Have you ever wondered why, even after all your inner work, the deeper love, abundance, or healing you desire still feels just out of reach?
In this short and powerful episode, Brandy Gillmore uncovers three surprising subconscious blocks that can quietly hold you back from attracting the love, connection, and prosperity you truly deserve — and even from fully healing yourself.
These subtle patterns often arise as we grow spiritually, yet they can unintentionally create disconnection, scarcity, or self-judgment. Once you see them clearly, it can help you begin to shift them!

Welcome to Heal Yourself, Change Your Life. My name is Brandy Gillmore, and after recovering from my own life-changing injury, it’s become my mission to share with others the same discoveries I made that changed my health and my entire life. Our minds are truly incredible. The placebo is proof of this.
Each week, I will take this simple awareness to a whole new level. I’ll even coach live callers to free themselves of physical pain using only their mind, and then I’ll provide you with a combination of practical and spiritual insights that you can use to master your mind, your emotions, and your energy to help you heal your health, yourself, and your life.
Let’s begin.
Hello and happy beautiful day to you. On today’s quick IQ episode, I want to talk about three specific blocks that can come up that can affect you and keep you stuck from healing yourself—from the relationship and love and connection that you really want in your life, or even money and financial areas—just things that I see all the time with people.
Looking at the bigger picture for a moment, I often see people who come into personal development or self-healing, self-help, spirituality—whatever you want to call it. They’re looking to expand their life in some way—to heal, to find more love, connection, fulfillment.
As they’re working on growing, what can happen is that some subconscious blocks and beliefs that they didn’t previously have can sneak in and create problems. And that’s what I want to talk about today.
Number one is this: I’ll see people who come in working on healing themselves or improving their relationships—they’re wanting more love. But then when they get into spirituality, they might start to feel a sense of righteousness or superiority.
Unfortunately, even though their heart is wanting more love and connection, that righteousness or superiority can actually cause them to feel disconnected in a different way. Or it can even create more distance in their relationships. I have seen that so many times, unfortunately.
What’s beautiful, though, is when people shift that—when they really get rid of the superiority, the righteousness, and instead feel from their heart. It’s beautiful.
Another one is when people want to grow and expand financially, but then they start to feel like money is a bad thing. This can affect a person in multiple ways—even their health. I’ve seen this all the time.
Imagine someone who has been in financial scarcity, living in fear, and then wants to grow and fix that. But then maybe they start hearing messaging that says, “Money is bad,” “You shouldn’t want money,” “Money is of the ego.” I see all kinds of beliefs around money. Then what happens is mixed emotions: they’re stuck. They want more, but feel like it’s wrong to have more. They fear scarcity, but feel bad about desiring abundance.
I’ve even worked with people who had abundance, then got deeper into spirituality and lost it all, thinking poverty was more spiritual. They ended up sick, injured, fearful, and conflicted.
Here’s the thing—money itself isn’t good or bad. It depends on how you use it. One person could use money to party or self-destruct, another could use it for connection, joy, travel, freedom, or spiritual growth.
So if you’ve had that feeling that money is bad, you’ll want to change that. Because not only can it affect your healing through fear, it can strain your relationships—especially when finances become one of the biggest stressors in a household.
The third block I often see is a fear that anything someone does is “egoic.” They feel like they’re not supposed to celebrate themselves or be acknowledged for something good because it would be feeding the ego.
Yet inside, one part of them wants to feel seen and acknowledged, and another part is saying, “I’m not supposed to want that.” That internal conflict keeps them stuck.
I’ve seen people adopt that mindset and it keeps them from feeling loved, appreciated, or fulfilled. But acknowledgment is natural. Think about how we acknowledge a third-grader for good grades, or for being kind or thoughtful. Every person can be acknowledged for something.
What would the world look like if everyone was celebrated for their kindness, their joy, their gifts? That would be amazing.
So if there’s a part of you saying, “Acknowledgment is good,” but another part saying, “I shouldn’t want that,” just notice that the quieter voice—the subconscious belief—might be blocking your transformation.
That’s what I wanted to share with you today. How can you take these blocks and use this awareness to improve your life—around money, relationships, or just feeling good and acknowledged in the world?
If you’ve been asking yourself, “What’s blocking me from healing or growing?”—these are some of the hidden emotional and spiritual beliefs that could be playing a part. Just food for thought.
As always, I want to ask you to please take just a quick moment to hit the share button on this episode. Share it with someone you love, someone you care about—or even someone you don’t know—because the more that every single person in our world feels happy, healthy, loved, and loving, the better this world is for all of us.
Please do make a point to have an incredible rest of your day. I look forward to connecting with you on the next episode. We’ll see you there.
