Do you ever feel like your mind is always overthinking things?
Maybe you’re up at night going over the same situation again and again. Or maybe you’re trying to make a decision, but your mind keeps going back and forth… and instead of feeling clear, you feel even more stuck.
So often, people can feel a sense of uncertainty, hesitation, or even analysis paralysis. They may try to tell their mind to “just stop thinking about it,” distract themselves, watch TV, or escape from the thoughts — but the mind keeps looping over the same thing.
In this short Quick IQ episode, Brandy shares a simple but powerful counterintuitive insight that can help you look at overthinking in a whole new way.
And if you’ve ever felt like your brain is always overthinking, looping, or keeping you stuck, this episode can help you begin shifting your mind toward greater clarity, empowerment, and peace.

Welcome to Heal Yourself. Change Your Life. I’m Brandy Gillmore, and what I’m most known for is helping people to create radical transformations, and even demonstrating the power of the mind and self-healing under medical equipment so you can see the results. And my work has even been published in a medical journal because it’s truly incredible what we are all capable of when we understand our own minds at a deeper level.
So whether you’re new to this work or you’ve been studying the power of the mind for many years, I love that you’re here. I love that we’re on this incredible journey together, and I look forward to sharing breakthrough information with you. That said, on this podcast, I’ll share two types of episodes.
First, self-healing episodes where I share key insights from working with live volunteers. And the second type are where I answer questions from the audience. That said, if you’d like to volunteer or submit a question, come visit me at BrandyGillmore.com. On that note, let’s dive in
It can be so common in our world for people to feel like they’re always overthinking things. Now, what’s beautiful is that so often I’ve seen people when they’re able to fix this issue in their mind, they actually are able to think with more clarity. They’re able to be more successful in their relationships, life, business, whatever it is, because they’re ultimately rewiring their way of thinking and getting their mind to work in an even better, more efficient way for them.
And, and of course, it makes for a happier mindset as well. And so I want to provide you today with a very quick but powerful insight that can help you to shift this because as you hear me say all of the time, the mind is very counterintuitive. And so if you have been somebody who has felt that feeling, where you felt like your mind is always overthinking everything, and it’s going over and over and over and over it, then this simple but powerful insight is this: is a lot of times what actually happens is the mind is not thinking things through all of the way from A to Z.
And so what can happen is that there’s an uncertainty or there’s a fear, or there’s something that the mind is wanting to show you or to think all the way through, and it’s stuck. So think about it like a car trying to go forward, but it keeps hitting a block, and so it’s keep trying and trying and trying, and it hits a block.
And so it’s, it’s, it’s stuck. And so that’s the very thing that the mind can do is that maybe there’s something going on in life that you really need to think through, that would be helpful for you to think through from A to Z, to really think it through all of the way, and that would be very beneficial.
And by the way, I’ve worked with people with, you know, multi-hundred million dollar companies or, or a relationship where they really needed to think things through, or children or whatever it is, variety of different situations with health, with life, that ultimately they needed to really think it through of what was happening, to think about it in a, in an empowering way to be able to be successful.
But the thing that they were experiencing in their life, in their own mindset, was they felt like their mind was overthinking things. They felt like, “Oh, my mind is stuck, just going over and over and over something.” Not because the brain was overthinking, but because of either the way the mind is programmed to think or because it’s not actually thinking things through all of the way.
And then so what can happen is a person, maybe they’re trying to go to sleep at night and they keep overthinking things, or feels like they’re overthinking the same thing over and over and over because they’re not actually thinking things through, because what can happen is, is sometimes that unknown territory takes a little effort, takes…
You know, the brain doesn’t already know it, so when we learn and we continue to expand throughout life, we continue to learn things. And so if the brain doesn’t know it yet, it can feel very stuck. And so that’s actually the insight that I want to share with you is exactly that, is that if you feel like your brain is overthinking something- that I invite you to question that and see if it’s actually just in stuck thinking, if that circular s- cyclical type of thinking on something is actually stuck, and if your brain is actually just not been able to think it through all the way, in which case you could sit down and kind of think through and say, “Okay, what else is next?”
Because that can be a pow- powerful place for your brain to be and to continue to grow. And also, the other thing is, is this, is so often what can happen is a person has a habit of not thinking things through all of the way, and then what can happen is this, is if they’re not thinking things through, then the brain becomes afraid of making decisions.
They go, “Oh, I always make bad decisions,” or, or they have this subconscious fear, like this intuitive type of fear to do something because they haven’t thought it through all of the way. And so now the mind is stuck over and over and over thinking about the same thing, or they have this fear and they go, “Ugh, I just can’t get myself to take action because my brain is always overthinking everything.”
And really, it’s underthinking about it in the right way, where it’s not just… it’s just not thinking it through. And so this can be a powerful insight for healing, for transformation, because if you rewire your mind to think things through, you find that y- y- your mind and what you can do and be and create and enjoy in this life is beyond what you currently think.
You know? It… because it continues to expand your mind. So, you know, one of the things that you’ll notice even in going through, like, my video course, is a lot of times it’s reprogramming how the mind works and the neural pathways, but then it’s also grounded. You know, uh, contrast, like clarity. What is the problem?
What can you do differently? And so it’s really also, after you’re programming the mind and the neural pathways, it’s also getting grounded and practical and saying, you know, “What is happening?” And so that’s the insight that I want to share with you today is exactly that, is if you feel like your mind is overthinking everything- Look at it, analyze it, notice.
Is it actually overthinking things or is it under-thinking things so much so that your mind is not letting it go because it’s trying to help you? It’s saying, “Hey, come back here. Come back here and pay attention. This piece really needs to be thought through instead.” So that can be a definite thing that shows up.
All right. So that is today’s insight, and so please do take just a m- quick moment to hit the share button on this episode. You know, share it with somebody you love, somebody you care about, somebody you don’t even know, because the more that every single person feels empowered and happy and healthy and loved and loving, truly the better this world is for all of us.
And of course, if you are somebody who is working on healing yourself, there is a free training in the show notes, um, that, where you can get the link in the show notes that you can really understand the difference of more practical understanding of how to learn to heal yourself and change your life. So those are the insights for today’s quick IQ episode, and I wish you an incredible rest of your day.
I look forward to connecting with you on the next episode. We’ll see you there
