Have you ever felt stuck in an emotional spiral?
Maybe you feel hurt…
then angry or reactive…
then even more hurt…
and somehow the same emotions just keep cycling.
You may be trying to release the hurt, think positively, meditate, or work through old wounds—but still feel like you can’t fully get out of the pattern.
In this episode, Brandy shares a subtle but powerful reason this can happen.
Sometimes one part of the mind is trying to release the hurt while another part is still recreating the emotional pattern through anger, reactivity, or wanting to get someone back. And when that happens, the cycle can continue without you even realizing it.
The shift is not simply about “thinking positive.”
It is about giving the mind a genuinely different emotional direction to move toward.
In this episode, you’ll discover:
• Why hurt and reactivity can unknowingly keep fueling one another
• Why trying to release the past can sometimes still leave you feeling stuck
• A simple way to begin redirecting your mind toward a new emotional outcome
• Why creating a new direction can make it easier to let go of the old one
• The difference between positive thinking and deeper emotional reprogramming
Brandy also shares insights from working with a beautiful volunteer who had spent years working on herself, yet was still carrying deep hurt, anger, and frustration. As she began working with her mind in a different way, she experienced a significant shift in how she felt.
Sometimes it isn’t about trying harder to get rid of the old feelings.
Sometimes the mind simply needs a new direction—and once it has one, it can become easier to free yourself from the spiral and genuinely step into healing, love, and transformation.
And that seemingly simple shift can be pivotal.

Welcome to Heal Yourself. Change Your Life. I’m Brandy Gillmore, and what I’m most known for is helping people to create radical transformations and even demonstrating the power of the mind and self-healing under medical equipment so you can see the results. And my work has even been published in a medical journal because it’s truly incredible what we are all capable of when we understand our own minds at a deeper level.
So whether you’re new to this work or you’ve been studying the power of the mind for many years, I love that you are here. I love that we’re on this incredible journey together, and I look forward to sharing breakthrough information with you. That said, on this podcast, I’ll share two types of episodes.
First, self-healing episodes where I share key insights from working with live volunteers. And the second type are where I answer questions from the audience. That said, if you’d like to volunteer or submit a question, come visit me at BrandyGillmore.com. On that note, let’s dive in
Hello, and happy beautiful day to you. I want to add in a quick but important note to make this podcast very easy to navigate, because today’s episode has a special format. Today, I worked with a live volunteer, and as you probably know, there are a lot of people who are now using AI to modify information online.
For that reason, we have taken an extra step to help protect our beautiful volunteer and the integrity of this work to help keep the information from being modified. And we actually love how this turned out, because it provides you with even more information. This is how it works. On today’s episode, you’ll hear an overview of the person that I worked with, and I will provide you with simple but powerful breakthrough insights that helped our volunteer begin making a radical shift.
Then, at the end of this short breakthrough episode, if you are ready for a deep dive, you can click in the show notes to gain access to the actual self-healing session where I worked directly with the live volunteer. This enables us to help protect the information online from being modified, while still continuing to provide you with powerful information to help bridge the gap between science and spirituality and personal empowerment.
Because it’s truly incredible what you are capable of when you learn to understand your mind at a deeper level. That said, let’s dive into the simple but powerful insights that came from working with today’s volunteer. Here we go
All of the time people are amazed by the results that I have been able to demonstrate using the power of the mind, and they wonder how I’ve been able to get these incredible results. And that’s what I want to share with you today is a key insight because one thing I did is I made key discoveries about how mind body healing works and how the mind works, and other things are subtle.
Like subtle ways that you can work with the mind in a different way to be able to get the results that you want. Now take for example, have you heard of people who have been stuck maybe in a spiral? You know, or imagine somebody who’s feeling hurt, and they’re feeling hurt. How often would you say that if somebody’s feeling hurt there might be a part of them that feels reactive, that wants to get somebody back, or wants to hurt somebody back?
