Have you noticed how easy it can be to get pulled into fear?
Fear about AI.
Fear about what is happening in the world.
Fear about what might happen next.
Once you get pulled into a “fear story,” it can start to feel like fear is everywhere.
And if that happens again and again, it can begin affecting your clarity, happiness, relationships, and the way you experience your life.
In this episode, Brandy shares a simple shift she has used in her own mind to help keep fear from taking over.
And importantly, this is not about ignoring what is happening or pretending everything is fine.
Sometimes there is absolutely action to take.
But there is a big difference between paying attention and responding thoughtfully…
and allowing fear to consume your mind.
In this episode, you’ll discover:
• A simple way to stop getting sucked into fear
• Why getting curious can change your emotional response
• How to recognize when there really is useful action to take
• Why fear can interfere with clarity and resourcefulness
• How freeing yourself from fear can help more of the best of you show up
Because becoming consumed by fear can make it much harder to think clearly.
But when you can step out of the fear while still paying attention, you can access more of your awareness, creativity, answers, and ability to respond.
And that can feel incredibly freeing.
Sometimes the goal isn’t to ignore the world around you.
It’s to stay aware, take action when needed, and not let the fear story take over your mind or your life!

Welcome to Heal Yourself. Change Your Life. I’m Brandy Gillmore, and what I’m most known for is helping people to create radical transformations, and even demonstrating the power of the mind and self-healing under medical equipment so you can see the results. And my work has even been published in a medical journal because it’s truly incredible what we are all capable of when we understand our own minds at a deeper level.
So whether you’re new to this work or you’ve been studying the power of the mind for many years, I love that you’re here. I love that we’re on this incredible journey together, and I look forward to sharing breakthrough information with you. That said, on this podcast, I’ll share two types of episodes.
First, self-healing episodes where I share key insights from working with live volunteers. And the second type are where I answer questions from the audience. That said, if you’d like to volunteer or submit a question, come visit me at BrandyGillmore.com. On that note, let’s dive in
What if you didn’t have any fear suppressed or feeling triggers of fear throughout your day? What would that feel like? You know, so often I see people create a radical shift where they go from feeling these deep feelings of fear to really freeing themselves from it, and it’s an incredible liberating experience, more than most people would even think.
Because ultimately what happens is when you really release that fear from your subconscious mind, there is a lightness and an inner freedom that occurs. Now, part of the reason that I’m bringing this up is because I’ve had a lot of people reaching out saying that they’re experiencing fear from AI or, you know, feeling like the world turmoil and this and that.
And so they’re feeling all of these feelings of fear and trigger, and they’re feeling heavy. And of course, fear can affect your health, your life, your relationships, your happiness. It just can have such a big impact. And so for that reason, I want to share a few things that you could do to really start shifting out of fear.
Now, some of the emails that I’ve been getting have to do with kind of current events that are going on, you know, um, with AI, and they’re feeling terrified of what’s going on there or the world. And so I want to kinda give you the way that what I do with my mind and ultimately what I’ve seen really help shift people that can be really liberating and also just an easy, simple insight.
And it’s this: You know, if we stop and look at the world for a moment in the big picture, ever since I’ve been alive, there has always been some type of fear story, if you will. You know, there’s been, uh, the hole in the ozone, and we were all gonna turn into french fries. You know, and, and there’s been the Y2K and the Mayan calendar and, you know, everything was gonna end with COVID or, um, just so many different life events that there’s always some type of story that it’s the end or the end is coming, etcetera.
In fact, I’ve worked with people who are in their 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s who said that they ultimately had spent a lot of their entire life in some type of fear, and they never expected to even make it to that age because there was always some type of fear story that they were stuck in. And that’s part of what I’ve done with my mind.
Now, there are a couple things, but part of what I’ve done with my mind has been exactly that, just been like, “Okay, this is another fear story.” Now, it’s not that I take no action, but there can be an action to take, absolutely, but it’s also kind of, uh, putting it in your mind and going, “Okay, how is this one going to go?”
Meaning this, meaning that if you think about COVID, you know, in the very beginning when everybody was really panicking about it, in my mind I said, “Okay, here’s another fear story. I wonder how this one’s going to go.” And of course, I showed up and was, you know, wanting to make sure that everybody felt supported and, and whatnot.
So it wasn’t that I didn’t take it seriously. There were, of course, lives that were lost during that time, and which I don’t wanna go into that whole story, but point being is that instead of getting stuck into the panic or the fear of it all, I said, “Okay, well, how is this going to go?” And every time there’s some type of thing that comes up, it’s like, well, how is this fear story gon- going to go?
Even if we look at the hole in the ozone, if you will. You know, if… That was a, a big thing when I was growing up. But what happened? There was action that was taken also. You know, if you think about it, what happened? People identified, you know, ODSs, so odo- ozone depleting substances, they were identified and removed from being in commercial products and, and they were removed, and now the ozone is healing itself.
My point is this, is that if you look in your life, how many fear stories can you see of the world is going to end? Like the Y2K, the this, the that. Like, how, how many can you see? Because what happened is I kind of s- said this with my own, is I said, “Okay, wait a second. I, I’ve been… I, I see this fear story. I see this, I see this.”
Like, instead of getting sucked in every time to the fear story, let me just actually pay attention and see what I need to do and how to show up, and let me just do that. So like, going back to the ozone, the reason I use that example is because there was things that were actionable that was needed, you know?
Or i- different times, there can be different actions. So if somebody has fear in their life, even right now if you think about it, sometimes some people have fear of AI where they feel like maybe AI is going to take their job or something like that. And so instead of just being in fear and being stressed, maybe not being in fear, and instead maybe there’s some type of action or education to take in mastering AI.
