My name is Brandy Gillmore, and after recovering from my own life-changing injury, it’s become my mission to share with others the same discoveries I made that changed my health and my entire life. Our minds are truly incredible. The placebo effect is proof of this.
Each week, I will take this simple awareness to a whole new level. I will even coach live callers to free themselves of physical pain using only their mind. Then I’ll provide you with a combination of practical and spiritual insights that you can use to master your mind, body, emotions, and energy. These tools will help you heal your health, yourself, and your life.
Let’s begin.
Quick IQ Episode: Insights and Questions
Hello and welcome to this week’s Quick IQ Episode, where we discuss insights and questions about healing. Today, I want to highlight what people often overlook when it comes to healing and why they may feel stuck.
The Volunteer’s Breakthrough
In our last episode, you may recall working with a wonderful volunteer, Joy. She released her back pain within 5–7 minutes, reducing it from a level 5–6 to zero, simply by using her own mind. While this may sound impossible to some, it’s a phenomenon I reference often. Consider this: a person with multiple personality disorder can exhibit different illnesses, blood pressure levels, body temperatures, and even eyesight in various personalities.
This illustrates how quickly things in the body can change when the mind shifts.
The Power of Results
Joy had been working with her mind for over 12 years without success. Here’s a brilliant, kindhearted woman who owns her own business but struggled to achieve tangible results despite affirmations and other self-help practices. She’s not alone.
Let’s consider two well-known figures: Wayne Dyer and Steve Jobs. Both are remarkable individuals, yet meditation didn’t prevent Wayne Dyer’s cancer or heal him, nor did it work for Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs meditated from a young age, embraced various diets, and explored alternative therapies, but he neglected to address one crucial factor: emotions.
Honesty with Data
During my own injury, I tried meditation, affirmations, frequencies, supplements—everything. Yet I didn’t heal until I approached my data with honesty and a deeper understanding of the mind. Healing requires going beyond meditation and affirmations.
Meditation, while beneficial, is like drinking water: necessary but insufficient on its own. Many people fall into what I call the “meditation lottery,” hoping one day it will lead to a miraculous healing. However, true healing involves addressing emotions and reprogramming the mind at a much deeper level.
The Depth of Reprogramming
Healing is not just about expanding consciousness but also about becoming more consciously aware of our patterns. For example, people often start working on self-criticism and become more aware of how deeply ingrained it is. This awareness, though uncomfortable, is the first step toward real change.
In the last episode, our volunteer Joy shifted her mindset profoundly, resulting in rapid pain relief. Such changes may seem surreal, but they’re possible when we engage with the depth of our mind.
Think of it like starting a new job. Over time, we refine our skills, gain clarity, and improve. Similarly, as we continue to practice emotional awareness and reprogramming, our ability to heal improves.
Resources for Deeper Insights
If today’s episode resonated with you and you’d like more insights, here are two resources:
- Gaia Interview: I recently appeared on Gaia, the “Netflix” of personal development and spirituality. Many people shared that they took notes throughout the interview because of its practical value.
- Free Masterclass Training: I also offer a free masterclass on the science of healing, which dives into the mechanics of how healing works.
Later this week, we’ll continue working with Joy in the next podcast episode to explore even deeper changes.
