Have you ever felt like you truly worked on an emotional pattern… and yet somehow it still kept showing up in your life?
In this powerful episode, Brandy works with a live volunteer named John and uncovers a deeper reason healing and transformation can sometimes feel harder than expected, even when we are genuinely trying to change.
Because often, emotions do not exist alone.
They exist in layers.
And sometimes the very emotion we are trying to release is quietly connected to something deeper underneath it that is still holding the pattern in place.
This episode explores:
✨ Why positive thinking alone is often not enough
✨ The subconscious reason some emotional patterns continue repeating
✨ Why many people unknowingly confuse suppression with real healing
✨ How deeper emotional connections in the mind can silently shape our reality
✨ A simple but powerful way to recognize whether a pattern has truly shifted
One of the most eye opening insights from this episode is realizing that we can try to let go of one emotion while another hidden layer beneath it is still reinforcing the entire pattern.
And when we begin to see those subconscious connections clearly, transformation can start happening in a completely different way.
This episode is profound, empowering, and filled with insights that can help you understand your mind and emotions at a deeper level.
If you have ever felt like real change still seems just out of reach despite all the inner work you have done, this episode may bring a powerful new level of clarity.

Welcome to Heal Yourself. Change Your Life. I’m Brandy Gillmore, and what I’m most known for is helping people to create radical transformations, and even demonstrating the power of the mind and self-healing under medical equipment so you can see the results. And my work has even been published in a medical journal because it’s truly incredible what we are all capable of when we understand our own minds at a deeper level.
So whether you’re new to this work or you’ve been studying the power of the mind for many years, I love that you are here. I love that we’re on this incredible journey together, and I look forward to sharing breakthrough information with you. That said, on this podcast, I’ll share two types of episodes.
First, self-healing episodes where I share key insights from working with live volunteers. And the second type are where I answer questions from the audience. That said, if you’d like to volunteer or submit a question, come visit me at BrandyGillmore.com. On that note, let’s dive in.
Hello and happy beautiful day to you. I want to add in a quick but important note to make this podcast very easy to navigate because today’s episode has a special format. Today I worked with a live volunteer, and as you probably know, there are a lot of people who are now using AI to modify information online.
For that reason, we have taken an extra step to help protect our beautiful volunteer and the integrity of this work to help keep the information from being modified. And we actually love how this turned out because it provides you with even more information. This is how it works. On today’s episode, you’ll hear an overview of the person that I worked with, and I will provide you with simple but powerful breakthrough insights that helped our volunteer begin making a radical shift.
Then at the end of this short breakthrough episode, if you are ready for a deep dive, you can click in the show notes to gain access to the actual self-healing session where I worked directly with the live volunteer. This enables us to help protect the information online from being modified while still continuing to provide you with powerful information to help bridge the gap between science and spirituality and personal empowerment, because it’s truly incredible what you are capable of when you learn to understand your mind.
At a deeper level. That said, let’s dive into the simple but powerful insights that came from working with today’s volunteer. Here we go.
What’s exciting is that I see more and more people waking up to the awareness of the power of the mind for healing and transformation. But what I also see is so often people get stuck with misconceptions or misunderstandings on how the mind works, and they’ve been on the journey for 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 years, and yet still are not getting the real healing results that they want.
And so today I want to share with you two really powerful insights that can help you with both a common misconception and then also a really deeper misunderstanding about how mind, the mind works to really get results in your life. Because of course, if you know my story, you know that I was stuck for many, many, many years of trying to figure it out.
Now, of course, I’ve been healed and happy for over 16 years now, so that’s fantastic. And yet it took me many, many, many years to understand why and what it was that I needed to do differently. And so today I worked with a beautiful volunteer. His name is John. And I want to share some of the insights that came from working with him that came up for…
I, I see come up for so many people. Now, one is this, is that as I started working with him, part of what was happening in his life is he had this feeling, “Well, if I just believe that I’m not going to end up like my mom, then it won’t happen.” And in his case, by the way, ultimately he is losing his eyesight, and his mother was blind for a portion of her life, and so was his father.
He had eye issues. But his mother was completely blind. And John’s in a place where his eyesight is really diminished, uh, and he’s having a hard time seeing. And so ultimately he has AMD and glaucoma, and so he’s got multiple issues going on. And basically he’s in this place going, “Well, what do I need to do to be able to really see?”
And so often people think, “Well, if I just believe, then it will be enough.” But a way you wanna think about it like this. If we just make it very, very simple… We could get into all of the technical things, if you will, but if we just simplify it to logic. If you think about it for a moment, if a person feels panic and anxiety, they could have a panic attack whether they believe they’re going to have one or not.
Right? And because emotions, uh, emotions can impact the physical body, or if somebody’s feeling really stressed, they could have tension or all kinds of health issues going on, whether they believe they’re going to have them or not. And so that was something that John mentioned, and he’s brilliant, by the way, just a beautiful, beautiful being.
