In this 2021 archive highlight, Brandy Gillmore revisits a powerful session exploring anti-aging, healing, and the subconscious beliefs about aging that can quietly influence the body over time.
In working with Jennifer—a warm, caring woman who had been experiencing knee and foot pain for decades—Brandy began uncovering how Jennifer’s emotional relationship with aging was affecting her health. Jennifer had already undergone knee surgery, lived with foot pain for more than 20 years, and was considering a knee replacement when deeper emotional patterns came into focus.
This episode explores how healing naturally supports youthfulness by increasing cellular repair and vitality, and how emotional states such as fear, frustration, optimism, and positivity can directly influence the body’s ability to heal. Brandy explains why beliefs that link aging with decline or pain can slow healing, while shifting those beliefs can help restore balance and forward movement.
Another key insight highlighted is how Jennifer’s kind, accommodating nature made it difficult for her to set boundaries, leading to suppressed frustration. As these emotional patterns began to shift, Jennifer was able to observe changes in her body and begin moving out of pain—offering a clear example of the mind-body connection in action.
This episode invites a deeper look at aging, healing, and how changing subconscious emotional patterns can support health, vitality, and a more empowered experience of growing older

Hello and happy, beautiful day to you. I want to add in a quick but important note to make this podcast very easy to navigate because today’s episode has a special format. Today I worked with a live volunteer, and as you probably know, there are a lot of people who are now using AI to modify information online.
For that reason, we have taken an extra step to help protect our beautiful volunteer and the integrity of this work to help keep the information from being modified. And we actually love how this turned out because it provides you with even more information. This is how it works. On today’s episode, you’ll hear an overview of the person that I worked with, and I will provide you with simple but powerful breakthrough insights that helped our volunteer begin making a radical shift.
Then at the end of this short breakthrough episode, if you are ready for a deep dive, you can click in the show notes to gain access to the actual self-healing session where I worked directly with the live volunteer. This enables us to help protect the information online from being modified. While still continuing to provide you with powerful information to help bridge the gap between science and spirituality and personal empowerment, because it’s truly incredible what you are capable of when you learn to understand your mind at a deeper level.
That said, let’s dive into the simple but powerful insights that came from working with today’s volunteer. Here we go.
Welcome to today’s special edition archive episode for 2021. Now the theme for this episode has to do with anti-aging and embracing youth, and part of the reason that I chose this from the archive is just because this topic is so important to really look at a person’s beliefs regarding aging and illness, because so often people link up that as they get older they’re going to get sick or they’re going to have aches and pains and not only that, but then their emotions regarding it. I mean, it can create fear and there’s just all of these emotions. So that’s part of the reason that I chose this particular episode, is because the more that every single person in our world really feels a sense of health and vitality with aging. The better it is for everyone, the more it helps to really reset our cultural beliefs about aging and what that looks like.
So that’s one of the reasons. Also, I just love our volunteer today. She just has a beautiful heart and a wonderful Australian accent and, just, it’s just a really beautiful being. And on that note, I also want to acknowledge that you hear me say this all of the time, but we get the best volunteers. We just really, really do.
So shout out to all of the volunteers for this year. And again, the reason that I chose this particular episode is because of this topic, but the reality of it is, is you hear me share all of the time that as we have more and more positivity, it can help speed up. Healing and cellular proliferation and so really ultimately, healing and self-healing is always connected to anti-aging anyway. And a simple example where we can see this, and I’ll share with you a few examples, but a simple example is we’ve all seen somebody likely who has gone through a period of time in life where they’re feeling really stressed, and you may notice where they’re looking older or they’re having some more gray hairs, you can really see. The stress on them, and maybe you’ve seen before where somebody’s in a stressful relationship or stressful time and then they get out of the relationship and you look at them and you say, wow, you look great, or refreshed or younger or energized. And what actually happens is the body can actually speed up healing and it’s speeding up cell proliferation. So basically how fast cells grow and divide and grow and divide and replace old cells. So even the technical or medical example you hear me use all of the time is the research on people who have had surgery, who after their surgery, if they’re in a positive state, healing can happen even faster, but if they’re in a negative state and fear or frustration or anger or whatnot, it can actually slow down healing or increase chances of rehospitalization or even death. Now, that’s not only regarding surgery. The reason I use the example of surgery. Is because many times people might think mind body healing is all about, just mind over matter and you can see what surgery a person’s physically been cut open, and yet it still heals faster in a positive state.
So from that example, we can see there is a very real. Physical element to mind, body healing. And there are other studies as well, even on, research that is shown, like with, burns or whatnot. There’s research studies that do show that if a person is in a positive state, that their healing can happen even faster and if they’re in a negative state, it can take. Longer, more complications, et cetera. Now, so often to really activate this, it happens at a deeper, deeper level than just, thinking positive. It’s really about feeling positive at a deeper, deeper level. But either way, my point is just simply that healing is anti-aging.
