Hello and welcome to this week's quick IQ episode where we talk about insights and questions. And today I wanna share with you a question that I get all of the time. From people about being stuck. You know, all of the time people will ask, you know, why am I feeling so stuck in life? Or why do I feel like I can't get myself to take action?
So sometimes people are stuck where they're taking action, but they feel very stuck. And other times people will feel like. , they just can't get themselves to follow through. It's like they feel lethargic or they're spacing out instead of following through with the things that they really want in life.
And so that said, today I wanna share with you the top seven reasons that I see people get stuck all of the time. [00:02:00] And the first ones that we're gonna talk about are gonna be the. Obvious, if you will, so you may resonate or may be able to identify some of these very easily. Then as we get further, deeper in to the last ones, they're gonna be a bit more subconscious.
And so that said, as we go through these, starting with the most obvious number seven. Subconscious fear, you know, all of the time people will have some type of thing that they're fearing in life, even fearing success potentially, or fearing the unknown. And so what happens is these feelings of fear can keep them stuck.
And so if that's you, you'll want to notice that. And of course, genuinely transform them into feelings of, you know, feeling strong, feeling determined, feeling good, feeling excited, feeling. about where you're going in life or what you're wanting to do. So that is number seven. Now, [00:03:00] number six has to do with distractions.
You know, all of the time people will get distracted. with things that aren't that important. And it might just be because people have habits of doing things and we can be creatures of habit where we do the same things over and over just because it's again, a habit and that can keep people stuck from taking action in life.
And so if that is you, if you feel like you're kind of stuck in the same things, then as simple, we're obvious as it sounds, you may want to stop and ask your. , what different actions you want to start taking just because again, you know when you stop and think about it, our subconscious mind controls 90 to 95% of our behavior, our activity.
And so if we don't take a minute to consciously decide what we want to do different in life, then it's easy to stay stuck in the old. All right, so that. [00:04:00] number six. Now, number five has to do with a misfired mind, or being out of alignment would be another way to put it. But all of the time people will have subconscious beliefs that are opposite from what it is they're wanting.
For example, a person might have a belief that says, well, if I succeed, people are gonna be jealous, or people won't like me. And even though they tell themselves that's not true. That subconscious link is still there. And so it's like the people a lot of times try to override subconscious beliefs and patterns and emotions with conscious programming, you know, justifying it's okay, but that's not how the brain works.
You can't use your conscious mind to just override information in the subconscious mind instead. , you'll wanna use your conscious mind to reprogram information in the subconscious mind. And so if you find yourself using [00:05:00] your conscious mind to simply try to override or invalidate information in your subconscious mind, that's not enough, and you'll wanna keep that in mind.
I. reprogramming will be key for getting results. Now, something to keep in mind also is that if you're out of alignment with something, you could either experience something where you feel like you know what it is that you want, but you feel very stuck towards getting it or. , you feel completely blocked towards it and you can't see how it's even possible.
You know, the analogy that I use all of the time is like a writer with writer's block. You know, if you picture a writer who's got writer's block and they're trying to write and trying to write, but they just are blocked. The same can be true with anything. You know, if somebody's out of alignment with having a relationship, they're gonna feel like I can never have a relationship where I'm never gonna be [00:06:00] loved.
Or if somebody's out of alignment with money, or healing, or success or career or whatever it is, they'll have this belief we're feeling that feels like it's impossible or it's never gonna happen, however, Again, just like the writer with Writer's Block, if you shift your mind with writer's block and it opens up, it's like you have information and ideas that come in, and so getting aligned also means that, you know, the more you're aligned, the more you feel fueled.
Towards what it is that you want to do and the more you have ideas that you can take action on. So it works in both ways where it can fuel you and energize you to wanna follow through and you can attract more and more ideas or situations and circumstances. to help you to manifest that in your life.
Now, there are a few catches which we'll talk about coming up, but that's what you'll ultimately wanna know, is that the more that you are [00:07:00] aligned with what it is that you're wanting, the more it gets you unstuck. So that is key. And that was number five. Now number four is a feeling. not really being clear about what you want and never really deciding.
And you know, all of the time I've seen people who have been stuck in indecision. And this is what I would tell you if you're stuck there, is I would say, you know, at least decide to do something moving forward in whatever area that you're stuck. You know, and kind of a simple way to look at it would be to think about this.
You know, if you're at home and you don't know where you wanna go and you're stuck and you don't know where you wanna go. and you wait to leave until you figure it all out. , it could be a long time in in decision. However, if you at least decide somewhere you wanna go, you leave your house and as you're on your way, you might have an idea or see something that looks even more fun, [00:08:00] and then you go in that direction.
So point being some decision about what you wanna do is better than no decision. And so deciding and going after it and really feeling excited. and getting yourself excited can help you to get unstuck also. So that's number four. Now, I mentioned that as we get deeper in that some of these aren't gonna be as logical, and that is number three.
