Hello, and welcome to this week's quick IQ episode where we talk about insights and questions. And today I want to share with you an insight regarding the topic of fear and getting out of the fear story. And not just for yourself, but also if you're a parent, really looking at how to make sure that your kids are not getting stuck or sucked in to the fear story.

Because more and more people in our world are suffering from anxiety and stress, even kids. And when you stop and think about it for a moment, there are so many different Fear stories to get sucked into, you know, whether it's issues going on in other countries or it's financial and stress and worried about that or climate change or global warming, whatever you want to call it, there are all of these fear stories.

And so just for a moment, I want to invite you to start thinking about them in a different way, because let's be honest, it is easy And by the way, that is something that I've heard from people all of the time, where maybe they've lived the majority of their life in fear. And they start to realize it and people where they're looking back on their lives and saying, you know, wow, I can't believe that I spent so much of my life in fear, you know, sucked into fear stories.

And so I want to stop and talk about that for a moment just because you know, it's If you live your life sucked into the state of fear, it's hard to heal, to really enjoy life, to use your energy, to create the life that you want, to feel love and happiness and connection at the depths that you otherwise could if you weren't caught in the fear story.

And by the way, of course, during times of a lot of stress and upset, there can also be a lot more people getting sick. And for those reasons, this is just such an important topic. And something else that I'm seeing, you know, especially with things like climate change, where there are kids, you know, teenagers who aren't so interested in their future.

Because they're thinking, well, do we have one? Is there going to be a planet? Is there not going to be a planet? I mean, they're just very stuck. And that's really what I want to take a moment and unpack is if you are stuck into that fear story, I want to invite you to do a few things, you know, first and foremost, take just a moment and look at the bigger picture and look at the awareness that during any time.

Time in our world, there's always been people who have done okay. You know, even during the worst of times where there had been people who have still done great. And you've heard me probably say before on past podcast episodes, you know, during the times of the great depression, there were more millionaires created during that time than any other time in history.

And that statement is not necessarily about money. Now, of course it is about money. But my reason for pointing that out. is because what I'm really saying is that you don't have to always get stuck where everybody else is. So if there were more millionaires during the Great Depression than any other time in history, when you think about it for a moment, just because everyone else may get sucked into a fear story doesn't mean that you need to.

Instead, Always looking for the opportunity, the opportunity to love, to laugh, to enjoy. What is the positive? What is really the positive? And really making a point to bring that in, to feel that, to embody that. Now, let's be honest. Some people would say, well, that's just delusional thinking, but is it really?

Meaning again, during the great depression, there were people who were succeeding. Or any time in history, during hard times, there were people who were succeeding. And not only that, but even if we stop and think about it for a moment, regarding climate change, for a lot of people, it is a big fear. It's like a doomsday thing.

But if you think about it, and you think back to the 80s, Then you'll remember that we had this big scare about the ozone layer with having a hole in the ozone layer and the ozone layer was being depleted. And if you think about it, at that time, there were all these concerns that, you know, the sun was going to burn us.

We're all going to become French fries, basically, you know, the ozone was going to deplete, the world was going to end, et cetera, et cetera. So there was so much fear around it. And if you think about the ozone layer now, I mean, we haven't heard anything for many years really in the news about it because it's healing.

So it's not really considered an issue. And so when you stop and think about it to go from growing up, but there was a lot of fear around it and what was going to happen with our world, was our world going to end, et cetera. And now. It's healing. It's doing great. We haven't heard about it again in many, many years.

Now, in that case with the ozone, of course, if you think back to what made that change occur, you know, a bunch of countries worked together to ban ozone depleting substances referred to as ODSs. So ozone depleting substances were banned. And as people stopped using them, that's when the ozone layer began to heal.

Now, my point from this is, is that We've helped heal the planet before so we've reversed quote unquote scary things before and we've done that now in this case with Climate change, of course, it takes more of each of us getting involved It takes more of us doing our part to take care of the planet and more people getting together and really doing it and creating that change, but we've done it before.

And so my point in just saying this, there's a lot of people who have been feeling doom and gloom, like, Oh, it's just going to get worse and worse and worse, but remember, we've helped heal the planet before in other ways. So it's not that we're all doomed. It's just that. We've got to do something and take care of the planet.