Even if they’re not going to actually do it, they can feel that feeling of wanting to hurt somebody back or be angry or take anger out on them Now, the tricky part is, is what can happen is this can just fuel the problem because they can feel hurt, then they want to be angry or reactive, and then it creates more hurt and then angry or reactive.
Now, let’s be honest, what do most people want to do in this case? Release the hurt. The problem is, is the reactive part or the part of wanting to get people back can usually stay in the subconscious mind, which then perpetuates the problem. So in other words, both can continue at an unconscious level to perpetuate the problem over and over and over again.
But if we think about a subtle way to work with the mind, ultimately what can happen is that if we start moving forward first, like how do we want to feel, and start getting clear on the new way of feeling first, it can actually make it easy to change. Now, I’ll break this down even, even more because let’s be honest, so often what people do is they want to work with past wounding first.
You know, past wounding, the childhood wounding, etcetera. But when there’s a hurt or a reactiveness or an upset, any type of reaction feeling, it can actually make it hard or impossible to release. And so, so often I’ll see people who have been stuck trying to release childhood wounding for years and years and years or hurt from the past, even if it’s last week, the month before, because of this reactive hurt at a deeper level.
And so what happens is it can feel stuck. It can feel like it’s in cycles. If I make a simple analogy, think about a car that’s been spinning over something, hurt and reactive and hurt and reactive, but a car that’s been spinning, if it’s going in circles, and you give it a new way to exit, a different direction to go, now it can start, of course, going or driving in a different direction.
And so often if the mind is spinning off of something, is feeling hurt or reactive or hurt or reactive, it can stay stuck there without getting a new neural pathway to really move it in a different direction. Now, part of the reason this comes up, and I’ll give you some more depth here in it ’cause I know this is subtle and it takes a deeper level of awareness, but…
And, and, a- and subtle level of awareness, but today I worked with a beautiful, beautiful volunteer. Her name is Francesca. And basically, as I was working with her, she was just feeling all of this hurt and upset and anger, feeling like she missed out on the things that she wanted to do in life, feeling like people were upset with her, feeling reactive and anger towards them.
And she had been doing all of the things, the affirmations, the mindset stuff for years and years and years and years, and still stuck And I see that literally all of the time where people are stuck struggling with childhood patterns or, or past patterns or hurt or wounding. And as I worked with our beautiful volunteer, she could find this feeling of feeling a lot of anger and hurt and reactiveness.
And of course, she didn’t wanna get anybody back, and yet she felt those feelings at a deeper level of feeling angry, of wanting to get them back. Now, if you think about it, if she’s in an angry state, how easy is it for people to love her, to embrace her? It’s not. So the problem is, is then it can still feel hurt, it can still feel unloved, it can still feel stuck, which then creates more reactive.
So the, the whole problem continues to perpetuate. But if you start to change this and you really start to go, “Okay, well, let me step into more feelings of love. What do I really want? What do I really… Where do I want to go?” Part of the gift in this is, of course, creating even more positivity, which creates– which feels more magnetic.
So that’s part of it, but the other thing is, is that even when we create a positive shift moving forward, we are starting to release some of the negative in a way that says, “Instead of wanting to get people back, I’d love to create love and connection.” So it starts releasing desires, if you will, or redirecting them in a different way.
And so the reason I emphasize this is it’s subtle, but what can happen is sometimes people get stuck in just trying to release, release, release, but they haven’t given their mind something new to do and a new way to be moving forward. Or they think that a new way to be moving forward is just simply thinking positive, but it’s deeper than that.
It’s deeper than that. It’s redirecting the mind to want to be in a different way. And what’s beautiful is this, is, you know, initially when I started working with our beautiful volunteer, she was just beating herself up, feeling horrible about herself, feeling like, literally, like, “I’m just a mess, and I’ve tried everything, and I’ve done it for a year,” and just that feeling.
