What if the very thing your mind believes is helping you heal is actually keeping you stuck?
In this powerful short breakthrough episode, Brandy shares insights from her session with Lori, a driven, successful woman who had built a thriving business and a beautiful life on paper, yet found herself stuck in anxiety, unable to work, and filled with hurt in her relationship.
As Brandy worked with Lori, a surprising pattern surfaced: the harder Lori tried to fix things, the more stuck she felt.
In this episode, Brandy unpacks why this can happen, how the mind can get wired to hold onto patterns that feel helpful but are actually creating more anxiety, pressure, guilt, and self-sabotage, and why true transformation often requires changing the very pattern the mind thinks it needs.
You'll discover:
If you've ever felt anxious, overwhelmed, or like you've tried everything but still feel stuck, this episode offers a powerful new perspective on self-healing, how the mind works, and genuine transformation.

So whether you’re new to this work or you’ve been studying the power of the mind for many years, I love that you are here. I love that we’re on this incredible journey together, and I look forward to sharing breakthrough information with you. That said, on this podcast, I’ll share two types of episodes.
First, self-healing episodes where I share key insights from working with live volunteers, and the second type are where I answer questions from the audience. That said, if you’d like to volunteer or submit a question, come visit me at BrandyGillmore.com. On that note, let’s dive in
Hello and happy beautiful day to you. I want to add in a quick but important note to make this podcast very easy to navigate because today’s episode has a special format. Today, I worked with a live volunteer, and as you probably know, there are a lot of people who are now using AI to modify information online.
For that reason, we have taken an extra step to help protect our beautiful volunteer and the integrity of this work to help keep the information from being modified. And we actually love how this turned out because it provides you with even more information. This is how it works. On today’s episode, you’ll hear an overview of the person that I worked with, and I will provide you with simple but powerful breakthrough insights that helped our volunteer begin making a radical shift.
Then at the end of this short breakthrough episode, if you are ready for a deep dive, you can click in the show notes to gain access to the actual self-healing session where I worked directly with the live volunteer. This enables us to help protect the information online from being modified while still continuing to provide you with powerful information to help bridge the gap between science and spirituality and personal empowerment, because it’s truly incredible what you are capable of when you learn to understand your mind at a deeper level.
That said, let’s dive into the simple but powerful insights that came from working with today’s volunteer. Here we go
What if the very way that your mind was programmed to help you was actually creating the problems in your life? Now, so often I see that very thing where the deeper mind programming that a person has where they feel like they’re doing something that’s going to help them be successful is part of what is creating the biggest challenges and problems in their life.
And that was very true today with the beautiful volunteer that I worked with. Her name is Lori, and she’s this woman who’s just been successful and driven, had a flourishing business for 30 years, beautiful home in Florida, just a, a wonderful husband, just this amazing picture of success, and yet she’s at a place in her life where she can’t work, and she’s stuck in a place of anxiety and depression and can’t think clearly.
And she’s been stuck there and, and feeling in a really bad place in her relationship, and just this anxiety going on that she can’t seem to control. Now, part of the problem is this, is that there’s a part of her who feels that the very thing that’s going to help her… And so she keeps going into this pattern, if you will, this feeling of impatience, trying to fix it, trying to hurry up and fix the problem But if you stop and think about it for a moment, the feeling of anxiety can be caused by this panic feeling to fix something.
So the more anxiety and the more stress, the more everything, the more she’s panicked to fix it, fix it, fix it, fix it, this impatience, and it’s just continue to perpetuate the problem. The way to think about it, because so often people will think, well, they have to have this impatience because, because it’s going to lead to the solution.
And unfortunately, what happens when you stop and think about it, I mean, i- if you picture somebody who’s panicking in water, like they’re in a swimming pool or they feel like they’re drowning and they start panicking, that can lead to the very problem, that panic feeling, that anxiety. And so in her case, that was a huge part of the problem, is that as I was working with her to start making some changes in her mindset and start really shifting her mindset, she started to create some changes.
Her anxiety started to go down. She could feel the changes. Even as I was working with her, part of what was going on was even this feeling of feeling like that her husband, like that she had disappointed him, that he was upset. And so it was creating a lot of panic and anxiety. And, and so even when I mentioned to her and I said, “Well, what if, what if you knew he was going to stay?
What if you knew everything was going to be okay?” She mentioned she would feel a lot of relief. Okay, but this is the problem, and this is, this is where it gets a little tricky, is this, is that this feeling of impatience that she’s had, this feeling of impatience can create what? Well, when somebody’s impatient, it can create a feeling of pressure, which can create a feeling of anger.
And so what was happening is then there was this feeling where she could be, uh, out of control, upset, angry type of feeling because all of this pressure of pressure of trying to do and be and be good enough and all of these things, that she had this burnout, but also this pressure and impatience that would then take anger out on her husband or show up in ways that were, was not helping her relationship with her husband, was sabotaging it.
And that’s the problem is I know this may sound a little bit tricky, but if you think about it for a moment, if somebody’s impatient and they’re frustrated and they’re upset, how’s that going to go for a relationship, for love and connection? Well, it’s not gonna go so well. And so that’s what kept happening in her relationship and in her life, is she has this impatience which her mind is programmed is going to do what?