But he mentioned that ultimately he thought, well, if he just had that belief that it wouldn’t get linked up in his mind, he would be fine. And yet, unfortunately, he’s been in this place where he’s been losing his eyesight. And so we started to dive into the specifics. What is really going on in his subconscious mind that is ultimately connected to this?
You know, what is the quote-unquote stress, if you will? And again, we could go deeper into energy or biophotons or, um, understanding the biochemistry or, or whatnot. We could, we could geek out on more of the technical, but even if we just look at the awareness that we know stress affects the physical body, and we kinda simplify things, ultimately, what we started looking at in his life is there’s multiple layers of emotions going on.
Like, he’s got this feeling of really being so angry at himself and also feeling, unfortunately, taken advantage of. And to give you a bit of backstory, basically John is this gentleman who just, you can feel his heart. He’s just a caring, wonderful man. And he got into this relationship, this marriage, back in the 1960s, so many years ago now.
And ultimately, he felt like he was tricked. But he had two daughters, and they were four and age 10 when his marriage fell apart. And at that point, basically his ex-wife at the time made him into, he felt like the bad person, if you will, and turned his daughters against him, and ultimately he ended up giving them up.
And he hasn’t heard from them or seen them since, and it’s been something that has just been eating at him at a deeper level. And so what’s happened is he’s had these feelings of shame and feelings of guilt, but part of what’s bringing it and amplifying these feelings is he also has judgment about other men who may not have their children for one reason or another.
So he’s got this judgment towards self, and it’s just amplifying. And of course, he’s been suppressing it for many, many years. But what else is happening is this, is that there’s layers. There’s layers of emotion going on. And so the other piece is that he’s got all of this anger towards her, towards his ex.
And he’s got all of this anger because what happens is this, is he’s tried to let the anger go, and he’s tried to let it go and r- and release it. But if you think about it, what happens if he releases the anger? Well, the only thing that’s left is this amount of hatred towards self, of upset towards self.
So that’s the insight that I want to share with you, is if, if, if we kind of dial this in for a moment, is that so often what can happen is people will try to let go of their emotions. They try to let go of hurt or anger or blame, but if they do, they feel more guilt or they feel more shame or they’re blaming self.
And so what can happen is that deeper layers in the subconscious mind ultimately are making other layers of emotions maintain, so where they’re stuck. And so then what happens is people feel stuck with their emotions. They feel stuck with their mindset. It’s like they can’t release what’s really going on, and so the problem just perpetuates.
And so often people will feel some type of hurt, but at the same time, at a deeper level, they might feel like it’s their fault. And so my point is, is so often emotions have multiple layers to them, and so what’ll happen is people are trying to let go of one piece of the information or try to let go of hurt or blame or whatever it is, and trying to let it go, and yet it’s connected to other pieces.
So if we were to simplify it, imagine if somebody’s trying to get rid of a rug that they’re still standing on. And so what happens is people will struggle with their emotions, where they’re feeling, uh, depression or hurt or guilt or self-punishment or blame or whatever it is, because there are multiple pieces.
And then so what happens is that even when somebody understands that they really want to change their emotions, maybe because of hurt or because of stress or depression or, you know, just because more and more people are waking up to the importance of emotions or just really feeling good or, you know, just so many reasons of wanting to change, and yet change feels hard or it feels impossible.
And that’s my point, is that I just have seen so many people who have struggled throughout the years where they’re struggling to get results, and they’re not really changing or they’re suppressing the emotion and they don’t realize it, and that was the case for John. He felt like he’s, you know, getting rid of these emotions, and yet ultimately there’s a part of him who’s just suppressing them because he’s got all of these feelings of hurt on the inside and just so much self-blame and shame towards self.
And so it just becomes this spiral. And so the insight that I want to share with you is this, is just that so often People make it… It, it can feel hard. It can feel hard, it can feel like a struggle to get results, and yet the more you understand your own emotions and the more you understand the underlying mechanisms, the underlying connections where your emotions are really connected at a deeper level, the more it becomes easy to get results because you can see them.
It’s like trying to untangle something that you can’t see. And, you know, imagine if you’re trying to untangle something in the dark, and you can’t see all of the pieces that are connected to it, but you’re really trying to untangle it, and you’re trying to get rid of it, and you don’t realize it’s attached to other pieces.
And so that’s what’s happening is so often people are feeling that very feeling where they’re trying to get rid of something, or they feel like they’ve gotten rid of an emotion, or they feel like they’ve gotten rid of a way of thinking, and yet it’s still there. It’s just, it’s connected at a deeper level.
And so the results of change, of transformation, of changing patterns of healing aren’t there, and they feel elusive or hard to get because there are other pieces. And so I, I get that this can feel a bit complex, but the thing of it is, and this is what’s true, is that so often people want to put a Band-Aid on it.