In fact, my mother and I joke around about this all of the time is that. After I healed myself, my mother, she looked at me and she said, wow, you look so much younger. And of course I’m always joking and, laughing. And I said, wow, okay, well you didn’t tell me I looked old in the first place. And so she laughed but the reality is she was right. Like I looked a lot younger and more youthful. As I healed myself, and that’s one of the many positive, quote unquote side effects, if you will, to healing yourself other than of course changing your life. But to get your body to heal itself, we have to naturally speed up healing and so it does make you feel youthful and it is actually your body’s cells. Repairing and replacing at an optimal rate. So it does actually physically keep you more youthful as well. So there are a lot of benefits to it, which leads into our beautiful volunteer, Jennifer, who’s so heartfelt and so sweet and so caring, and some of the insights from her had to do with her feelings towards aging, but also her feelings towards boundaries.
Now, just the quick insights are this, is that she was experiencing physical pain. So she had pain both in her knee and she also had pain in her foot, and she had already had surgery on her knee, and yet. It was still giving her problems and she was looking at having a knee replacement, but she didn’t want to have one and she was kind of going back and forth with her doctor trying to figure out a plan, which is good because I always tell people, make sure to continue seeing your doctor, so I love that. And simultaneously she reached out and said, okay, I need to understand. Is affecting my knee, my foot. And she had had the foot pain for over 20 years and so there were several really powerful insights that came up for her, one of which was this, as part of her had this belief that that was aging. And also she had this feeling that she was. Mad about aging. Like she was just, ugh, this thing, aging, getting older, sucks type of feeling. Like it’s like, ugh, just mad and upset about the idea of getting older, which was then resulting in a lot of, of course, negative energy towards that and frustration, and of course, fear. When you look at getting older and you look at it in a way that says it’s going to be horrible or it’s all downhill from here. That isn’t optimism, that is future fear and some negative expectations going on and, that doesn’t create positive energy and positive emotions in your core and that is part of what was going on with her. And then another part is I mentioned she’s so sweet and lovely and wonderful, and she simultaneously also. Had some communication gaps where in being so nice and sweet, she also didn’t really excel at the skill of setting boundaries. And so what would happen is in her life, she felt like she was getting a bit run over or people weren’t listening, where she was just feeling frustrated that her boundaries weren’t listened to and she wasn’t heard at the level she wanted to be and, so there were multiple emotions going on and some frustrations and fears at a deeper level that of course, she was really good at suppressing because she had this sweet, wonderful smile with these frustrations going on at a deeper level. And so in this short episode, what I’m really wanting to highlight is the awareness towards anti-aging and also loving age, and also positive expectations about aging and feeling really, really good about it.
I mean, let’s be honest, we’ve probably all seen a 70-year-old who. Looks really old. And we have also seen a 70-year-old who is very youthful. And our mindset really does affect our health, our happiness, our lives, our future, who we become, our life and by the way, on another quick note, personal note real quick. As I was working on healing myself during my injury and getting better, and I was starting to practice walking without my cane, I would walk with this wonderful neighbor. She was like another, friend, mother to me because she was a lot older than I was, but just this beautiful friendship that we had and she would go walking with me as I was working on practicing, walking and practicing running. And we would just, we would laugh. But my point is she also, she was in her late seventies and she would go play tennis and she would come home and sometimes she would just laugh and she’d also be like a little perturbed that there’s 94-year-old, it was a 93 or 94-year-old, I can’t remember exactly, but would beat her at tennis and it just made me so delighted and both of us, we would said, you know what? That’s, so impressive. Just this woman would beat her in tennis in her nineties, and just fit and incredible. And by the way, on that note, this beautiful neighbor that I’m talking about, I’m going to have my team leave a link in the show notes if you want to see this beautiful woman, because there is a very sweet video that her and I did after I healed because she didn’t think I was going to heal. Nobody thought that I was going to actually heal, and it was beautiful because she watched me heal myself, but then to go walking together and whatnot. It was just a really heart touching sweet video. So if you’d like to see that it is in the show notes, but just an absolute sweetheart but either way, my point is, is just exactly that is that, in this particular episode with our beautiful volunteer Jennifer, where she was hating aging and frustrated and had all of these beliefs that as you age, you just get all these aches and pains and you feel horrible. And that was her expectation and then she had the feeling of hating aging. And so it was just creating that negativity that was then creating more and more of the problem. And so, of course, as she started letting it go. She was able to release her pain, and of course that’s the goal is maintaining that.
It is so important to create that real shift all of the way, to create healing and lasting healing results. And so that of course, is the key. And if you’d like to listen to the full episode with Jennifer, you can do so by clicking the link in the show notes. Also, if you want to watch that short video with my neighbor and I, you can do so. It is. So sweet. She’s just absolutely a beautiful, beautiful human being and then lastly, there is the free training in the show notes as well.