And of course, taking care of the planet is doing what you can physically and also lifting your energy, staying high vibration energy is so key. And so the insights that I want to share with you today are exactly that. Our first and foremost, number one, Look at the big picture and notice there's always been a fear story ever since I've been on this planet, you know, from everything from the Mayan calendars, you know, like the world's gonna end, all of these things, and yet we're still here.

And so my hope is that you're able to look at this bigger picture and allow your nervous system to relax and not get sucked into it. into the fear story, but instead, remember to focus on your life and what you want and where you want it to go and love and joy and fun and living life to its fullest and who you want to become and enjoying it.

So that's the first insight and the second insight is making sure as you're not stuck in fear, Blah, blah, blah. And, you know, sucked into the fear story that there can be positive actions to take towards that which you're wanting. Just like with the ozone layer, there was positive action that was taken and, of course, towards taking care of our planet.

There are so many positive actions that we can all take to support that or any other area of life. If you're having some fear towards an area of life, then I would encourage you to look at the positive outcome that you really want and go for that and align your action in that specific direction. So fiercely, beautifully, lovingly.

Take excited, positive action in the direction you want to go. Just like going back to the more millionaires during the great depression than any other time in history. There were people who decided not to get stuck in the fear story and looked for action to take. in a different way than anybody else was taking.

And so that's number two is be willing to take positive action. Now, a point to note on this is that making sure to clear your mind is going to be key because what happens is the more you're stuck in the fear, the harder it is to see clearly, the harder it is to take action. You feel more stuck, but when you get out of the fear, You can see more clearly.

So that is number two is just, you know, getting out of the fear. And if there is an action to take, great, taking some action. So that's the second insight is exactly that is that if you get your mind out of the fear, And then you also start taking some positive action. It can help you to stay out of the fear.

And in fact, going through my injury, I was in a really, really bad place. I just got to a point where I didn't want to live. I mean, my thoughts were really dark. I was in all this fear and hurt and pain and all of these things that basically I became addicted to research. You know, I just kept researching because it was the only thing that gave me hope.

It was the only thing I could do. consistently to follow through. And I also realized that as soon as I stopped, the fear got worse. Like it got worse. My mind got darker. It wasn't good. And so the more I could take action with the things that I was doing to figure it out, to research, the more I could keep my head above water.

Now, point being is that during that time, I felt like my entire life in every single area was out of my control from my health to my future, to my financial, like every single thing. was out of my control. I mean, I had a hard time physically doing anything. So it really felt like everything was out of my control.

And to be able to maintain my sanity and not get stuck in all the fear, I had to go towards the goal and the direction that I wanted to and focus on it and really take as much action as I possibly could. And so that's number two. And that leads to the third insight. And it's this, it's that if you are a parent and you have kids that you notice that they're getting caught in the fear, the anxiety, the stress, the worry, all of that, or even just You know, not very optimistic about life and our future.

I would invite you to see if there's a way that you can get them more involved in taking some action towards our planet, action towards our world, action towards something so that you're. opening up that conversation and that communication. So they're not feeling like we're in a terrible world that's fearful.

They're not getting sucked in to that fearful story. Because let's be honest, when you're a parent and your kid is stuck in depression and fear and upset and all of these things, or sick or everything, it's so much harder to on you to stay healthy, to stay happy, to keep your energy lifted. And so that's what I want to invite you to do.

If you're a parent is really be proactive or manage the fear story instead of feeding it or fueling it in a negative direction, making sure that you're being really conscious around your kids, making sure that they're, good at focusing on the direction and taking positive action in that direction.

Because even though you may not figure out the answer overnight, I didn't with my healing, but as I kept going, it changed my entire life. And so that of course is what I want to invite you to do is really look at the big picture in an optimistic way. Live your life to its fullest. If you have been feeling bogged down by some of these fear stories, I want to invite you to become committed.

to changing, that you're no longer going to get sucked into the fear story, the scary story, whatever it is, and that you're going to start moving towards the optimistic story. What do you really want for your life? Who do you want to be? How do you want to be? And truly embodying that and taking beautiful inspired action.

In that direction. All right. So that said, I want to invite you to please do make a point to hit the share button on this episode. Share it with somebody you love, somebody you care about, somebody who has maybe kids who are a bit stuck in the fear story or is stuck in the fear story themselves, or even just sharing it with people with the awareness that, you know, the more that all of us do, taking care of the planet, the the better this world is for all of us and also lifting energy.
