[00:00:00] Hello and welcome to Heal Yourself, change Your Life. I’m Brandy Gillmore, and I just love that you are here. So often I’ll see more and more people who are working on healing themselves, whether they’re somebody who’s just woken up to the awareness of how incredible our minds are. Or I’ll see people all of the time who have been on the Healing journey for 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 years.
And they’re feeling stuck and people will hear my story about how I heal myself and then wonder how are you able to heal yourself with your mind and, and other questions as well. You know, how can you use your mind to change your life or change your relationships or, you know, what is the key to mind body healing?
And so that’s what I want to share with you on this podcast is how to do that because. I know that for me, when I was working on healing myself, I was struggling to just heal. Like that was all I wanted. I didn’t [00:01:00] get into healing with the minds because I really wanted to. I was desperate, you know? Uh, basically back in 2003.
I used to work in telecommunications and I did network engineering and operations, and basically I had an accident and technically two accidents. I had a car accident and I had a fall, and so at the time, the idea of healing with my mind. Didn’t seem realistic because I thought, well, you know, I have a real accident and a real injury and, you know, and, and, and I was a mess.
I literally went from living a full life to being disabled, you know, on a good day. I could get around with my wheelchair walker or cane, and on a bad day I didn’t make it outta bed and I had a lot of bad days. And eventually I started looking more and more at the mind for healing, and I could see evidence of the power of the mind.
But in the back of my head I kept thinking, well, I’ve [00:02:00] had a real injury though. How is the mind. Going to heal the body. But what’s fascinating is the more I looked at the research, the more I could see it was all around us. You know, when we stop and think about it, most of us have heard about the placebo, where somebody can take a fake pill and yet it can change their physical symptoms.
And so there’s that. Or even with post-surgical results. So people after surgery. Research has shown that if they’re in a more positive state, that can help speed up healing and recovery. But if they’re in negative, they can actually increase their chances of re-hospitalization and even death. But that was just the tip of the iceberg, and I did every single thing that I could find.
I was. Doing positive thinking. I was meditating. I started looking further and further outside of the box, and unfortunately it, it wasn’t working. So I [00:03:00] started researching deeper and deeper into medical journals trying to find the answer. And that was a pivotal moment for me, was research that I found on multiple personality disorder, where it showed that people with multiple personalities could have different illnesses.
In different personalities, and it was medically documented. Now, of course, I didn’t have multiple personality disorder, but what was profound was that the illness followed. Mindset. And so I started working with my mind in a different way. I started going, well, wait a second. If they can have rapid results, how do I do that?
Because it had been years and years and years of trying every single thing that I could find. And so from that place I was able to discover new ways of working with the mind and new understanding of the mind that enabled me to heal myself and. After I healed myself, I then [00:04:00] also started showing others because people, you know, they started asking me, they say, well, how did you do that?
They saw me go from being injured in wheelchair Walker, Cain a mess, to then running and lifting weights and being fit. And so I started showing others and they started getting incredible results as well. And I thought, you know, people are gonna think this is impossible because. I personally would’ve initially thought that it was impossible.
I was the world’s biggest skeptic, and so I wanted people to see the power of the mind, and what I began doing was showing pain relief under medical equipment in real time, so you could actually see a before and after image. It showed the power of the mind, and I started doing that back in 2015 and eventually, this work is also published in a medical journal in 2023.
And what’s beautiful is that from these [00:05:00] images, you can see a before and after image of somebody who is releasing their own pain, you know, on the. Before image. You can see the, the image is all red with pain and inflammation. And on the after image, after they’ve worked with their mind in a very specific way, you can see the scan turn to green as their pain is released, reduced, gone.
And so what’s beautiful is that you can actually see and witness the power of the mind. Now I want to be very clear. When I share this, that I make this look very easy. You know, so often people will think that it’s just about positive thinking or meditation or affirmations, but even in this medical journal, most of the volunteers had already tried those techniques.
They had already been working with their mind or positive thinking. In fact, one of the participants had actually recently [00:06:00] just came back from a 10 day meditation retreat, and prior to that was at a five day Positive Thinking Workshop. And despite attending both of these events and also working with the Mind for many, many, many years, he was still experiencing physical pain at about a level six.
And so during this study, I worked with him. With using his mind in a very specific way, and he was able to release his pain from a six down to a zero in 28 minutes. Now I want to be very, very, very clear that I make this look very easy, and part of the reason is because of course. I’ve healed myself and I’ve been working with the mind for so many years and, and made new discoveries on how to work with the mind in a different way.
That has been incredible. So that’s the first thing. Now, the second thing is, is even when I take people who are experiencing pain, [00:07:00] and I show it under medical equipment. It does take follow through. So in short, the changes that I helped walk him through for him to sustain and maintain those results he had to follow through to really create a new way of thinking and feeling to be able to get long-term results.
That is the key, and that’s what I’ve seen with people when they really create a change where they’ve healed themselves completely. It does take a real, real, genuine change, and so I just want to be very clear with that, that I do make it look very easy. But my point is also that what’s beautiful is that you can actually really see the power of the mind from these.
Before and after images. And of course it’s not just pain. I have seen people heal from all kinds of things. It is truly incredible what we are capable of, and that is what I’ll be sharing with you on this podcast is. [00:08:00] Insights from actually working with people and helping people to understand their own mind and really sharing information with you from these self-healing sessions of people healing themselves, changing their lives.
