Hello, and welcome to this week's quick IQ episode, where we talk about insights and questions. And today I want to share with you an insight regarding hidden blocks. You know, all of the time I'll see people who are on the spiritual journey, who are working to heal themselves or transform their lives.

And yet there are hidden subconscious blocks. that come up while they're on the spiritual journey that can keep them from getting results. And so that's what I want to share with you today. Now, you may have one of these, you may have all three, or you may have seen it around you where you kind of get an insight.

So it reminds you that it's something that you don't want to do. So that can be helpful as well. And so that said, starting with the first common insight that I'll see on the spiritual journey is this. is I'll see people who start to feel more disconnected from others as they are increasing their spiritual awareness.

So they might start to, you know, look at the world in a different way and see the awareness of energy or the fact that our thoughts help create our lives or manifesting or, you know, just looking at the world in a different way, which is a great thing. However, they may start to feel a sense of disconnect.

And if that's you, you'll want to make sure to still feel connected to others in another way. You know, you can still be very physically present and connect with others. And I do that very thing where I make a point to connect in the physical world, you know, to just be grounded and connect over. Music or laughing or sports, you know, maybe it's hiking or cooking with somebody or, you know, with family members or whatnot.

So you still make a point to connect in a beautiful way. It is so important for your health, for your happiness, for manifesting, you know, and by the way, if I expand on this first point a bit more, sometimes what I'll see is I'll see people who also start to feel a sense of superiority or righteousness.

On the spiritual path, in which case that can lead to bigger feelings of disconnect. And the problem with that is that it can keep people from healing because of course it is a negative emotion to feel the sense of righteousness or superiority over others. And so that can definitely keep you from manifesting what you're wanting in life and even keep you from healing yourself, which leads to the second powerful hidden insight.

And it's this. It's that all of the time I'll see people who are on the healing journey and they go to try to release all their negativity or find the hidden trauma and that becomes their soul focus. However, you'll want to remember that there's a combination of things that are needed to heal and it's not just about getting rid of negative emotions.

It's also important to bring in positive emotions such as connection, which is the reason that the first. Point number one can keep you from healing because if you are on the spiritual journey and You're feeling even more disconnected or righteous or you know feeling like nobody Understands you then those feelings of disconnect are not helping to create even more Connection and so when you think about it for healing to occur.

We want to make sure there are feelings of Connection and love. And by the way, as I was researching and trying to figure out how to heal and understanding how the mind works for healing, it led me on this whole journey of, you know, of course, of understanding emotions and looking at Freud's work and Maslow's work, and if you're not familiar with Abraham Maslow, in the 1940s, he created a model called the hierarchy of human needs.

And it has to do with exactly that. What do humans need? What is the hierarchy we need? And I love his model. It's a really great model of a hierarchy. What human beings need in life and starts out with, you know, basic needs like food and water and shelter, but then it also goes to belonging. And that was something that I analyzed because as I was looking at healing and understanding how the mind could influence the physical body, I of course started noticing that, you know, if an infant doesn't have enough love, they can actually die.

Or, when a person is lonely, it can have a devastating impact on their health. And conversely, feelings of love can help trigger the release of positive chemicals in the body. For example, if you've ever heard before of oxytocin, it's hormone in the body. That can help reduce feelings of stress. It can help reduce cortisol levels.

It can even help reduce high blood pressure. And so oxytocin is a wonderful chemical in the body and what's fun is nickname for oxytocin is also called the cuddle hormone because what happens is that if you're cuddling or connecting or bonding with somebody and you have that deep feeling of bonding That can trigger the release of oxytocin, you know, and that's just one chemical that's in the body that can help.

And so that was something that I was looking at also when I was working on healing is not just what negativity do we need to get rid of, of course, but also that we need certain emotional energy, if you will, such as feelings of love and safety. And so I started looking at also what emotions we need. And, you know, all the time you'll hear me say that it's a combination of emotions that are key for healing.

And the example that you'll hear me use time and time again is that when we stop and look at it, there are plenty of people who have stress. That it does impact their health. And there are other people who have a lot of stress or PTSD that it's not really impacting their physical health so much. They might not have any physical ailments, but may have a lot of psychological pain and wounding.

