Welcome to Heal Yourself. Change Your Life. I’m Brandy Gillmore and what I’m most known for is helping people to create radical transformations and even demonstrating the power of the mind and self-healing under medical equipment so you can see the results and. My work has even been published in a medical journal because it’s truly incredible what we are all capable of when we understand our own minds at a deeper level.
So whether you’re new to this work or you’ve been studying the Power of the Mind for many years. I love that you are here. I love that we’re on this incredible journey together, and I look forward to sharing breakthrough information with you. That said, on this podcast, I’ll share two types of episodes.
First, self-healing episodes, where I share key insights from working with live volunteers. And the second type are where I answer questions from the audience. That said, if you’d like to volunteer or submit a question, come visit me at BrandyGillmore.com. On that note, let’s dive in.
For today’s quick insight, I want to share with you two key things that you can do to start shifting feelings of fear or feeling afraid in your life, because so often people will feel these feelings of suppressed fear, where they’re trying to really just suppress it and keep going through life, and yet.
These feelings can of course affect a person’s health, happiness, life, relationships. You know, when you think about it for a moment, these feelings of fear really can affect every single part of your life. And so, you know, so often, especially, you know, when things are going on in the world, people can feel a sense of fear that is like heavy.
And I know that me personally. Previously, like, you know, during my injury and whatnot, if you had asked me if I was in fear, I would’ve said no because I was suppressing it and trying to think positively on top of it. And so it was all of this suppressed emotions that I was just trying to push through, if you will, and yet so often at a deeper, deeper level.
This nagging feeling of fear or feeling afraid can kind of seep in to a person’s life. And so that’s what I want to share today is just two quick tips. And part of the reason that is of course, is because you know, right now in our world, so often people are going from one fear topic to another. You know, maybe it’s feeling in fear towards COVID, but then towards this event or that event, you know, it’s just like one thing after another.
That’s one of the changes that I made in my own life is I started to see that there were so many patterns of fear. There’s always a fear story, if you will, and I’ve worked with people literally who were, you know, 60, 70, 80, 90 years old who said they thought they would never live to that age because they always thought the world was going to end.
Like there’s always this fear story that says, you know, like even in Y 2K. That the world was going to end, or the Mayan calendar or the ozone, the hole in the ozone. So there’s always like this fear story. And of course. I’m not saying not to take action at all, but so often people get sucked into the fear that keeps them from really showing up as their best self or showing up in life and still being able to enjoy life.
And you know, if we use COVID as an example, there were a lot of people who were very sucked into fear than there were other people who were sucked into anger or upset or frustration. I mean, there were just so many different emotions. And ultimately what I would invite you to do is this, is that when you start to think about it making a point not to get sucked into all these things.
And that’s one of the things that I told myself was this just going through life and realizing how often that fear story shows up. And one of the things that I really changed in my life was. Once I started to see it was a pattern that it’s always showing up in one way or another between nine 11 or, or, you know, Y 2K or, or you know, just all of the events.
It’s like I could see that there’s always that fear story that we could get sucked into. And even in working with people who, you know, again, people 70, 80, 90, who said they didn’t feel like they would live that long because of the fear stories. They felt like the world’s gonna end here. The world’s gonna end here.
And so my point is, is that starting to create the change, what can happen is, is when you see the pattern is not getting sucked into it. You know, for example, even during the time with COVID, when a lot of people were initially even sucked into fear. My initial response was, okay, this is another fear story.
Now, of course, I’m not trying to make it small for anybody who was, but what I’m saying is even with Y 2K type of things, or the Mayan calendar or the the things that are else, the other things that are going on in the world, like every single time there’s a big fear story. And what happens is if we get sucked into that fear.
We can’t really show up the way we want. So what I started to mention during COVID, for example, when a lot of people were sucked into fear, I started doing uplift calls. You know, mind uplift calls, community uplift calls for positivity to help people to not get sucked in. So I wasn’t sucked in, and I also really started doing things to just help support more people.
Now my point is. Is that even if there is something that happens in the world, it’s like if you’re really, really, really in fear and triggered, the response isn’t the best. So the analogy, if you think about it in this way, if you think about if there is a, like if, um, elementary students or middle school students or whatnot, and in school there’s the fire alarm, if you will, where there’s people, you know, what happens if the fire alarm goes off?
