Hello And welcome to this week's quick IQ episode where we talk about insights and questions. And today I wanna talk about a topic that comes up all of the time in a variety of different ways and where we're going today. It is going to go to childhood patterns and also. Raising children and ways that you can help support them to have positive, happy, healthy, wonderful lives.
So it, there's a, a whole blend here that all comes together around feelings of being afraid or having anxiety. You know, of course, every different emotional pattern can happen for a variety of different reasons, but, Where I wanna go today is something that is so commonly overlooked, [00:02:00] but it's something that I see all of the time.
And so the way that I wanna dive into this is to start by looking at childhood patterns. You know, you've probably heard before if a child doesn't get positive attention, They'll get negative attention. And what happens is, as a child, the things that we get linked up, that we get connection for love for can continue and be emotional patterns throughout our lives, either in positive ways or also unfortunately in negative ways.
You know another example you've heard me use before, if you've been listening to past episodes, Is, you know, the unfortunate example of the woman with the abusive father who leaves him and finds the abusive boyfriend, boss, spouse, you know, that hard, painful pattern. That of course healing it, healing those wounds to be able to transform them is so important.
And all too often I've seen people who've had those very patterns that when we really look at them and shift them, [00:03:00] It transforms their pain, their health, their happiness, just everything in the most beautiful way. And so that said, I wanna take a moment to look at the pattern of being afraid. Now, of course, emotional patterns can show up in a variety of different ways, but something that I see all of the time that you'll want to watch out for if you are a mom or even.
Look for if you are somebody who is going through transforming your patterns in your subconscious mind, and it's this, it's that. It's common for me to see people, you know, in their younger years of life where they might feel afraid of something. Maybe they have a bad dream, maybe they're afraid of a dog or whatever it is, but what can happen?
Is that a kid will grow up and every time they're in fear, what can happen is if they get a lot of feelings of nurture. Around that pattern, you know, where [00:04:00] maybe they have a bad dream so they get to go sleep with their parents, or maybe they have something else that they're afraid of, the dog or whatever it is, and so they get love, they get nurture.
What unfortunately happens is that that can create a pattern that runs throughout your life where you might. Unknowingly and subconsciously have a pattern where every time you feel afraid, you're wanting to be coddled by somebody, and that it's a form of love. It's a form of connection, which of course, the conscious mind doesn't want, but subconsciously.
What happens is, again, any pattern that can get linked up in childhood can repeat itself in a variety of different ways, even when we don't want the pattern. You know, if you think about the example of the woman with the abusive father who leaves him and you know, Continues on with that unfortunate pattern.
You know, again, I have worked with some beautiful women who have had this [00:05:00] pattern, and it's not like they say, oh, I would love to have an abusive man. Who's gonna be mean to me? No. They say the opposite, like consciously, they want love, they want it to be safe. They wanna have a wonderful man who's kind to them.
And so my point is a quick insight or insights are this, is that first and foremost, if you have a pattern of feeling afraid, you'll wanna make sure and become consciously aware of it. And notice if you maybe have that in your subconscious mind to reach out, to get love to connect with others for safety.
And if you notice yourself doing that, that can definitely impact your health. And of course, what you wanna do is genuinely transform that pattern. Now, if you are a mom and you are working on creating some happy, beautiful, healthy children, you know, first and foremost, Thank you for that. I love that you are bringing in and bringing up aware [00:06:00] children, just wonderful.
And secondly, as far as feelings of feeling afraid in the world, it's a very real thing where we've gotta make sure that children's mental health, that they're taken care of, that they're not sucked into all of these emotions of feeling afraid. That's. You know, everywhere in our culture where we're afraid of this or that, you know, there's so much of it if we get sucked into that noise.
And so the insight that you may wanna take from this is that if your kids are feeling afraid, That instead of coddling them and giving them a bunch of love to hold them and feel safe, help them to see that they don't need to feel afraid that they are safe, so that instead of linking up a bunch of feelings of love, With being afraid, you know, where they feel coddled and they feel that sense of security from somebody else, but instead of feeling that way where they get that [00:07:00] programming in their subconscious mind, what would be great is to help them bring in the feeling that they are safe.
Because if their mind is programmed in that way, Where anytime they start feeling afraid. Instead they look for the safety. They look to find that and embody that, and that's their programmed way of being and feeling that can help set them up for a happy, healthy, wonderful life where they really feel safe.
And good and confident about themselves because you know, it's hard to feel confidence in life if you're also feeling afraid all the time. And for a lot of people it is so true all the time. People wanna take in more and more feelings of confidence, but simultaneously, they have so many feelings of feeling afraid in life, afraid of a variety of different things in life.
That it makes it really hard to do. So that's today's quick IQ episode is exactly that, is just if you have a pattern of feeling [00:08:00] afraid or if you notice that your children are going into a pattern such as feeling afraid, that you'll wanna make sure not to fuel the pattern, but instead to transform it and genuinely, Reprogram your mind to experience feelings of safety and happiness and confidence in life.
Because as we all know, you know, having a lot of anxiety and feeling afraid all the time, and having those patterns running in your mind and in your life, make life hard. You know, during my injury, I was very much there just living with so many feelings of feeling of afraid of everything, afraid of life, afraid of not getting better, afraid of missing out on life, af.
Afraid of everything, losing everything. I mean, I was not in a good place. And so of course, learning how to understand how to work with my mind to radically shift my mindset was life changing, health changing, just everything. And of course, You know, there were feelings of being [00:09:00] afraid that were part of the issue with my whole situation.
And so either way, point being, that's what I wanna invite you to look at in your life is if you have these patterns or your kids are getting these patterns, then I wanna invite you to definitely make a point to transform them, them.