But the more every single person in our world just understands what they’re feeling and how emotions work and just understands that, the easier it is to just get results. You know, if you have seen my work and you’ve seen me show people how to release pain and demonstrated that under medical equipment, but shown people how to do that back to back to back, the reason that I’ve been able to do that is because I understand the mind in a different way, and I’ve been able to work with it in a different way to get results.
And so ultimately, the insight that I want to share, if we bring this all together, it’s this, is that we do need to really check in and be honest with self. And even if you ask yourself, you know, “What else is connected to this?” And then you really make that change, it becomes pivotal because that’s the piece, is that so often it, it’s like, you know, trying to get rid of something that’s connected to multiple other pieces.
So that’s the insight that I want to share, is ultimately that, is making sure not to bury your emotions, but to be real with what’s real. And a, a simple insight is also this, is, you know, I use this, this silly technique, if you will, to help understand what’s going on or to help notice what’s going on in the mind, and it’s, it’s like this.
If I just give you a, a simple, silly technique, it’s this, is if I ask you, if I ask you, “Zero to 10, how much can you find the feeling-” Of feeling that you used to be a big strawberry wearing sunglasses. Now, I know this is silly, but likely if you really tune in, you cannot find that feeling because it’s not in your subconscious mind.
It’s not there. But then if I say instead, if I said, “Can you find the feeling of feeling hurt from the past?” Now, if you tune in and you can find that feeling, then it’s still there in your subconscious mind. It’s still there. And so often people will think, “Well, no, I’ve dealt with that. I’ve let that go.”
But the thing of it is, is if you can find it, it’s still there in your subconscious mind. And so ultimately what happens is when you really, really transform things, when you really heal it, when you really release it, it’s not there. Like even during my injury or the things that were impacting me, if I look back in my mindset and say, “Is that hurt there?”
If I really, really, really, really, really look for it, is the hurt there? No. If I really, really, really look for it, is the wounding there? Is the… Like, those feelings that I used to have, I can’t find them anymore. They’re, they’re just not there. They’re not there in the same way. They’re just not there anymore.
And so I don’t even see things in the same way. I don’t feel in the same way. It’s just gone. And so ultimately what we want to do to get real results is really identify what’s going on and what that is in the subconscious mind. What is the error? What is the problem? And then identify that and really transform it so you really, really feel different.
And so it’s not avoiding it, it’s really looking for it, because so often people will do that very thing where they’re kind of out of an avoidance. Like, they’re not really looking or they say, “Well, yes, I can see that it’s there, but I’ve taken care of it.” Well, it’s, it’s still there. Or even if you think about the last IQ episode that I mentioned, um, I gave the analogy of maybe somebody has a, a…
Maybe there’s a baby crying in the other room. So imagine there’s a baby crying in the other room, and if there’s a baby crying in the other room, taking, uh, the radio, taking, uh, music and turning it way, way, way, way up. Okay? Now, if that happens, problem fixed, right? Well, not really, because the baby is still crying in the other room.
And so, so often what happens is that ultimately people are trying to make the change, but the emotions, the hurt, the wounding or whatnot is still there at a deeper, deeper level, and that’s the level that it really needs to change at. To get radical healing results. And so my hope is this adds even more clarity to what needs to happen because I just, I’ve seen so often people genuinely trying to heal themselves and yet still feeling stuck.
And of course, I’m not judging. I was in the same place just trying to figure out what it needed, what I needed to do. And of course, that’s 20 years ago now. I’ve been healed for over 16, but you know, it, creating that change was key. And so really understanding the mind at a deeper, deeper level, uh, is crucial.
So asking yourself even, you know, what else is there? Being real with what’s real is extremely important. So, and also noticing if there’s emotions that are connected to other emotions that are holding them in place, genuinely transforming that, those layers, if you will. So those are the insights that I want to share with you, is just adding more and more clarity because, uh, let’s be honest, the more people who heal themselves and really, really, really get real results and are healing themselves and happy and healthy, truly the better this world is for all of us.
And so that, of course, is my hope for you and for everybody in our world. And so on that note, if you are somebody who would like to actually listen to this actual session with John, you can do so by clicking the link in the show notes, and you can listen to the ep- the session where I actually worked with him.
Or if you would like to listen to a free training to understand mind body healing and how I’ve been able to get incredible results and you want any more details there, there is a link in the show notes for a free training as well. And so that is available. And as always, I want to ask you to take just a quick moment to hit the share button on this episode.
You know, share it with somebody you love, somebody you care about, or somebody you don’t even know, because the more that every single person in our world feels happy and healthy and loved and loving, truly the better this world is for all of us. And so it has been such a pleasure connecting with you, and I wish you an incredible rest of your day and look forward to connecting with you on the next episode.
