Welcome to Heal Yourself. Change Your Life. I’m Brandy Gillmore and what I’m most known for is helping people to create radical transformations and even demonstrating the power of the mind and self-healing under medical equipment so you can see the results and my work has even been published in a medical journal because it’s truly incredible what we are all capable of when we understand our own minds at a deeper level.
So whether you’re new to this work or you’ve been studying the power of the mind for many years, I love that you are here. I love that we’re on this incredible journey together, and I look forward to sharing breakthrough information with you. That said, on this podcast, I’ll share two types of episodes.
First, self-healing episodes, where I share key insights from working with live volunteers. And the second type are where I answer questions from the audience. That said, if you’d like to volunteer or submit a question, come visit me at BrandyGillmore.com. On that note, let’s dive in.
Hello and happy, beautiful day to you. I want to add in a quick but important note to make this podcast very easy to navigate because today’s episode has a special format. Today I worked with a live volunteer, and as you probably know, there are a lot of people who are now using AI to modify information online.
For that reason, we have taken an extra step to help protect our beautiful volunteer and the integrity of this work to help keep the information from being modified. And we actually love how this turned out because it provides you with even more information. This is how it works. On today’s episode, you’ll hear an overview of the person that I worked with, and I will provide you with simple but powerful breakthrough insights that helped our volunteer begin making a radical shift.
Then at the end of this short breakthrough episode, if you are ready for a deep dive, you can click in the show notes to gain access to the actual self-healing session where I worked directly with the live volunteer. This enables us to help protect the information online from being modified while still continuing to provide you with powerful information to help bridge the gap between science and spirituality and personal empowerment because it’s truly incredible what you are capable of when you learn to understand your mind at a deeper level. That said, let’s dive into the simple but powerful insights that came from working with today’s volunteer. Here we go.
Hello and welcome to today’s Self-Healing Insight. Now, today I worked with a beautiful volunteer. Her name is Doris, and there are so many things that I love about her and the session in working with her, just a lot of really powerful insights and so first and foremost, one of the things that I love about her is of course, her sense of humor, but also the amount of love that she has for her son.
It is just really beautiful. In fact, as I was working with her, you could just feel it. You could just feel how much she loves her son and cares about her son and also, as we were talking, you could also start to feel how much guilt she has towards him and feeling bad. And that’s part of where I want to go today, is that ultimately she’s been experiencing vision loss as part of what’s going on with her health.
And as we started to really look at what is connected to that, part of it had to do with a feeling of guilt towards her son and just feeling bad about her son, basically not having a father growing up. Now it goes deeper than that, and so as we were talking about her and her son, now first and foremost, he’s an amazing gentleman. He grew up, he’s happy, he’s married, he’s successful. He’s a wonderful human being. And so I love that. And, really, so there was no real reason, so to speak, for her to be feeling guilty because ultimately her and her son do have a really great relationship.
But that’s part of the insight. That what was going on at an even deeper level is that she still had a lot of hurt, a lot of anger and upset towards her ex-husband. And so part of that, she blamed her for the divorce, and it was just all of these underlying emotions. And so the insight that I want to invite you to take from this is this, is that so often people can feel guilt or upset or anger about one situation.
It can affect their relationship with someone or something completely different. In other words, in this situation it had to do with her ex-husband, but the amount of anger and upset it was then affecting her relationship with her son in the current moment. And by the way, the relationship was like years ago, 30, 40, like it is a long time ago.
But she had been holding onto that guilt just for so long. So that is one insight is that if you have any type of anger or unresolved issue in your life, so often these things can come up and they can feel like they’re impacting one part of your life. And yet impact several others including health. So that’s one insight just to look at and resolve those issues.
It’s so important, and especially because a lot of times when people have these old hurts, they tend to bury them. Think they’re gone. But so often what we realize is, and that’s exactly what happened during the session as I was working with our beautiful volunteer is, that as I started to bring it up, she could see that she had a lot of old unresolved anger there.
And so that’s one insight. And by the way, another insight from that is, is under that anger, there was also a lot of feelings of blame, which is the reason that it also ended up with feelings of guilt towards her son and self-blame because some of the self-blame was feeling like it was her fault. And so it was just all of these mixed emotions affecting herself, her health, her son except or her relationship with her son.
So just. so many different feelings, so unresolved issues. Definitely cleaning those up. So that is one insight is just to look at, if there is something going on in your life or in your past, if there are peripheral things connected to that, because so often that can impact your health. So that is one insight to look at.