And, you know, if you think about it, um, if we look at the Industrial Revolution, you know, a lot of people were in fear about the jobs and all of the jobs were going to be gone, and they didn’t go anywhere. They changed. Yeah, absolutely, they changed in a big way But, and, and so maybe it’s not being in fear, and maybe it’s not just saying, “Okay, well, don’t be in fear.”
Maybe it’s getting out of fear and, and taking action, an action to be trained and learn and expand and grow. So, so maybe that’s it. But my point is, is that just, uh, so many people have been messaging and saying, “But what, what do I do with the fear?” Like, the… And, and the thing of it is, is that if you really, really look at your life honestly, there’s always a fear story.
There’s always one that we can get caught up into from Y2K to 9/11 to Mayan calendar to World War III to da, da, da. There, there’s always. And if we always get sucked into every one, every one of these stories, we don’t live our lives, right? And so if there is a fear, I’m not saying just completely ignore it.
I’m saying, uh, sometimes there might be a fear that says, “Okay, well, let me just do something different. Let me really change.” So that could be true as well. And, and what happens is, you know, as, like during my injury, I was in a lot of fear, and I was stuck there. What did I do? Started doing something different.
Started understanding how to heal with my mind. You know, I was in a lot of fear for so many different reasons, from my life was a mess. I was injured. I was in extreme pain. I didn’t just say, “Well, let me think positively.” Now, of course, I did that, and then I also went far beyond that, far beyond the meditation, the positive thinking, the affirmations, all of the things.
I really, really reprogrammed my mindset, and I also took positive action in my life. And, and so I, I really, really changed in a big way. And so if we simplify this- And we really think about life for a moment. Yes, there, there are things on the news that come up or, or, you know, AI or whatever it is. But if you just, instead of getting caught in the fear story, you could ask yourself, “Okay, I wonder how this fear story goes?”
You know? And then, and then you don’t get attached. Now, another name that I call it is the Chicken Little story. And if you’re not familiar with the Chicken Little story, it’s like this European, uh, folktale from like the 1800s where there’s a, a chicken that got hit on the head by an acorn or whatever it was, but got hit on the head and thought the sky was falling.
And then so it started telling everybody, “The sky is falling. The sky is falling.” You know, all the, all the farm animals, if you will. Um, but was in this big panic. And so that’s what I put into my mind was when there’s a lot of news this or that or whatnot, I just say, “Okay, well, how does this Chicken Little story go- going to go?”
Because ever since I’ve been alive, there has always been some type of fear story that we could get sucked into. And so I’d invite you from that to look at your life and ask yourself the same thing. Go, “Wait a second. What about the last fear story? What about the one before that and the one before that?”
You know what? We made it. You’re here. We made it. And so it just kind of… You, you just kind of l- kind of get curious and say, “Okay, well, how does this go? I wonder what it looks like on the other side of this,” and what does it really look like? I’m not gonna get sucked in because th- this is the thing. Does it help to get sucked in?
It doesn’t. Like, if I was stuck in fear, what is that gonna do for me? Nothing. What is it going to do for you? Nothing. It’s like if we get sucked into the fear, it does nothing for our lives. It’s not good for our health, happiness, life, relationships, none of it. But if we make sure not to get sucked in, that’s when we feel better, but not only do we feel better, but more of the best of you can show up.
You know, if you think about it, if somebody’s in all this fear, how much mental clarity do they have? Not that much. You know, somebody’s fearful and stressed. But if you’re paying attention and you’re not fearful, and you’re, you’re paying attention, and what happens is then you go, “Okay, how does, how does this go?”
What happens is your brain is more aware. You’re more aware. You have more of the answers. It’s like the more that we don’t get sucked into fear, the more we can access our genius, our resourceful mind, our answers mind, the more we can show up. And so to me, the ultimate safety is not getting sucked into the fear, but instead saying, “Okay, well, how does this one go, and what do we need to do and be and, and how can I show up?”
And show up. You know, if there’s action to take, sometimes there is. Take the action, follow through, a- and do that. But either way, getting sucked into the fear isn’t the answer, and so often I’ve seen people where they really reprogram their mind at a deeper, deeper level and get out of the fear that it, like it’s pivotal.
It’s life-changing. It’s like the mental clarity that comes from that and the actions and the awareness, and it’s just, it’s, it’s liberating. And so just food for thought because I’ve seen, again, getting a, a lot of emails regarding this topic, but also I’ve seen so many people who have been stuck in fear for years and years, and when they finally reprogram their mind to really liberate themselves- Is pivotal and freeing and incredible and healing and happiness and love and laughter and, and just more enjoyment in life.
And so food for thought, and of course, just simplifying it, if you just at least on a simple note, just said to your mind, “Okay, let’s get curious. I wonder how this one ends. I wonder what this Chicken Little story reveals, and is there something I need to show up and do?” So just two simple things you can do, and of course, the more you rewire your mind at a deeper, deeper level, the more it becomes pivotal.
And, and so if you are somebody who is working on healing yourself, there’s also a link, uh, in the… of a training, a free training in the show notes. So if you wanna know how I’ve been able to get results even under medical equipment where you can see the power of the mind and mind body healing, it’s truly incredible what we’re all capable of.
So, um, so that link is in the show notes. And as always, I want to invite you, please do take just a quick moment to share, to, to hit the share button on this episode. You know, share it with a friend, somebody you love, somebody you don’t even know, because the more that every single person in our world feels healthy and happy and loved and loving, truly the better this world is for all of us.
And so please do take just a quick moment to hit the share button, and please do make a point to have an incredible rest of your day. I look forward to connecting with you on the next episode. We’ll see you there.
