Welcome to Heal Yourself, Change Your Life.
My name is Brandy Gillmore, and after recovering from my own life-changing injury, it’s become my mission to share with others the same discoveries I made that changed my health and my entire life. Our minds are truly incredible. The placebo is proof of this.
Each week, I will take this simple awareness to a whole new level. I will even coach live callers to free themselves of physical pain using only their mind. Then, I’ll provide you with a combination of practical and spiritual insights that you can use to master your mind, your emotions, and your energy to help you heal your health, yourself, and your life.
Let’s begin.
Understanding the Fear of Change
Hello and happy beautiful day to you! On today’s episode, I want to talk about the importance of overcoming the fear of change or even invisible fears that might be surrounding you. These are fears you may try to suppress but can still impact you.
Think about it for a moment. Imagine someone driving a car in heavy fog. How do they usually drive? Nervously, cautiously, and with tension in their body. When people drive in heavy fog or rain, they can’t see the road ahead, and you can see the mind-body connection in action. Their uncertainty and fear are reflected physically: they tense up, stress builds, and this directly affects their nervous system.
Now, think about our beautiful volunteer Kelly from a recent episode. Kelly had fears tied to her relationship, specifically guilt and judgment related to her father. Although she deeply loves her father, those fears created tension that even triggered physical pain when I brought up the subject.
This example highlights how invisible fears—whether it’s fear of judgment, the future, or change—can keep people stuck. It’s like driving in fog; these fears build tension, affect your nervous system, and ultimately impact your ability to heal or transform your life.
The Power of Overcoming Fear
Healing often involves wanting change while simultaneously fearing it. For example, a person who has been injured for a long time may deeply desire healing but feel afraid of what that change might bring. This can create an internal conflict—wanting to heal yet feeling stuck.
Whether you’re trying to manifest a better life, relationship, or healing, learning to embrace change with excitement and confidence is key. Overcoming the fear of change allows you to move forward in life with ease, rather than holding yourself back with hesitation.
If you look around the world, many people feel like they’re living in fog—uncertain, stressed, and clutching onto fear. This can impact not only health but also happiness, relationships, and overall quality of life. Conversely, feeling good, happy, and positive contributes to better healing, love, and overall well-being.
Developing a Vision for Your Life
If you’re experiencing fear of change, it’s important to create a vision for what you want in life. Not just a hopeful, “I wish this happens” kind of vision, but a clear, confident, and assertive one. This allows you to take actionable steps towards your goals, which builds confidence and strengthens your sense of direction.
Think of this as creating your own “North Star.” When you feel grounded in your vision and confident in your ability to take steps forward, you’ll naturally begin to release fear and feel safer in life. This approach can transform how you navigate challenges and move you closer to your dreams and healing goals.
Real-World Fear and Finding Strength
Let’s be honest: there are a lot of changes happening in the world today. Many people are feeling fear and uncertainty—about the future, politics, the state of the world, or their personal situations.
If you’re feeling this way, I want to emphasize that you’re not alone. I’ve been there myself. During my injury, I lived in fear—fear of not recovering, fear of staying in pain forever, and fear of my future.
This fear held me back until I made the decision to rewire my subconscious mind and create a shift. It wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. If you’re currently experiencing fear and saying, “But Brandy, my situation is real,” I completely understand. I know how hard it can be. However, rewiring your mind at a deeper level is key for healing and transformation.
Practical Steps to Overcome Fear
One simple yet powerful first step is to develop a clear vision of what you want and begin moving toward it assertively. When I was recovering from my injury, this was one of the first things I did. It gave me direction and helped me focus my energy on creating positive change.
Change doesn’t happen overnight. It requires consistent effort, but the rewards are worth it. Whether your fear is related to healing, the world, or personal growth, having a strong vision and feeling confident in it can help you move forward.
I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on your own life. What is your vision? What steps can you take today to feel stronger and more aligned with where you want to go?
The Importance of Sharing
As we wrap up today’s quick IQ episode, I want to ask you to share this insight with someone who might need it. It could be someone you love, someone you care about, or even someone you don’t know. When more people are happy, healthy, loved, and loving, the world becomes a better place for everyone.
I know this might seem like a simple concept, but it’s also incredibly profound. Too often, people try to create change in their lives while still feeling fearful or uncertain on the inside. This internal conflict can prevent things from unfolding the way they truly desire.
By developing confidence in your vision and embracing change with excitement, you can shift your energy and set the stage for healing and transformation.
A Personal Reflection
During my injury, I spent years lost in fear, which only made my situation worse. I understand firsthand how easy it is to lose yourself in fear and let it consume your life. However, I also know how powerful it can be to take back control by focusing on your vision and building confidence in your ability to achieve it.
This is why I encourage you to take today’s insight seriously, even if it feels simple. Your nervous system, your healing, and your life will thank you for it.

Wishing you a wonderful, happy, and healthy day, and I look forward to connecting with you on the next episode.
