Brandy has often shared how frustrating it was when she was trying to heal herself and doing so many of the things that were “supposed” to work—yet they simply weren’t creating the results she needed.
It wasn’t until she began simplifying the information, looking at what research revealed about the power of the mind, and making a few pivotal discoveries that everything started to shift.
In this powerful breakthrough episode, Brandy shares one of those simple but profound insights through the lens of a live self-healing session with a beautiful volunteer named Elan. Elan had been working on herself for years, sitting with painful emotions, trying to heal, and wanting to create change—yet she still felt stuck, frustrated, self-critical, and hurt in her relationships.
Brandy unpacks why healing may require more than sitting with the same emotions or revisiting the same patterns. Instead, she explains how creating new—can help move your emotions, health, relationships, and life in a new direction.
This episode is heartfelt, eye-opening, and empowering. It offers a simple way to better understand the self-healing mindset and why shifting the patterns in the mind can be so pivotal.

Welcome to Heal Yourself. Change Your Life. I’m Brandy Gillmore, and what I’m most known for is helping people to create radical transformations, and even demonstrating the power of the mind and self-healing under medical equipment so you can see the results. And my work has even been published in a medical journal because it’s truly incredible what we are all capable of when we understand our own minds at a deeper level.
So whether you’re new to this work or you’ve been studying the power of the mind for many years, I love that you’re here. I love that we’re on this incredible journey together, and I look forward to sharing breakthrough information with you. That said, on this podcast, I’ll share two types of episodes.
First, self-healing episodes where I share key insights from working with live volunteers. And the second type are where I answer questions from the audience. That said, if you’d like to volunteer or submit a question, come visit me at BrandyGillmore.com. On that note, let’s dive in
Hello, and happy beautiful day to you. I want to add in a quick but important note to make this podcast very easy to navigate, because today’s episode has a special format. Today, I worked with a live volunteer, and as you probably know, there are a lot of people who are now using AI to modify information online.
For that reason, we have taken an extra step to help protect our beautiful volunteer and the integrity of this work to help keep the information from being modified. And we actually love how this turned out because it provides you with even more information. This is how it works. On today’s episode, you’ll hear an overview of the person that I worked with, and I will provide you with simple but powerful breakthrough insights that helped our volunteer begin making a radical shift.
Then, at the end of this short breakthrough episode, if you are ready for a deep dive, you can click in the show notes to gain access to the actual self-healing session where I worked directly with the live volunteer. This enables us to help protect the information online from being modified while still continuing to provide you with powerful information to help bridge the gap between science and spirituality and personal empowerment, because it’s truly incredible what you are capable of when you learn to understand your mind at a deeper level.
That said, let’s dive into the simple but powerful insights that came from working with today’s volunteer. Here we go
So a quick and easy way to think about the mindset of self-healing or establishing new neural pathways is this, is imagine that there’s a train that has been running the same train tracks, but you create a different set of train tracks that goes to a different destination. Now ultimately, that’s what you want to do with your mindset for self-healing is to create new neural pathways that can enable you to really ultimately heal yourself and change your life.
Now let me break this down even more on why it can feel tricky, is that so often people will do things like, um, sit with the emotion if you will and they’ll sit with the mindset or the same negative emotion and what is ultimately happening is that they’re still running their mindset or their patterns on the same train track at a subconscious level and so they’re not really creating the, the change that they want.
Now I want to unpack this further because today’s volunteer that I worked with, her name is Elan and she’s such a beautiful being and this is where she had been stuck, is ultimately she was doing something that, you know, so many people here to do which is they’ll sit with the negative emotion. And unfortunately what had been happening is that she’s been working with her mind for many, many, many, many, many years and instead of healing and getting better, she’s actually had more and more and more problems, and more and more and more diagnoses and I see this all of the time.
Now ultimately the way you want to think about it is like this, is that people will have a tendency to believe that this is true, that they need to sit with the negative emotion. But if we look at scientific research for a moment, you know, you hear me p- refer to people with multiple personality disorder all of the time because that research during my own injury 20 years ago, uh, woke me up to the awareness of the power of the mind and, you know, if you think about multiple personality disorder, it is established in research that a person can have one illness in one personality and a completely different, quote-unquote, incurable disease in a different personality.
So you can see when there is a radical shift in the mindset that ultimately there can be a radical shift in health or of course if you’ve seen my work under medical equipment, you’ve seen like I’ll show people how to create a radical change where they’re, you know, literally you can have chronic pain for years and years and years- And I show them how to create that radical shift and it changes.