Now, the second insight, which kind of made me laugh as she said this, because she’s hilarious. As I was working with her, we were laughing multiple times, but as we were looking at the pattern of anger, because that’s part of what was going on towards her ex-husband, but as we were looking at the pattern of anger, there was another issue that came up and it has to do with politics and news and stuff like that. And so she was having all of this anger and these upset feelings. Now, what was funny about it is that she said, I thought that didn’t count. And just the way she said it, her delivery was brilliant and beautiful. And that’s the insight that I want to share with you is that so often people will think, well, if it’s politics or if it’s something not related then it doesn’t quote unquote, count for illness or healing. But think about it like this for a moment. If somebody has anxiety because of the news, could that affect their health? Sure. Could they have a panic attack? Sure. So my point is, that anything that can create an emotional trigger or emotional response or reaction.
It can definitely affect your health. And so, if we just bring this to simplicity for a moment, if somebody’s embarrassed, their face can turn red. So you can see the mind body connection. If somebody’s having anxiety, they can have a panic attack. So you can see the mind body connection.
And so if somebody’s watching the news and they’re feeling anger or resentment or victim or hurt it can, in fact, it can impact their health. In fact, I see that all of the time. I’ve seen people working on healing themselves and making progress and feeling good, and then suddenly there’s something on the news that triggers them or resentment or something’s changing in politics and it triggers them and, I’ve seen it so often, and so on that note, if you’re working on healing yourself, I’d strongly recommend being consciously aware of what you’re doing when it comes to the news. Now, I’m going to tell you in my own situation, when I was working on healing myself, which was 15 plus… many years ago, I actually stayed away from the news because I needed that at that time. I was such a mess that hearing fear or being around more and more and more fear wouldn’t have been helpful for me.
So it wouldn’t have been helpful for anybody else. I was not in a good state and so inundating my mind with more and more and more fears would not have been helpful. But I got to tell you, some people, if they don’t watch the news, they might feel some fear or whatnot, which that is some deeper level programming of really getting rid of that.
My point is that you decide for you. I think in the place where I am at now, I can watch the news and be informed as long as I do so in a responsible way and be informed, and I’m not feeling a lot of triggers and emotions because I have a different perspective on it now. Now I can look at it with compassion.
I can look at it with understanding and it’s a different feeling where I have, if you will, like a feeling of confidence in life, in the universe, in things unfolding and still have compassion for the things that people are going through. So now my mindset is solid with it. My emotions are good with it.
I’m fine as long as I’m not inundating my mind with it. I wouldn’t do that. I’m honestly good at filtering the amount of stuff that I inundate my mind with. So I don’t go watch horror films and things like that. I don’t want to put all that stuff in my brain. I definitely like to take good care of my brain, and so I don’t program stuff like that in. I don’t. Now as far as news goes, again, during my injury time, I literally said, okay, I am not going to watch anything that could create any type of fear or stress or anything like that, because I wanted to heal so badly. And all of the time I’ll see people who, see something on the news or they hear about something in the news and they’re resentful, or they’re angry or they’re, distrusting.
They’re feeling this feeling of distrust towards life or towards people or whatnot. And it sets them backwards in their healing journey, or keeps them stuck from healing or triggers them in the same way. And so during my injury, for me, I was already feeling enough fear. If, you’ve heard my story, you know that part of what my trigger, there were several pieces, but part of it had to do with the events from nine eleven.
And so for me, to then fill my mind with more things of fear around my life and my world and whatnot would have kept me from getting the results that I wanted. And so that’s the insight that I want to share with you. Just because again, as I was working with her, she literally even said in, in the sweetest way, she was like, I thought politics doesn’t count. That news, politics, all of that doesn’t count.
And yet she had so much anger towards politics and what was going on in the world. That of course, that’s the trigger. So it can continue to feed the problem. And so I just wanted to expand on this because so often I see people who think that it doesn’t matter. And I’ll see them, they’re working on healing and yet maybe they’re posting on social media hatred towards this or that, or victim like, oh this is unfair, that’s unfair. And unfortunately. I can see why they are feeling stuck…It can absolutely keep them from healing themselves. And so just food for thought. And again, coming back to just simplicity, because you hear so many different opinions and things and whatnot, but just bring it back to simplicity and think about it in this way.
If somebody feels fear from the news, could that create a stress response in the body? Sure. If somebody’s feeling anxiety from something they’re watching, could that create a stress response or a panic attack, so to speak, in the physical body? Yes. So we can use logic to say we can see that the mind body connection can be activated just by watching the news and by the emotions that a person experiences.
And so just food for thought, paying attention to your energy, your emotions, what’s happening, and really working on creating that shift. Because you’ll hear me say all of the time, it does take a real, real, real change. It’s not just positive thinking. You really, really need to rewire your mind at a deeper level to get the results that you want.
So that is key. And of course there were so many other insights, but I wanted to share these just because I know that they can impact so many people. So those are two of the insights. And if you’d like to listen to the actual live session itself where I worked with her, one-on-one, you can do so by clicking the link in the show notes. So if you click that, it’ll take you right to the session where I worked with her. So there is that available.
