going to feel about life, then I better really change that because I did not feel great about life at all.

And so I consciously remember going, okay, how do I want to feel about life? I want to feel like life is amazing and exciting and loving and wonderful and safe. And so I started programming that in my mind and really changing. So that is key. And of course, The better I got at working with my mind and creating that real change really transformed my health and my entire life.

And so that of course is my hope for everybody is just waking up to this awareness of not just checking out or not programming your mind to want to leave the physical world or distract yourself or tell yourself the pain isn't real or the problem isn't real or anything like that, but instead having that spiritful awareness of really looking is going on and be willing to change it.

Now, of course, in Kerry's situation, she didn't have a bunch of things that were wrong until she started programming her mind in the wrong direction. And that is what ultimately started leading to problems. And I can't tell you how often I have seen that. where people decide to become spiritually enlightened and then they start meditating because it's the in thing or they're listening to an app or they're reading a book or they're doing something like that and they're starting to just work with their mind because they want personal growth.

And then the things they start doing with their mind end up leading to problems and illness because of the way that they're working with their mind. So guys, you really want to make sure that you're working with your mind in a beautiful way and that you really start understanding what you're doing and how you're doing it.

And that's the way, like, if you think back to every episode where I work with somebody to help them to make the change, the goal is for every person to understand their mind better. And. By the way, the reason that I've even been able to help people to get these results is because of my understanding of how the mind works and being able to do things differently.

than others. And that's exactly what I've done to continue to evolve the awareness. And that's been an incredible process of understanding the mind at a deeper and deeper and deeper level. You know, that's always continuing to grow and expand because there is so much to learn and to understand and to know about our own minds.

I mean, they are truly incredible. And again, it's life changing when you really learn. So I know some people are like, I don't want to have to learn how to use my mind. But you know, if you think about it, most everybody knows how to use a cell phone or a computer these days. And when you really understand how to use your brain, that's changes every area of your life.

You know, that gives you more capabilities than a cell phone. You know, it's really incredible what we are all capable of. When we really start to understand our own mind and program our own minds in the right direction. And so on that note, I'm going to ask you, please do make a point to hit the share button on this episode.

You know, share it with somebody you love, somebody you care about, or somebody you don't even know, you know, the more empowered and loving and happy and healthy and self aware that every person is in our world, the better this world is going to be for all of us. And so on that note, I also wish you a most wonderful, fabulous rest of your day.

And I hope that you enjoy this beautiful, energetic world that we are in. That is truly incredible. You know, when you stop and think about it again, there is energy all around us. We live you in a world of energy and it's really beautiful and exciting and fun and I hope that is your experience today. I wish you a most wonderful rest of your day and I look forward to connecting with you on the next episode and of course next week we are going to continue with the rest of this session with Carrie to unpack it and take it to the next level.

So I look forward to seeing you there. Have an incredible rest of your day.