Now, number three is a growing issue that I'm seeing, and it's this. It's that there's a growing feeling. People feeling like they shouldn't have to do anything. Now let me unpack this a bit. A lot of people who have come into the idea of manifesting have started to build up a lot of beliefs regarding manifesting that involve that they shouldn't have to do [00:09:00] anything.
They shouldn't have to take action. And by the way, I have worked. People who were very successful, who then dove deep into a spiritual journey, who started believing that it was less than to do anything, meaning that it was more spiritual to manifest something without any action at all than. Have to take action like it was inferior to take action.
Now, what happens is this, is that even at a subconscious level, if somebody starts to build up subconscious programming that says they shouldn't have to take action or that it's inferior to take action, you know, if you gotta do something, then that's the physical world and that's inferior, which may sound crazy to some people.
I get it. Love of attraction manifesting. A lot of people have gotten [00:10:00] this information in their subconscious mind, even if they don't fully believe it. And by the way, as I'm saying this, if you are recalling that you've heard this before, that you shouldn't have to take action or you felt that way before that it was inferior to have to take action and better to manifest something with complete inaction.
then it is in your subconscious mind, which means it is at some level. impacting you. So just food for a thought. Cause I know this sounds very, very, very counterintuitive, but what happens is I've had people who get into this state of having a hard time getting themselves to follow through. They find themselves just spacing out or not doing much, or feeling really low energy, or, you know, not following through with things and just kind of staring out the window or just wanting to meditate all the time.
and not do anything. And by the way, you may have even heard [00:11:00] before where people might say, you know, we're not supposed to do anything. We're human beings, not human doings. Maybe you've even heard that saying before. So what can happen is you can get it linked up in your subconscious mind that it is less spiritual to take action.
That said, just because I know more and more people are actually ascribing to this thought, or at least getting it stuck in their subconscious mind, I wanna give you an analogy for a moment to give to your mind. And it's this, it's that. Imagine there is a bird that is flying through the sky and just soaring and it's beautiful, and then the bird hears that it is going to be more spiritual for it to sit and do.
Or even a cheetah that's running through a field and it stops and it's more spiritual for it to sit and just do nothing. Or a dog [00:12:00] running through a field and it's more spiritual for it to sit and do nothing. You can see that that doesn't make sense. You know, if you think about a bird, it flies, it swos, it's beautiful, it makes its nest.
It's doing things in life, and it is connected. You know, it knows when to fly south for the winter because it is spiritually connected. So our spiritual embodiment of. Does require physical activity, but also enjoying that physical activity. You know, just like a cheetah running or a bird soaring. You know, we are creators and so in life in right balance, we are.
Living life fully and enjoying and loving what we're doing and having a good time doing it, and manifesting and creating. And you know, even if you think about runners high, we can run or do things or be productive and it can feel incredible or dance or laugh or fall in [00:13:00] love or swim or all kinds of things.
I mean, being alive and full of life is spiritful. So that's something that you'll wanna keep in mind now. Even as I give these examples, I know a lot of people will think to themselves, of course, like this makes sense to be spiritful, right? That's living full of life, full of spirit. That's our spiritful connection.
However, you'll wanna make sure if you do have that underlying feeling of feeling like you shouldn't have to do anything. , you'll want to make sure to change it into blissful action. And let me explain. When you feel like you have a right to do something, it can get very stuck subconsciously, even if you consciously want to shift it.
And let me give you an example. I worked with a. Who was very sick [00:14:00] and he was in one of my classes, and the emotion that was connected to his health issues, he had a few of them, but one of them was a strong feeling of anger, and so I mentioned that to him. This anger towards his wife, and he immediately said, yes, I've had this anger for so long, and what had happened is his wife had an affair.
You know, she cheated on him 25 years or 20 something years prior. to that. And so he said that he had been trying to let go of the anger for so long, but it was just so strong inside of him, and he had tried so many different forms of mind programming and hypnotherapy and all of these different forms of mind programming and lp, et cetera, et cetera.
You know, he'd been trying to get rid of this emotion for a long period of time. And so something I had said to him is I said, well, let me ask you a. And I [00:15:00] said, can you see the part of you that feels that you have a right to be upset with her? And he said, yes, absolutely. I mean, she cheated on me. Of course I have a right.
She broke our vows. How can she do that? Of course, I have a right to be upset and angry about it. And of course I said to him, well, you know, that was 25 years ago. I said, if somebody robs a bank, They don't even get 25 years in prison. I said, so you're still punishing her for over 20 something years. And it was 25, something like that, years.
And in that moment he had an epiphany and I said, so are you a hundred percent sure that you have they right to be mad about this 25 years later? Are you certain about that? and his whole demeanor changed and he realized, [00:16:00] yes, she had made a mistake. Yes, that was not okay, but they had moved on. That was the plan.
And so him still having a right to be angry that many years later was no longer. Justified. And the beautiful thing is, is, I mean, he let go of the feeling of anger. He was, he actually just had tears in his eyes. He was just like, thank you. It was, it was beautiful. His whole demeanor changed and then we worked on a couple other specific emotions that were connected to his health issue.
