Welcome to Heal Yourself, Change Your Life. My name is Brandy Gillmore. And after recovering from my own life-changing injury, it’s become my mission to share with others the same discoveries I made that changed my health and my entire life. Our minds are truly incredible—the placebo is proof of this.
Each week, I will take this simple awareness to a whole new level. I’ll even coach live callers to free themselves of physical pain using only their mind. And then I’ll provide you with a combination of practical and spiritual insights that you can use to master your mind, your emotions, and your energy to help you heal your health, yourself, and your life.
Let’s begin.
Hello, and welcome to this week’s Quick IQ episode, where we talk about insights and questions. And today, I want to share with you a question that I get asked all the time. It has to do with identifying emotions and patterns—and understanding them at a deeper level. Because let’s be honest, there are some complexities that can make this quite challenging.
Why Patterns Can Be Hard to Identify
One of the first insights I want to bring up is this: a lot of times, these patterns can be hard to identify because we can have a pattern that is the exact opposite of the problem. Meaning this—on past episodes, you’ve seen where people can have patterns that breed more of the same, such as feeling criticized, unloved, rejected, hurt, or abandoned. There are so many different patterns—self-criticism, self-punishment, and more.
And what can happen is that we can hold two opposing patterns at once. Just like you’ve probably heard before that you can love someone and also be resentful or angry with them at the same time. Or even from childhood—someone could grow up with a really sweet, loving father and an abusive mother, or vice versa. They may then experience both extremes in life: deep love and connection alongside conflict and pain.
I know that’s a contrasting example, but that’s the point—everything that comes up in our lives is part of some type of subconscious programming. Every emotion, reaction, and relationship is linked to our inner patterns.
And that’s what makes identifying them tricky. Someone might say, “Well, I don’t have a pattern of hurt—look how loved I am.” But they’re overlooking the other side—the part of them that might still hold onto hurt or abandonment deep down.
Fueling the Wrong Patterns
Another thing I see all the time is that people begin giving too much attention to their “negative” patterns. They’ll say things like, “I’ve had this pattern of hurt,” or, “I’m healing my wound of rejection.” But instead of releasing it, they start to identify with it. It becomes who they are. And rather than getting smaller, that pattern grows stronger.
So, what I want to invite you to do from today’s episode is to start looking at your positive patterns—noticing them, fueling them, and being genuinely happy about them.
Focusing on Positive Patterns and Self-Acknowledgment
Let’s be honest—so often people get caught up in self-criticism. They think, “What’s wrong with me? What do I need to work on next? What’s my next problem to fix?” But they forget to stop and acknowledge what’s already wonderful about themselves.
That’s part of why I started today’s episode with the idea of opposing patterns—because we can have both beautiful, empowering patterns and old wounds at the same time. The key is to nurture and feed those beautiful, positive ones.
So part of today’s insight is about increasing your awareness of your patterns—both the empowering ones and the ones that need healing. The more you can develop this awareness, the more empowered you become to transform your life. Everything I do in my work centers around this awareness—of emotions, energy, and patterns. And the more you cultivate that awareness in your own life, the more powerful your healing becomes.
The Power of Emotional Awareness
That’s ultimately what we all want—to have the ability to understand what we are feeling and why. That level of emotional understanding is the true foundation of empowerment. Imagine for a moment what our world would look like if everyone had that ability—if everyone understood, transformed, and reprogrammed their subconscious patterns to feel more love, joy, and connection. Imagine a world where everyone was growing, healing, and happy. That’s the world we’re creating together.
Final Insight: Acknowledge the Beautiful Parts of You
So today’s Quick IQ episode is a loving reminder to fuel and acknowledge your beautiful, wonderful patterns—the parts of you that are already aligned, kind, and strong. Embrace them. Nurture them. Feel grateful for them. Because what you focus on expands—and when you focus on your positive patterns, you grow more of them.
And as always, if you found this insight helpful—if it helped you gain clarity or encouraged you to honor yourself—please do hit the share button on this episode. Share it with someone you love, someone you care about, or even someone you don’t know. The more happy, loving, and empowered each person becomes, the better this world is for all of us.
So please make a point to have a most wonderful, fantastic rest of your day—and I look forward to connecting with you on the next episode. We’ll see you there.
Final Message
Thank you for listening to Heal Yourself, Change Your Life. So many people reach out and share how much these episodes have given them hope, touched their hearts, or helped them stay positive during hard times—or even awakened them to a whole new level of awareness of how amazing we truly are.
If today’s episode touched your heart or expanded your mind in any way, please do me a favor and share it with those you care about—or those you know who really need it. As more people become empowered, it truly changes our world for the better. That is the point—and the power—of these demonstrations: to create a radical shift in consciousness by showing what we are all capable of.
Each volunteer will need to follow through to reinforce their programming and maintain their results. But the point is for you to see that you really can create rapid results in your health and your life when you truly understand how to use your mind. You are incredible.
I do want to be clear, though—most people will not get results this fast on their own. I make it look easy because of the discoveries I’ve made. Remember, there’s so much more happening in our minds at a deeper level than most people realize.
That said, if you’d like to send me any questions or comments, come visit me on my website at brandygillmore.com/. And if you’re currently experiencing physical pain and would like to be a volunteer on the show, you can sign up there as well.
Lastly, please remember—if you have any health issues, don’t avoid your doctors. Instead, continue seeing them and make it your goal to blow their minds with what you’re capable of—with your mind.
Thank you.