Now the reason that I want to emphasize this is because, you know, ultimately what I see happen all of the time is people are sitting with the negative emotion and they’re sitting with it or they’re going into it and literally, again, getting more and more and more diagnoses and they’re frustrated because they’re not getting the results.
And so that was the situation with our volunteer today is, is again, she just… she’s this beautiful being and, and some of her patterns were feeling frustrated, feeling, you know, critical of herself, feeling frustrated that she’s not getting results, and also feeling a lot of anger and upset towards her childhood, feeling unloved in her relationships.
And so all of these emotions she’s been experiencing and she’s known about and she’s been trying for years, and yet is still stuck. So if we simplify it and we think about the new neural pathways and the new train tracks, if you will, ultimately as you build new, quote-unquote, train tracks or neural pathways in your mindset, that’s when it goes to healing.
That’s when it goes to the different destination to get a different result. And so, uh, food for thought and also another way we can see this by the way, if you think about people who, um, let’s say somebody unfortunately with the widowhood effect, maybe you’ve heard before that a senior can lose a spouse and have unfortunately a much higher rate of death following their loss.
Now typically speaking, that loss is when a person is feeling like the highest intensity of negative emotions. And so it is well established in research that intense negative emotions can have a more, a bigger impact. You know, if you think about somebody who’s got intense anxiety, they could have a really bad panic attack if you will.
And so point being is just, you know, unfortunately I… Actually if you think about the last IQ episode, the entire IQ episode was all about things that I see people doing that are keeping themselves stuck unfortunately, and part of the reason I have such a passion about this is because I was doing the very thing, the very same thing.
During my injury I was doing all of the, quote-unquote, things that were supposed to work and they weren’t working. You know, even if we think about meditations, it can be great or it can be nice, but it doesn’t always necessarily establish new neural pathways that are needed to consciously take us to a new destination.
So you know even a lot of the times people might be checking out or just trying to release stress, release negativity But what are the new neural pathways? What is the new pattern? What are the new, quote-unquote, “train tracks” that are needed? Because when you start to get those new, quote-unquote, “train tracks” into your mind and you really establish them in your mindset, it really does become absolutely life-changing.
And that’s… If I were to simplify what I did to heal myself, it is exactly that. I ultimately created some new train tracks, new neural pathways in my mind, and really got them in the right ones, and then released and got rid of the old ones so my mindset never went back into the old, and I’ve been able to sustain healing.
You know? I’ve been healed now for what? Over 16 years. And happy, healthy, great, can run, you know? And, and so ultimately what we are capable of is so incredible, but we need to work with the mind in a different way. So food for thought, and also, of course, being nice to yourself. So that was another insight that I want to share from the episode and session where I worked with our beautiful volunteer, Alana, is exactly that, is so often people can be mean to themselves, hard on themselves, and then in their relationships they feel sensitive, they feel reactive, they feel hurt because they’re already being so mean to themselves.
And it, it almost like makes it feel impossible to really create loving, harmonious relationships if you’re feeling negative and mean to yourself. And then of course, because sometimes people will feel frustrated at what they’re doing, they’re frustrated trying to create a change in life and it’s not working, and so that those feelings all just kind of pile up and, um, and just continue to amplify which goes the wrong direction.
And so just food for thought that… Notice, by the way, another thing is notice how I tend to like simplify things to my mind, and that was another thing that really helped me during my injury, is I said, you know, I have a tendency to do exactly that, is I simplify things and say, “Okay, how can I see this?
Where can I see this? How can I make this easy and doable and just get results?” Because that was the biggest thing that I was focused on. And so that’s another thing I’d invite you to do is think in terms of train tracks, simplify the information, create the real mindset shift. Because just like a train, when you really create different train tracks, neural pathways, it really does take your life, your health, your happiness in a whole new, more amazing direction if you program it for that.
So food for thought. And of course, by the way, if you want to listen to this full session, you’ll absolutely love our beautiful volunteer, Elan. She has a beautiful heart. She’s so loving and sweet and a great sense of humor and, um, and just really insightful. So the link is in the show notes for that. And if you are somebody who would like a deeper training of understanding how mind body healing works, that link is also in the show notes as well, so you can access it there.
And as always, I want to ask you, please do take just a quick moment to hit the share button on this episode. You know, share it with somebody you love, somebody you care about, or somebody you don’t even know. Because truly, the more amazing that every single person feels, the more empowered that every single person feels to work with their mind to heal themselves, to change their lives, the more wonderful this world is for all of us.
