Let's begin.

Hello, and welcome to this week's quick IQ episode, where we talk about insights and questions, and today we have a really great question regarding the topic of presence and healing. And you know, somebody recently asked me. If presence was part of the key to healing and the reality of it is, is that there are a lot of different angles to presence.

And so I want to talk about both because you might immediately think, well, presence is a great thing. Absolutely do that, but it's not that simple. You know, this topic of presence, I could share a lot on this topic and I want to keep it really specific to the key points that you'll really want to pay attention to.

And first and foremost is this, is that, of course, Presence is a really good thing. You want to be present in your life. And the more you are present, the more it can positively shift your life in a great way. The more you can show up for your relationships and experience feelings of love and joy and connection.

And the better your relationships are, and not only that, but the better you can show up at work or in anything that you're doing, which. By the way, by being present and showing up, what happens is it increases your confidence because the more you show up for life, the more successful you can be at each of these things.

The more successful you can be in relationships, the more successful you can be at work or whatever it is that you're doing. And so you start to feel even better and that can build confidence and that can be really great and transformative. In many ways, by simply being present. Now, I mentioned in the beginning that it may or may not be great for healing.

And it really depends because, you know, if I'm working with somebody who's had chronic health issues, you know, then typically there are. emotional energetic patterns that have been going on for a long period of time, you know, that are affecting their health. So even if you think about on past episodes, you see people healing and releasing pain from all kinds of things.

By addressing the specific emotional energetic pattern that they have. And so, you know, we're working on transforming patterns. Now, the thing of it is, is that emotions control our perception. Emotions, you know, they control our consciousness. And so very simply put, you'll hear me with the example that I use all the time, is that if you're really in love with somebody.

What do you see? You see all of the wonderful, amazing things that you love about them. But if you're really pissed off or upset with them, what do you see? You see all the negative things. Your mind tends to automatically fault find. Or even in life, if you're living life in fear, your mind tends to notice all those fearful things.

Now, if you think about it for a moment, knowing that your subconscious patterns. are shaping your perception. You know, again, I call this emotion controlled perception because our emotions, our subconscious emotions are controlling our perception. Then what happens is that if we're working always on being very grounded, in the same consciousness that we are in, a lot of times we can just hold tight to those specific patterns.

And that isn't helpful because it's just going to keep you stuck and grounded in those specific patterns. And so from this, what you could do is you could take the best of both worlds and take in the awareness that yes, it's great to be present. Yes, absolutely. And the more you can take in. The beautiful presence or positive presence on purpose, the more you can also simultaneously be present and shift your mind in a positive way.

And by the way, as far as presence, I strongly recommend that every single person works on presence just because so many of us are on the computer all the time or have. A lot of things going on in our day where we're on the phone, or we're connecting with others, or social media, or a lot of different things going on.

And so taking time to ground yourself each day and to be present is such a great thing. Because again, as I mentioned in the beginning, it can actually increase your happiness, increase your love in your life, increase your confidence in life, because it enables you to show up. better and more present in life.

And so if you make that a practice to be and do that, it can be simple, but powerful to help create a shift in your life. And so that said, one easy thing you could do is just go for a short walk every day, and as you do, maybe look at trees or plants or birds or the sky and the flowers, and, you know, just looking at our world.

and take it in, you know, feel your feet on the ground, feel yourself in your body, and just allow yourself to be super present in your body. Because if you make a practice to do that, and to feel that, that can help create a shift. Or, another thing that you can do is even practice presence in your relationships.

And I have to tell you, this is not only a very helpful exercise, but it's also a fun exercise. And from it, you really can feel a deeper sense of connection and joy. And that, of course, is good for your health, it's good for your life. So those are two quick ways that you can really work on presence. Now, of course, if you're practicing it in either, if you're practicing it in life, where you're walking around noticing the beauty in life, or if you're practicing it being in a relationship and being more present, when you're doing that, you'll make a point to.

Feel the best of that person and feel the love as you're connecting with them and being present. And so making sure to do it in a positive light where you're not just saying, okay, I'm just going to be present, but instead you're happily present. You're noticing the beauty, you're noticing the happiness, the joy, the love, the connection, the positive.

Because in doing it this way, you can be present and bring in the positive. And all too often, I'll see people who say, okay, well, I'm just working on nothingness and working on nothingness and just being present and just being still, and you don't really want to create nothingness in your life or neutral.

You know, you want to create love, joy, passion, connection, happiness, all of the positive feelings that can be helpful for your health, your healing, your happiness, your life, all of that. And so that's my point from this is don't just work on presence, work on presence with positivity in it, and that can help create a positive shift.
