Have you ever worked and worked to release a childhood pattern, only to find that somehow it keeps coming back?
Maybe you thought you had finally let it go… and then suddenly, there it is again.
In this episode, Brandy shares a powerful insight from a recent session with a beautiful volunteer named Gia.
As they begin working with a pattern connected to childhood, something important starts to emerge:
There may be a reason some childhood patterns remain surprisingly difficult to release, even after years of understanding them, processing them, and trying to change them.
And it may not be what most people think.
Sometimes we can understand exactly where a pattern came from and still wonder:
Why is this still here?
Why does it keep resurfacing?
Why does it feel like part of me wants to change while another part seems completely stuck?
During this session, Brandy identifies a distinction that can completely change the way you think about working with old emotional patterns.
If you have ever felt frustrated because you know where a childhood pattern came from but still cannot seem to fully release it, this episode may help you see the puzzle from a very different angle.
Sometimes the key to changing an old pattern is hidden somewhere we have not been taught to look.

Welcome to Heal Yourself. Change Your Life. I’m Brandy Gillmore, and what I’m most known for is helping people to create radical transformations, and even demonstrating the power of the mind and self-healing under medical equipment so you can see the results. And my work has even been published in a medical journal because it’s truly incredible what we are all capable of when we understand our own minds at a deeper level.
So whether you’re new to this work or you’ve been studying the power of the mind for many years, I love that you’re here. I love that we’re on this incredible journey together, and I look forward to sharing breakthrough information with you. That said, on this podcast, I’ll share two types of episodes.
First, self-healing episodes where I share key insights from working with live volunteers. And the second type are where I answer questions from the audience. That said, if you’d like to volunteer or submit a question, come visit me at BrandyGillmore.com. On that note, let’s dive in.
Hello and happy beautiful day to you. I want to add in a quick but important note to make this podcast very easy to navigate because today’s episode has a special format. Today, I worked with a live volunteer, and as you probably know, there are a lot of people who are now using AI to modify information online.
For that reason, we have taken an extra step to help protect our beautiful volunteer and the integrity of this work to help keep the information from being modified. And we actually love how this turned out because it provides you with even more information. This is how it works. On today’s episode, you’ll hear an overview of the person that I worked with, and I will provide you with simple but powerful breakthrough insights that helped our volunteer begin making a radical shift.
Then, at the end of this short breakthrough episode, if you are ready for a deep dive, you can click in the show notes to gain access to the actual self-healing session where I worked directly with the live volunteer. This enables us to help protect the information online from being modified while still continuing to provide you with powerful information to help bridge the gap between science and spirituality and personal empowerment, because it’s truly incredible what you are capable of when you learn to understand your mind at a deeper level.
That said, let’s dive into the simple but powerful insights that came from working with today’s volunteer. Here we go.
Hello, and happy, beautiful day to you. Have you ever felt before like you were struggling to let go of childhood patterns and yet no matter what you did, they just didn’t want to release? And you felt like you were trying and yet… Or maybe sometimes you felt like you got rid of it, and then it still popped its head up.
You know, I hear that so often from people where they’re trying to make a change for healing, love, relationship transformation, and yet there’s that stuck pattern from childhood. And what I love is that today I worked with a beautiful volunteer. Her name is Gia, and there was a really profound insight that came up.
Well, several profound insights, but one of them was regarding letting childhood patterns go, if you will, because there can be that stuckness. And so that’s what I want to share. And even if we just make it simple, we can look at it like this As I was working with her, and she’s been struggling with muscular dystrophy, and so ultimately she came and joined today and worked with a session for healing.
And, and what I love, by the way, is she was able to feel the difference in her weakness in her body. So she was able to s- feel, uh, physical shifts, so I love that. But part of what we worked on had to do with some childhood patterns regarding her father. Now, as we were talking about this topic of her father and these childhood patterns, you could tell there was some resistance to change.
Like, she was resisting the change. Now, that’s the point that I want to take and highlight for a moment is this, is that so often people are working with their childhood self to try to release patterns when the truth of it is their adult self doesn’t yet want to let it go. And so imagine somebody’s childhood self trying to fight with the adult self, and let’s be honest, we as adults can be stubborn at times.
And so, so often I see that where a person’s not actually ready to let it go or wanting to let it go in the now, and yet they’ve been struggling with childhood wounds for years, 20 years, trying to make changes. And that’s the reason, by the way, that in my process, I call it reverse emotional processing, is because what I found going through my injury and as I started working with my own mind, what I found is that we need to do things in reverse order, which is basically just reverse from what we’ve learned, reverse from the, what, what the norm is.
Meaning that if we work with things in the now and get the adult self to want to let it go in the now, everything becomes easier. And when you stop and think about it, it sounds logical. You know? If you think about trying to get a childhood self to let go of the pattern when the adult self doesn’t want to, you kind of…
You can see the logic in it. And by the way, you notice a lot of my tools and techniques that I, that I’ve discovered about working with the mind to be able to get the results that I do, they’re very logical because that’s how I was approaching healing, was exactly that. And, and so, and that’s how I’ve been able to take people and show them how to release pain and create all kinds of changes, even under medical equipment, so you can see the power of the mind.