It’s going to help her. So she feels like she has to hurry up and hurry up and get the answer and do the thing, and yet it’s the very thing that’s sabotaging her. Now, this is where it gets a little bit tricky or very tricky, is this, is a lot of times if somebody has impatience- And they try to let it go, they feel like what?
They can feel like everything is going to be very, very slow. So a person feels like, “I ca- I can’t let go of this impatience. I have to keep going.” And so it feels impossible to let it go. And so if you’re somebody who has struggled with anxiety, you’ll want to notice if there’s been a part of you who’s had this strong feeling of impatience because the tricky part is, is it’s like this, is people think, “Well, if I let go of the impatience, that means slow.”
But it doesn’t have to mean slow because there’s a- also a state called the, a feeling of empowered presence where you can feel very empowered and very present in the moment and be very, very successful, very efficient, very productive. You know, even if you think about it, if you’ve listened to past episodes where I’ve showed people how to release pain in minutes or create changes in their physical health in mis- minutes or even under medical equipment, it’s not from a place of impatience.
There’s not impatience. Instead, there’s a presence. There’s a driven impr- a presence to create a change, not an impatience. Impatience is a feeling that doesn’t go so well. They can backfire. They can create the frustration, the anger, the upset. And part of the thing is, as you probably know this, is more, and more, and more of that’s happening in our culture where people will have an impatience for this.
We want everything in 10 seconds and, and, and literally, by the way, divine timing because the last podcast episode that I just did, it’s divine unfoldment because a person messaged in and said, “Can I get your, your healing, uh…” Like, “What is it? What is your method in two minutes?” And so, so I did a podcast episode on that very thing, on how, how, what is my method, how does it work, uh, for that very reason.
But the in two minutes thing is everybody wants the in two minutes, and I get it. So keeping in mind that I show results all of the time under medical equipment that are fast, that are faster, like, it’s hugely fast, you know, incredible on how fast we can get results But it’s not from a place of impatience, it’s from a place of empowered presence.
And so that’s one of the insights that I want to share with you is exactly that, that came from this episode with our beautiful volunteer, Lori, is the feeling of in- if you’ve been in a place of impatience, that can slow down, sabotage, and keep you from getting the results that you want. But instead, if you can be in empowered presence where you’re being present with change, pres- present with transformation, you can start changing and transforming and getting results today in your life, but you don’t need impatience to do it.
You need presence, empowerment to do it. And so just food for thought. So that’s one of the insights that I want to share. Now, another insight is this, is that she had this feeling that as she was feeling impatient or frustrated or putting pressure on herself, that she’d get angry and upset, and that anger would come out, and her husband would see it.
And then she felt bad and felt guilty and was mean to herself. So then she’s mean to herself and, and all of the time I’ll see that where people have this programming. They have a certain pattern, and it keeps showing up, and it keeps showing up, and it keeps showing up. And they keep beating themselves up for it and feeling guilty and feeling guilty, and that was part of the problem also, is just that she kept feeling upset and angry and then feeling guilty about it and beating up herself up and feeling guilty and feeling bad about it and criticizing herself.
So here she was on one hand, being this successful entrepreneur who’s got this, you know, thriving business, then so much guilt and so much impatience and frustration and whatnot that ultimately ended up sabotaging things so she’s can’t work, so she can’t show up sh- and, and creating that sabotage in her life.
Now, again, what I want to emphasize is what’s tricky is that her mind thinks and is wired that the impatience is the very thing that’s going to help her. And that’s what’s tricky, and that’s the insight that I want to share with you is that it’s not just her, is that so often in the mind, a person’s mind can be wired.
All of the time I see it miswired, that the very thing that they think is going to create the solution is actually creating the problem, and it perpetuates. And so just food for thought in your own life. If there’s some type of pattern that’s continuing to perpetuate to affect your health or your life, to really look at it and be willing to look at it in a different way.
And to, of course, really be willing to change it as well. So as I was working with her, there was also some feelings of resistance, of change, of feeling like it would be impossible, and I see that all the time as well ’cause people, they feel like they’ve tried everything and, and I get it. I felt like I tried everything, too, and it wasn’t working.
And yet the breakthrough, once I started to understand the mind in a different way, in this counterintuitive way that is not logical, but completely logical to the mind. It’s a different type of logic. Everything changed. And so if that is another insight… So if you are somebody who has been looking everywhere, trying everything, I get it.
I was there for many, many, many years. If you know my story, you know I was there for a long period of time, but once I started to understand the mind in a different way, in this tricky, counterintuitive way to, to really get it, everything changed. So that is, of course, is my hope for you, and those are the insights from today.
And if you are somebody who is working on healing yourself, then there is a free training link in the show notes if you want to understand even more about how it works. Or if you’d like to listen to this actual session where I worked with our beautiful volunteer, Lori, you can click the link in the show notes and you can listen to the session where I worked with her.
There are several more insights. These are just the quick, powerful insights from it, but there are so many more. And so that is there as well. And as always, I want to ask you, please do take just a quick moment to hit the share button on this episode. You share it with somebody you love, somebody you care about, or somebody you don’t even know because the more that every single person in our world feels happy and healthy and empowered and loved and loving, truly the better this world is for all of us.
And so please do take just a quick moment to hit the share button, and please do have an incredible rest of your day. I look forward to connecting with you on the next episode. We’ll see you there.