What do you do? People line up single file real, like stay calm, don’t panic and get out of the building. Because what happens is, is if there’s a fire alarm and everybody panics. A lot of people don’t make it. It doesn’t go typically very well. My point is, is that even if there’s something that’s going on, the more that we can stay calm in any situation, the better that you’re going to respond, the better it is for your health, your life, your happiness, all of that.
And so the first insight that I want to share with you is exactly that, is number one really realizing. There’s a pattern and that it keeps going. And then it’s like one minute, it’s this situation. The next minute it’s this. The next minute it’s this. The next minute it’s this. And when you start to realize.
This is a pattern. It’s like you stop getting sucked into it. So in other words, like when, when COVID happened, for example, you know, uh, in the very, very beginning, like I init, that is exactly what I said. I said, oh, here comes another fear story, right Here it comes, okay, we’re gonna be fine. You know, because that’s my programming.
And so, okay, how can I show up? Right? So, or other situations it’s like, okay, here’s another fear story. I’m not gonna get sucked in. Here we go. So that’s one insight that I want to share with you is that even if things are going crazy and all of the world and this, that, the other, that showing up and going, oh, this is another fear story and not getting sucked in, is helpful.
Now, of course, that doesn’t mean not taking action. So notice the analogy or the example that I gave about the fire alarm right now. It’s not like if a, when we. Practice fire alarms in, in middle school or whatever. Um. They don’t tell you remain calm and just sit there instead. What is the process for a fire alarm?
The fire alarm goes off. You get single, single file. You remain calm, you walk out of the building. My point is we can still take action on things, but from a place of empowerment, a place of wisdom, a place of doing what needs to be done. So it’s, so it’s not, don’t do anything, but it’s. Also just saying, don’t get triggered into that fear, that afraid, that terrified, that triggered feeling and sit there because so often there can be things going on and people sit there in fear and they’re feeling that.
And so those are the two insights that I wanna share. And one of them is having that programming. Just like I had that programming where I said, okay, it’s the fear story again. Lemme not get sucked in. How do I want to show up? So that’s number two is exactly that. Is, is there an action to take? Because so often there can be some type of action.
It’s like if somebody’s driving towards a cliff, there can be fear. If somebody’s not showing up in a relationship, they might fear that their partner’s going to leave them or something like that because they’re just gone all the time, or what. So my point is, in that situation. They’d want to do what?
Start showing up, show up with love, with connection, with sweetness. So my point is, is, is also if there’s an action to take, make sure to take that action now. That’s the insight that I want to share. Now, to be honest with you, fear can be completely counterintuitive. There’s a lot of deeper things that going that can happen where you know, a person may feel a sense of.
Uh, counterintuitive, for example. So sometimes what can also happen is people may feel a pattern of victim in life and if they feel themselves as a victim. Then they might have ongoing feelings of fear and whatnot, show up because they identify as being a victim. So there are other things as well.
Absolutely. And, and creating a change at a deeper level, um, in the subconscious mind is key for really, really healing and rewiring the pattern. And so there, there is definitely more to do in the subconscious mind, but the reason that I wanted to leave this insight is because I know right now with more and more things going on in the world, so often people are getting sucked in and they’re fearful, and then health issues are going up where more and more people are getting diagnosed with, you know, they, the stress issues or, or, or whatnot.
There’s, there’s impact or they’re stressed or they’re not as. Happy in relationship and they’re stressed or they’re fearful and, and, and so that’s the reason that I wanted to share this is just to remind you to remember, to remember not to get sucked into the fear and the fear story. That I’ve seen so many people that are getting impacted by that.
The anger, the upset, the fear, and then it kind of, it, it hijacks their life, their happiness, their health, and everything that’s going on. So instead, if we can remain in a, in a resourceful mindset and understand and, and not get sucked in. But even still take action from a healthier place, a better mindset, that of course is key.
So those are the quick insights that I wanted to share today. And of course, if you are somebody who is working on healing yourself, there is also a link for a free training in the show notes.