The way I’ve been able to do that is by working with the mind in a different way. And so this little distinction, if you will, is profound. And so that’s the insight or one of the insights. There’s another one as well, but that’s one of the insights that I want to share with you today is exactly that, is if your adult self does not yet want to let things go, it’s going to be very hard to let your childhood self let things go, and that’s the reason that I always ask people to start in the now of really wanting to create that change.
So that’s, again, reverse emotional processing, and it’s about doing it reverse, opposite of what everybody else is doing. So that is one insight. Now, the second insight, which I love, by the way, and our, our volunteer, uh, Gia, just a beautiful, beautiful being, beautiful heart, caring, sweet, just a really, really kind being.
So much respect for her and the way she shows up, and what I love is this, is that I said to her… I had started to push some on creating the change, and I said, “Well, I’m not gonna push you too much,” because I, I could tell there was a lot of, you know, frustration and anger behind this pattern. And what I love is she said, “No, no, no, push me.
Push me. I need to be pushed more.” And I love that awareness. And so often, you know, that, that’s, you know, if you’ve seen me work with people, that’s what I do is I create that push. And, and that’s the insight that I want to share with you is because when you stop and think about it, so often we hear in, you know, spirituality or self-help, you know, just to be so delicate with the self.
And yes, loving to self, but also sometimes we do need to push ourselves a bit. You know, even if you think about, um, I mean, if you stop and think about the way that we were born, you know, we, we come into this life, there’s a, there’s a push, okay? If we’re gonna have a child, I mean, imagine telling a woman who’s nine months old, “Don’t push.”
Okay? That’s a problem. And so my point is, is that sometimes people will say it’s not spiritual to push. Again, tell that to a woman who’s nine months pregnant. “Don’t push.” If life didn’t want us to ever push, delivery would be set up and birth would be set up in a lot different way. And so, and it’s not just humans.
I mean, animals need to push for birth. So my point is there are times when we do need to push ourselves a little bit, to step outside of our comfort zone or to be willing to create a change or if we’re feeling a bit stubborn, to really push ourselves to say, “You know what? I’ve got to do this.” And, and by the way, during my own injury, I literally told myself exactly that.
I was like… I felt like- I, I felt so depleted and tired and exhausted and drained and in pain, and beyond depleted, beyond fatigued. I wasn’t sleeping. I was in so much pain, and I was a mess. And I pushed myself. I said, “You know what? I’ve got, I’ve got to do this. I have to do this. I have to change. I must, I must, I must.”
I pushed myself, absolutely. And so that’s the insight that I want to share also because so often people are afraid of that feeling of pushing themselves or stepping into their strength, but that’s key. And actually, even if you think about last week’s podcast episode where I worked with a beautiful volunteer, Samantha, you know, part of that energy of working with her where she went from a level seven, eight of pain to about a zero of pain in 30 minutes, part of that what we talked about at the end, we talk about, you know, stepping into your strength and really stepping into your strength and feeling that to the next level.
And, and, and so my point is, is that sometimes that’s the very thing. And what I also loved is that working with today’s volunteer, she was exactly there. She said like, “Push. I need that.” And I just, I, I love that awareness. I love that she was able to see that shift, and of course she did it, and a br- beautiful, beautiful being.
But just kind of inviting you to think about that in your own life because so often, let’s be honest How many people would you say get stuck on the self-healing journey where they’re stuck unable to change their patterns, stuck unable to let go of childhood patterns or whatever it is, stuck? I see people who are stuck all of the time, and sometimes it does take a little push to really create that change.
And so, and, and, and again, kindness in the push, you know? So food for thought, creating that real, real change in your life is of course key for getting results. And even with Gia just really, really, really following through to create that real change. And, and by the way, there were so many other really powerful insights.
She’s just a really beautiful being. So if you’re wanting to listen to that entire session with her, there’s a link in the show notes where you can listen to the actual session where I worked with her, and that was really, really beautiful and sweet and just she did a fantastic job, so I love that. Or if you are somebody who would like to understand more how I’ve been able to get results even under medical equipment, there is also a link in the show notes for a free training where you can understand how I’ve been able to get results even under medical equipment so you can see the power of the mind because it is truly incredible what we’re all capable of.
And so on that note, I wanna ask you, please do take just a quick moment to hit the share button on this episode. You know, share it with somebody you love, somebody you care about, or somebody you don’t even know because the more that every single person in our world feels healthy and happy and loved and loving, truly the better this world is for all of us.
And so please do take just a quick moment to hit the share button, and please do have an incredible rest of your day. I look forward to connecting with you on the next episode. We’ll see you there.