And so point being is that what I found in my work is that it really depends on. The certain combination. And so, you know, the analogy you'll hear me use all the time is that, you know, if somebody has flour, they can't make cake, but if they have flour and they mix it with eggs and butter and other ingredients or vegan eggs, butter, and other ingredients, then they can make cake.

So point being is that it's always a certain recipe. And by the way, if you think about past podcast episodes where you see me working with people, you A lot of times, it's exactly that. It's a combination. There are multiple things that I work on with each person, and as they make those changes, that's when they're able to free themselves from pain or make all kinds of changes with their health.

So it's truly incredible what we're all capable of, but it does take a lot. Real change and understanding those specific factors. And so that's something you'll want to keep in mind as well is that we do have emotional energy needs. We really do need positive emotions as well. All right. So that's the second overlooked or hidden insight.

That I want to share with you which also leads to number three, you know I mentioned we need feelings of love and we also need feelings of safety now What I've seen happen time and time again is that people will get on to the spiritual path and somewhere along the way They start disliking money. They start feeling like money is bad.

Now. What happens is of course We need money to live in this world, and not only that, but money isn't bad. Like, I've never seen money punch somebody in the face. I've never seen money attack somebody. So money isn't bad. Money is actually a great thing. When we stop and look at it for a moment, if everybody was using money right, what is money really?

Money is like barter papers, if you will, you know, in the old days. Uh, somebody might trade a wagon wheel for a shoes or clothing or corn or wheat or whatever it was. One person is trading another person for something else. Now, if you think about it, if somebody goes to trade somebody for a wagon wheel for some corn or some wheat or food or whatever it is, and if that person doesn't need what the other person has, then, you know, there's no exchange.

And so, If you think about it, money has just made bartering that much easier where we can all help each other out in different ways. And we have these barter papers or what I prefer to call them even as thank you papers, you know, so then we can thank each other for doing things for us. So we get to, you know, use thank you papers to pay for our electricity or cell phone or internet or whatever that is.

And we're thanking the people who Spend the day doing exactly that, providing that service, so we all have it. We're thanking people and farmers who are growing food for us, so we have that, you know. And so, point being is that thank you papers or money is really a good thing, but what can happen is people will start to feel like, Oh, I hate money or money is evil or whatever it is.

Now, the problem then becomes is that as they hate it. Then they feel less secure in it. There's a feeling of fear because part of them doesn't want money. And then part of them does because they know that they need it. And it creates an internal conflict, which can actually create or increase stress around money at a subconscious level.

And so I've seen people all of the time who want to heal and they want to dislike money, but then there's another part of them that doesn't feel safe or feels more fear. in this area so they don't feel financially safe and it impacts them and it keeps them stuck. And so if that is you, I want to invite you to transform your relationship with money to thank you papers, you know, to one of gratitude of thanking others for the things that they are doing for us that we don't always see.

You know, sometimes people complain about having to pay a water bill or electricity or food or phone. But, behind all of those bills are people who are working, and who are spending their days working, and so they deserve money, and they deserve to be paid for it, and when we can all help each other in a beautiful way, where we're not taking from others, we're not being in bad integrity, or trying to cheat others, or this, that, the other, but we're all in a great synergy, where we're, you know, using these barter papers or thank you papers in the right way.

Money is actually a good thing. And further, if we look at some of the areas that have the least amount of money, they have the most problems with starvation and all kinds of things, you know, in these poor areas and in areas that are more abundant. There can be a lot less prime. And so point being is that ultimately, instead of hating money or disliking money, we want to wish that everybody really has abundance and can live in that space of feeling abundant.

That's the ultimate solution. And so I want to invite you to really embrace that in your life, that feeling abundant is a great thing. And being in good integrity with it is, of course. Key as well, because if somebody is abundant and they're not in good integrity, then that too can affect their health as well.

And so of course you want both. You want to feel abundant and you want to feel in great integrity with it and you want to feel safe with it. Because, of course, feeling safe financially can also help promote healing. All right, so that said, I want to invite you to look at these three hidden or commonly overlooked insights and see if any of these are impacting you.