She was just really, really hard on herself because she was also feeling really, really hurt, very hurt by people around her. Now, when she started working with her mind in a different way, the lightness, the feeling was a, a huge shift just in working with her mind in a different way. Now, of course, it takes follow-through, but to start letting go of the anger, but to start directing the mind in a new way towards love, towards where it wants to go, is simple.
And of course, it takes effort But it’s a simple awareness because we need the mind to be able to work in a different way. And so often people are stuck on release, release, release, and yet it’s like, it’s like trying to release something when the mind is still creating it. Or said another way, it’s like trying to clean your house as you’re still making a mess at the same time, and you’re making a mess, making a mess, making a mess, and then trying to clean, clean the house at the same time.
It doesn’t, it doesn’t get you where you wanna go. But if you start rewiring or you stop making the mess, so to speak, and then you start cleaning it up, now it feels productive. Now it feels pivotal. And so ultimately, that subtle shift of moving things forward in a different way W- can be pivotal, and this is the reason why, is instead of wanting to feel anger or to get people back, which can perpetuate the problem, she instead said, “You know, I d- I don’t wanna get people back.
I just actually wanna create love. I actually wanna create connection.” And from starting to reprogram the mind that way, that can create a pivotal shift that, uh, then allows you to really create that change at a deeper level. And so I know this means, may sound very, very, very simple, and so often people might think, oh, just moving it forward in a new way, getting a new power vision, getting a new vision moving forward seems very, very simple and yes, w- w- yet we wanna be specific about it because when we’re specific about how we’re reprogramming the mind in a new way, that is the key.
Uh, going back to the analogy of, you know, somebody who’s trying to clean up the house and making a mess at the same time, so often what people don’t realize is if they’re not really rewiring the mind, i- the reason it can feel impossible to do, uh, to clean up the house, so to speak, is because the mind is continuing to perpetuate the problem.
We’re still holding onto the problem, and so then it’s like trying to clean up the house while also holding onto the mess, and it becomes stuck. But if we just use subtle ways to work with the mind in a different way, it’s like everything is pivotal. So again, sounds simple and yet if you think about it, if you’ve seen me work with people under medical equipment where I show people how to release pain in minutes using their own mind, it’s incredible, and e- everybody always says, “Wow, that seems so simple.
How did you do that?” It’s working with the mind in a different way. So th- another analogy of simplicity is this, is, is, and you hear me use this all of the time, but if somebody went to go get dressed for work and they put their shoes on first and then they try to put their pants on, how does it feel to get dressed?
It feels impossible, a struggle, frustrating. You, you… It’s hard to get dressed if you’ve already put your shoes on to try to put your pants on. But if you put your pants on first and then your shoes, it feels a lot easier. And so subtle little things are actually really, really important and pivotal, and make things a lot easier to get radical results.
And so just food for thought that, you know, when you really understand the subtle little discoveries that I made in working with the mind, there’s a reason that I make it look very easy to get results. And of course, don’t get me wrong, it does take follow-through. So once we identify how to work with the mind, we then need to follow through to, to really establish new neural pathways so the mind programming sticks, so it stays going in that specific way.
So just food for thought. So that is today’s simple insight. And of course, if you’d like to listen to this actual session where I worked with our beautiful volunteer, Francesca, you can do so. The link is in the show notes, so you can check it out there. And if you are somebody who is really wanting to understand mind body healing and how I’ve been able to get these results, there is also a link in the show notes for a free training to understand mind body healing and how it works, and how you can heal yourself and change your life.
It’s truly incredible what we’re all capable of. And so food for thought. And as always, I want to ask you, please do take just a quick moment to hit the share button on this episode. You know, share it with somebody you love, somebody you care about, or somebody you don’t even know, because the more that every single person in our world feels healthy and happy and loved and loving, truly the better this world is for all of us.
And so please do take just a quick moment to hit the share button, and please do make a point to have an incredible rest of your day. I look forward to connecting with you on the next episode. We’ll see you there.