And he was able to heal himself, which was really beautiful. And you know, if you've listened to past episodes and you've seen people release their own pain in minutes using only their minds, so, you know, he just made a radical change, which was really, really beautiful. Now, my point from this is, this is it.
Notice he had been trying to let go of the anger he wanted to, but at a deeper level, in his mind, he felt like he had a. To [00:17:00] still feel angry. Now, this is profound, and by the way, all the time people will think the same as this man where they mistakenly think that we just have to rewire the mind. It's just about rewiring and reprogramming.
But as he was able to see in this situation, there are certain emotions. That keep other emotions stuck. That's why there's layers. And so having a right to was actually a breakthrough in my work. So, you know, over the last 20 years in working with the mind, I have figured out specific things that keep the brain locked into place.
And by the way, that's part of the reason that I make it look so easy to work with the mind and help somebody to release pain. It's because there's all these little hidden rules with the mind that are in. that people don't realize that are happening. And so point being is that at a deeper level in the mind, if there is a part of you who feels like you shouldn't have to do anything for [00:18:00] spiritual reasons or any reasons, what'll happen is it'll keep you stuck.
It'll keep you from wanting to take action, even if your conscious mind is feeling like you want to take action. . If there is a part of you that feels like it is less spiritual or that you shouldn't have to, then it can keep you stuck. And I am seeing this more and more and more often from people who have a lot of motivation, but also have conflicting programming in their subconscious minds.
So that is something that you'll wanna watch out for. And. That is number three. So I mentioned they were getting a bit more counterintuitive. However, number two is more logical, and it is just that if somebody's out of integrity all of the time, that can keep you stuck. And I see that all of the time where people have maybe intentions that are out of integrity, where they're justifying them and either they feel.[00:19:00]
and like they can't get themselves to follow through, or that's also when they feel like they manifest a ton of distractions, this problem, that problem, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. So staying in integrity and making sure your desires are in integrity is so key. For moving forward. So that's number two.
And number one is also a bit counterintuitive, and it's this, when we stop and think about it for a moment, our emotions breed more of the same. So an example you may have heard me use or you may have heard before in psychology, is that unfortunately a woman can have an abusive father and leave him and find the abusive boyfriend, boss, spouse, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
You know, unfortunately, , that emotional pattern continues. Now, logically in this scenario, she's not saying, I want another man who's abusive. No. She's saying, I just want a man to love me. [00:20:00] Who's nice, who's kind, who wonderful. You know, she wants that consciously more than anything, but subconscious pattern.
breed more of the same. Now, something that I'm seeing a lot of is where people sit in a place of relaxation for long periods of time, where they're sitting in meditation or sitting in relaxation and they feel like that is the best place for them to be, you know, where they're meditating and they take it in that it feels good and they just want nothingness.
And then what happens? is, they're energetically stuck in that. So even though they know that there are things that they wanna do or get done, they feel lethargic or distracted or like they have a hard time even getting themselves to follow through. So if that is you, I strongly recommend changing that.
And by the way, I actually did this to my own brain when I was going through my injury. I had been meditating [00:21:00] for years and I found. More stuck. And even though there was times that of course I could relax myself and I could get some of the pain down, it didn't heal me. It didn't change my life. and it just made me space out a lot more.
And after a while, you know, years passing and all this, I, that's when I was like, wait a second, I gotta work with my brain in a different way. And so if that is you, if you notice your brain wanting to check out all the time, you know, you might, you've heard me say on past episodes, don't check out, check in.
Make those real changes on the inside. And so now, especially, there's not times when I. check out. I don't do that to my mind. Ever, ever, ever, ever, ever. I don't wanna just check out into nothingness because I don't want my life to reflect. nothingness, and that is key. So instead, if I wanna take time to just bliss out, I fall in love with life.
Like I'll take time and [00:22:00] fall in love with how blue and beautiful the sky is, or a bird soaring, or trees or you know, I love palm trees, so even that, or stars or the ocean or whatever it is. I'll sit and fall in love with something. But not be in a state of nothingness because again, I don't want my life to become nothingness.
And so either way, that feeling, if you have gotten yourself into that place where you've been being in a place of nothingness, you know, where you've just been meditating a lot. What I did is I really became conscious of it and again, started programming in excitement for life instead of nothingness. So I went through a period of time where I really had to shift it and you know, I started just working with my mind in a different way, which is what changed everything, you know, allowed me to heal myself and ultimately opened up this gift and ability to connect with energy and all kinds of things.
So just life changing for many reasons [00:23:00] and just. Created a different feeling towards life, you know, now it's easy to fall in love with life and be healthy and happy. So it's just beautiful. And of course that's what I want to invite you to do. So if going through these top seven reasons that people can get stuck in life, If you notice that you have been stuck in any of them, I strongly encourage you to shift them and to turn them into bliss and excitement and blissful action and enjoyment in life.
