Hello and welcome to this week's quick IQ episode where we talk about insights and questions. Today I wanna share with you a very important insight and misconception. When it comes to healing with the mind, or even using your mind to help change your life, you know, all of the time I'll see people who have underlying patterns of guilt or feeling like a bad person, even if it's not true.

You know, guilt from the past from a mistake, or even just patterns of feeling guilty for no reason. And what'll happen is this, is that people can experience feelings of depression or feelings of health issues and physical health issues. These types of patterns and what can happen is that they hear that it's really great to bring in [00:02:00] feelings of gratitude to try to heal, but.

It can backfire. And even if you think about the last episode on the podcast where I was working with a beautiful volunteer, Veronica, if you think about it for a moment, in her case, the first primary emotion that comes up is a feeling of feeling guilty and bad and greedy for having a great life. And it's not like she's actually being greedy.

But when you stop and think about it for a moment and you really analyze. It makes logical sense that if she then brings in a bunch of gratitude for everything that she has in life, then it will backfire. And of course, her situation has to do with feeling bad about being happy and guilty and like people won't like her.

If she's happy. But there are so many other situations where people feel like they've been a bad person, like they [00:03:00] made a mistake in the past, like they don't deserve because of whatever reason. And then when they feel that really strong, then when they start bringing in all of these feelings of gratitude, It backfires in a variety of different ways where I've seen people attract more and more problems, or more hardship, or more struggle.

You know, even that's another scenario as well as I've seen people who have a strong pattern of having a lot of pride in hardship. You know, feeling like they have the worst life or the worst problems. And of course, by the way, real. If you have that, you won't wanna judge or criticize yourself. You didn't put it there on purpose, but all the time I've seen that as well, where people have that feeling of pride and hardship and then they start bringing in feelings of gratitude of life being easy and in flow and abundant, and notice for a moment, logical.

That would [00:04:00] backfire. They start bringing in those emotions. So then their subconscious mind says, oh, well we need more hardship. And so it wants to create that opposite. And so my point being from this is that you just really wanna be real with what's real. You know, a lot of times people wanna put a blanket bandaid on healing where they say, okay, well just meditate and just bring in gratitude and that'll.

But it doesn't create that real change that you need in the subconscious mind to create radical healing. You know, if you think about past podcast episodes all of the time, I'll take volunteers who are experiencing all kinds of pain and help them to radically shift it. You know, a lot of times when it comes to healing, people just wanna put a blanket answer over it where they say, okay, well let's just meditate.

Let's just get into Theta State. Spend time in deep relaxation or you know, just send white light or [00:05:00] send positive energy or bring in gratitude. But it really does take understanding the specifics and understanding the programming that's in your mind, but that's also the gift because when you stop and think about it for a moment, everything that we're aligned to, you know, patterns, breed more of the.

So you know when somebody has a pattern and they attract more relationship rejection or hurt or criticism or whatever that pattern is, but then they can really transform the pattern that is incredible. And so the ability to understand what's going on in your mind and to really transform it, Is a gift, and it's beautiful to be able to master.

And so everybody should know what's going on with their mind. And as far as this action of just bringing in gratitude, you wanna really think about if that applies to your life. Now, of course, gratitude [00:06:00] is a good thing, so don't get me wrong, but I see two things happen all the time. You know, it backfires.

It's connected to the health issues. So it's not great because there's that feeling of feeling like I don't deserve, or I'm guilty from the past at a deeper level. So that's one thing. Or the second thing is people will try to connect with the feeling and they can't feel it. They feel almost a sense of shame for not being able to feel it.

They go, well, I have things in my life and I'm trying to feel grateful, but I'm just an ungrateful person. You know, it's like they start to feel this feeling of feeling bad for not being able to feel it. But that's because if there are feelings of feeling undeserving or guilt or you know, all kinds of subconscious pattern.

It can keep you from feeling those feelings. And so that said, you'll wanna make sure to really start bringing in the feeling of feeling good about you. You'll wanna make sure to be very clear what is in your subconscious mind. [00:07:00] Feel deserving. To have a great life and really feel that very strong. Also, if you've listened to past episodes on the podcast, you've heard me work with people who have, you know, pain ailments, paralyzed limbs, different things like that, and help them to even release pain in minutes on the podcast live.

And we're not necessarily using feelings of g. We're addressing the specific things, the specific mind programming that's going on and changing that, and so that's what you'll wanna do in your life. Now, of course, feeling grateful is good, but it's not always the best starting point. And if you think about the last podcast episode where I see this all the time, people will have feelings of guilt even though they don't make sense or feelings of feeling bad and undeserving and starting with gratitude keeps them more stuck.

And so you'll wanna think about that in your life. If you have these patterns. Make sure to transform those first and then bring in even more [00:08:00] gratitude. And I have to say, I am so grateful for my own life, for my own healing, my own transformation. I, I'm very grateful and. It was a process to genuinely feel that, and that's what you wanna do is getting rid of the negative.

Because even in my own life, part of what was affecting me was subconscious fear that I didn't even realize was there. But bringing in a bunch of gratitude when your nervous system is in fight, flight, fear. Is hard to do. And so just again, making sure to make a real change is so important. And so that said, that is the insight, bringing in the feeling you deserve a great life.

Feeling that very strong and being real with what's real, noticing what is in your subconscious mind and genuinely changing it. And by the way, if you. Things come up that are in your subconscious mind and you notice multiple things. Something you want to keep in mind is this is, I always say the bigger the shift, the bigger the gift.

[00:09:00] So if you do have negative patterns or whatnot in your mind that you really need to shift instead of looking at it in a bad way. Look at it in a way of feeling excited because truly I see people make the most incredible changes in their health, in their life, in their relationships, success, all kinds of things.

By genuinely identifying what is going on and radically transforming it. So just remember, the bigger the shift, the bigger the gift. Really feeling good and allowing yourself to be happy and feeling like it's safe.

And we're also going to talk about some specific mind programming that can actually block your mind from feeling happy. So we're gonna [00:10:00] unpack all of that even more. On the next episode. And so that said, just for this part, again, being real with what's real and creating that authentic change is so key and feeling deserving to have a great life.
