Welcome to Heal Yourself, Change Your Life. My name is Brandy Gillmore, and after recovering from my own life-changing injury, it’s become my mission to share with others the same discoveries I made that changed my health and my entire life. Our minds are truly incredible. The placebo is proof of this.
Each week, I will take this simple awareness to a whole new level. I will even coach live callers to free themselves of physical pain using only their mind. And then I’ll provide you with a combination of practical and spiritual insights that you can use to master your mind, your emotions, and your energy—to help you heal your health, yourself, and your life.
Let’s begin.
Hello, and welcome to this week’s quick IQ episode, where we talk about insights and questions. And today I want to talk about personal strength and feeling in your power, because let’s be honest—if you’ve been going through an injury or any type of illness, the first thing to go, a lot of times, can be your feeling of strength, your feeling of confidence.
I know for me personally, to go from living a full life and then suddenly feeling like I had a hard time even taking a shower or doing the things I needed to do—it really took my confidence and my strength. And not only that, but of course, I also felt beyond exhausted, drained, and in pain.
So, it was really hard to try to keep my feelings of strength while having the physical situation that I did.
Even if you think about the last episode—by the way, everybody is raving about that one—I love that our volunteer, a beautiful, beautiful being, had such great self-awareness and self-honesty. So many people loved seeing that session on video, where you could really see the interaction with the podcast volunteer.
It was so sweet reading the comments coming in—really touching and fun. I love that it allows you to see the process of working with people at a deeper level.
Expanding on this idea of strength—whether you’re working on a minor health issue or even an emotional one, such as stress or anxiety—or even if you’re dealing with an extreme health condition—the feeling of losing your strength in life can compound the problem. The more you lose your strength, the more you feel what?
More fear.
And the more you feel fear, the more it keeps you stuck. Fear can even create new health issues, because as we know, fear stresses out the body and can be linked to all kinds of physical problems.
It becomes an unfortunate cycle—when you lose your personal strength, you feel more fear, and that fear then affects every area of your life.
I know personally, I went through that very spiral. That’s why today’s insight is so important: if you are in that place, I invite you to see what you could do to start accessing small feelings of strength throughout your day.
By the way, this is exactly what I did. Even though I was in bad shape physically, if there was anything I was capable of doing, I did it. I would lift myself with my arms, or if I was in my wheelchair, I would push myself around to keep my upper body strong. My lower body—my legs—were very weak. You could see the bones. But I did what I could.
Each time I accessed my strength, even in little ways, it was helpful. Because the more I accessed my strength, the more I could. And the more I did, the more powerful I felt.
Even if those actions seemed small, the feeling of being more capable—even just in little ways—was transformative. As I felt stronger, it reduced my feelings of fear. So while this may seem simple, it’s actually profound.
Over the years, I’ve worked with people in every walk of life—even those with very large businesses, making millions of dollars, or those who were in a bad place and losing millions. Many had been so paralyzed by fear that they were stuck—some even having panic attacks. We’ve all heard the phrase “paralyzed by fear,” and it’s so true.
In those situations, just starting to take action—any action—can be pivotal. Accessing even the smallest feelings of strength begins to break that paralysis.
So, the insight I want to bring you today is this: when you’re feeling tired, discouraged, or like there’s no point—and I’ve been there—the key is to keep accessing your strength, even when it feels pointless.
I’m not saying to overdo it or hurt yourself, but rather, to ask yourself, “Where can I access more strength today?” It’s not about being lazy; it’s about moving beyond that “what’s the point” feeling and stepping into empowerment again.
Maybe that’s through exercise if your body allows it, or through any small act that helps you feel capable. When you repeatedly access those feelings of strength, you start to amplify them—they become part of you.
Part of the reason I’m emphasizing this now is because if you think about our volunteer Noelle from two episodes ago—she had dystonia and was experiencing severe cringing at a level 10. Through our work together, she brought it down to a level 3. That’s incredible progress.
But there was still some fear present, and that’s where the next step lies—releasing that fear to fully heal. The same will be true for our volunteer coming up next week. You’ll see that fear is a big factor in keeping her stuck.
That’s why I wanted to highlight this insight today—because getting back your strength is a key part of healing. It’s not just physical; it’s energetic and emotional, too.
So, I want to invite you to look at your own life and notice—what small ways can you start bringing in more feelings of strength? As you do, that energy becomes part of you. It integrates, it grows, and soon, more and more of the best of you shows up every day.
This may seem like a small insight, but it’s actually deeply powerful. It was something I personally lived—and it became a cornerstone of my own healing.
So that’s today’s insight for our quick IQ episode: the importance of accessing your strength — even in small, everyday ways. Whether that means lifting your body when you can, keeping your posture strong, standing tall, or even focusing on moments of emotional strength, each time you access that energy, it builds on itself.
When you get used to that feeling of strength—when it becomes familiar—it starts to transform how you experience life. Fear decreases, and confidence begins to rise. You begin to embody your inner power again.
So, my invitation for you today is this: look at your life and find those moments where you can intentionally access feelings of strength. Maybe it’s through movement, standing in your power in a conversation, or doing something that makes you feel capable. Each moment you choose strength, you’re rewiring your mind and energy for empowerment and healing.
Because what happens is this: the more you bring in those feelings of strength—no matter how small—the more it becomes part of who you are. You begin to embody that energy, and it radiates into every area of your life. It’s a beautiful upward spiral where more and more of your best self begins to show up each day.
So even though it may seem simple, this awareness is truly profound. It’s something that helped me personally in my journey—and it’s something I’ve seen help countless others. Remember: it’s about consistently accessing that feeling of strength until it becomes your new norm.
As we close out today’s episode, I want to remind you—please take a quick moment to hit the share button on this episode. Share it with someone you love, someone you care about, or even someone you don’t know personally. Because the more that every single person feels safe, strong, happy, healthy, and loved, the better our world becomes for all of us.
Every act of sharing, every small ripple of inspiration, helps to uplift the collective energy we’re all part of. So please do hit the share button—and I truly look forward to connecting with you on the next episode. I’ll see you there.

If today’s episode touched your heart or expanded your mind in any way, please do me a favor and share it with those you care about—or those who truly need it. As more and more people become empowered, it really will change our world for the better. That’s the point and the power behind these demonstrations—to create a radical shift in our collective consciousness by showing everyone what we are all capable of.
Of course, each volunteer will still need to follow through to reinforce their new mind programming and maintain their results. But the point is for you to see that you, too, can create rapid results in your health and in your life—if you truly understand how to use your mind. You are incredible.
And I do want to be clear: most people won’t get results this fast on their own. I make it look easy because of the discoveries I’ve made, but you’ll want to remember—there’s so much more going on in our minds at a deeper level than most people realize.
